Alex took out his hammer, blocking the attack, while his ability observed Byakhee's body. Even though it didn't show much, he could see he was crumbling.

He speculate the body was also not immune to the energy used before, which made the attack harm his body.

Byakhee launched a chain of attacks, not giving Alex a chance to make any movement.

With the distance between them, Alex was in trouble; his hammer was more effective in close quarters.

Against a spear with further reach that moved at faster speeds, he barely managed to deflect them, only thanks to him calculating his movements a few steps ahead.
