Zixin made a mad dash towards the elevator. Even if he had to go to the basement again, he would. Because this baby monster was much more dangerous than the normal monsters and zombies.
The ground under him trembled.
"Shit, it's alive!"
He felt the wind whooshing behind him.
The baby was close.
"Fuck it!" He did not have the time to take the elevator. He took a right turn and dashed into the corridor.
"Where can I be safe from this thing… think, Zixin! Think!" He frantically looked around.
The signs said that the left corridor was leading to the Operation rooms. "For now, this will do." He quickly took a left.
The baby wailed and screamed behind him, spluttering a rain of spit on the back of his neck.
Trembling, Zixin ran.
He did not even know how long he ran, but he ran until his lungs were burning. He quickly found an open operation room and entered it, closing the door.
As he had guessed, the doors were quite sturdy. It could hold for a while. This gave him ample time to find some other weapon to defeat that thing.
Like a frantic person, he went scouring around the empty operation room. "What the hell can kill it!" He picked up a scalpel. "This is useless!" He tossed it away.
"Xinxin, to your left…" the little snake whispered softly, close to his ear.
Zixin turned to his left to see something fallen on the ground. It looked like a saw and was connected to the wires. "How does this thing work…" He fiddled with it a bit.
The saw switched on, letting out a light hum. "This is too small!"
"It's a bone saw, Xinxin. It can even cut through bones and flesh…"
"How do you know that…" he gazed at it peculiarly.
"I had some time to study about your world, okay… just go kill it! Go, go, Xinxin!"
Zixin did not have the time to think about it anymore as the door to the operation room burst open. The huge thing crawled in, wailing.
"It better work… or else I'm making a belt out of you!"
