Capítulo 29: Ji Hoon

On the other side of the city, Ji Hoon was lying on a comfortable sofa with his eyes closed.

A shadow of a man loomed from behind the semi-transparent curtains covering the kitchen. The man kept humming a piece of melody like he was enjoying what he was doing.

He even stopped moving the pan over the fire to make dancing movements with his feet and body. He didn't listen to any music but the one formed by his humming.

"Ouch!"

At this moment Ji Hoon opened his eyes to feet with such throbbing pain in his head. He couldn't help but to sit straight while squeezing his temples with both hands.

"Awake already?" a familiar voice came from behind the curtains as that man stopped the humming he was making. "You were sleeping like a fat girl!"

"Does this mean... I was snoring?" Ji Hoon couldn't open his eyes without feeling pain. Even the dim light in the place didn't make him feel any comfortable.

"Let's not talk about this," the sound of the man came closer before his shape appeared as he passed through the curtains.

He was a middle aged man with grey hair and good physique. His muscles looked swollen as if he cared attentively about them.

And he wasn't any shorter than Ji Hoon.

"Old man?" Ji Hoon could recognize the voice but this was actually the first time for him to see the old man in the flesh.

"Don't say that mean word to me!" The old man put two plates in front of Ji Hoon before he sat on the small table there. "Come, you must feel weak already."

"What happened?" At this point, memories started to flood Ji Hoon's mind like a tsunami. His eyes became wide open, forming a big circle. While his face gave a funny expression to the old man.

"Hahaha, I swear even you will laugh at your face at the moment," the old man couldn't control his laughs any longer.

"I mean it," however Ji Hoon didn't find any fun in this, "what the hell happened to me? Where... wait... where is Anna?"

"Anna?" the old man faked ignorance before Ji Hoon adjusted his body fast.

"She is the girl that I saved," he said, "the one in the picture I sent to you the other night."

"Which night?" the old man kept playing dumb, "look around you, it's almost a new night here."

"What?!" Ji Hoon was surprised before he looked at the direction the old man pointed at. The world looked dark through the wide window covering the entire wall behind Ji Hoon.

"Eat before it goes cold," the old man grabbed two sticks before starting to eat his noodles. Ji Hoon watched what he was doing and at this moment he sniffed the aroma of the food.

"Yeah, eating is much better than talking about the past," the old man chuckled while watching Ji Hoon eating.

"I need to know what happened," Ji Hoon was still persistent over this point, "I recall strange things! You wouldn't believe me if I told you!"

"Then don't," the old man weirdly said, "I don't want to take you to a hospital and check on your brain!"

Ji Hoon gave him a suspicious gaze. "Why do you act indifferent towards what happened to me? And how come you found me in the first place!"

"It's simple," the old man kept eating as if he wasn't bothered by any of Ji Hoon's questions, "I felt a bit worried when you closed the call. Do you remember calling me earlier?"

Ji Hoon recalled this as he called the old man asking to hack into the cameras inside the park. However that didn't make him feel any satisfaction or be at ease.

"Why aren't you eating?" the old man motioned to the plate before adding, "it won't taste good if it becomes cold."

"I want to know everything first," Ji Hoon pushed the dish aside, "tell me what you are hiding!"

"Why is acting so mean to the one who saved your ass?" The old man seemed to be pissed off at Ji Hoon's persistence.

"You won't escape this using such a way," but Ji Hoon said while returning his back and crossing his arms, "I want to know everything!"

"I have nothing to tell you," the old man kept eating and totally ignored him.

"Is that so?" Ji Hoon started to feel anxious about Anna. He strangely felt like some sort of a whip lashed his soul at this moment.

Even the old man noticed the change over his face and stopped eating for a moment there. "What's wrong?" the old man looked at him deeply while asking in a calm tone.

"Anna..." Ji Hoon couldn't help but turn his gaze towards the window behind. He couldn't see the old man's face at this moment, and if he did he would feel more suspicious of the old man.

As the look the old man had was a look of trouble and worry. As if he knew things, things Ji Hoon didn't.

However Ji Hoon was in his own world right now. He felt strange worry over Anna, just the same as the night he first met her.

Something kept bothering him, pushing him to stand and leave. But there was one problem here.

"Old man," Ji Hoon turned to the old man before adding, "Where is Anna right now?"

"Again with nonsense," the old man tried to avoid answering him, but Ji Hoon seemed dead fixated on getting an answer.

"I swear if you don't tell me right now I'll move ahead and go directly towards her mansion!" Ji Hoon said in a threatening tone.

"Then go," however the old man decided to continue his act, "what business do I have with what you plan to do anyway."

"Yeah, I also feel the same," Ji Hoon felt odd, but that feeling kept pestering him. He couldn't stop thinking about Anna and so he decided to go on and head out right now.

Just as he walked towards the door, the old man couldn't help but sigh.

"Wait," he stood up before pointing towards the sofa Ji Hoon was upon, "come, we need to talk."

"We just did," Ji Hoon was already feeling irritated by the nagging feeling he had.

"Just sit and listen," the old man sighed, as if he didn't want to say anything to him at the moment, "I guarantee you won't be disappointed."

"If you are trying to stop me from finding her, then you should stop here!" Ji Hoon said without moving a muscle.

"Why do you act like this about such a girl?" the old man's face changed before he said in alarming tone, "she is dangerous to you! Can't you see that?! Why do you act like an angel with her each time?!"

"This..." Ji Hoon instantly had his face changed the moment he heard the word "Angel". "I've to go," he turned around and didn't wait for the old man to say anything before leaving.

"Damn it! You won't survive this way!" the old man threw his body on the couch before closing up his eyes. "The heaven's curse is really brutal... What should I do?"
