The screen shows a long shot of the throne room; it is now the following morning. Cadence sits on the royal seat, while Celestia and Luna stand one level down to her left and right, respectively. All six mares and one dragon are lined up on Celestia's side of the carpet, paying close attention. Zoom in slowly.

"Sunset Shimmer, a former student of mine", said Celestia.

The screen cut to a slow pan along the row, front end to back, where Twilight and Spike are standing.

"She began her studies with me not long before Twilight. But when she did not get what she wanted as quickly as she liked, she turned cruel and dishonest", Celestia explained."I tried to help her…"

Cadence steps closer Celestia

". …but she eventually decided to abandon her studies and pursue her own path", Celestia continues her story.

The screen cut to Twilight,Spike, and I; she continues.

"One that has sadly led her to stealing your crown", Celestia finished.

"She replaced Twilight's with this one", said Spike, holding the fake crown.

"I suppose Sunset Shimmer thought you wouldn't notice right away that this was not yours, and by the time you did…" Celestia studied the fake crown, then started pacing.

Twilight catches up with Celestia.

" …it would be too late to go after your crown and Element of Harmony", said Celestia.

"But I don't understand! Where did she go?" Twilight asks confused, while looking at Celestia.

All others follow them.

"Where did she take the crown?" asked Twilight.

"You'll soon know more about this place than even I do", said Celestia.

The screen shows a close-up of the mirror and zoom in slowly.

"This is no ordinary mirror. It is a gateway to another world—a gateway that opens once every thirty moons", said Luna, stepping into a view of the mirror.

One bright pink hoof reaches into view and taps the glass, creating the same phosphorescent ripples that occurred when the tiara passed through it.

"Sparkly!"exclaimed Pinkie.

Luna rolls her eyes disgustedly, using her magic to push the limb back. Cut to a longer shot of the relic collection; Cadence is here as well, along with the seven mares and dragon.

"It has always been kept in the throne room of Canterlot Castle", said Luna.

The screen cut to a slow pan across the eight.

"But when Princess Cadence took over the Crystal Empire, we sent it here for her to watch over", said Luna

Celestia enters behind them with a heavy sigh.

"I had always hoped that Sunset Shimmer would someday use it to return, to come back to Equestria seeking my guidance", Celestia hoped.

Celestia says bitterly, "Obviously, this is not what has happened".

"Twilight…" said Cadence, as she stepped forward.

"…you must use the mirror to go into this other world and retrieve your crown. Without it, the other Elements of Harmony have no power and Equestria is left without one of its most important means of defense", said Cadence.

The screen cut to Twilight, steadily approaching the mirror, at the end of this. She stops to give it a searching, unsure gaze; her friends and number-one assistant trade fearful looks among themselves. The camera then cuts to Twilight, Luna, and Cadence and zooms out slowly from them and the glass as Celestia steps toward them.

"Your crown does not belong in the place Sunset Shimmer now calls home. And in her possession, your Element of Harmony will no doubt be used to bring harm to the inhabitants of this other realm", said Luna.

The screen cuts to Twilight, eyeing the mirror.

"They will not have the power to defend themselves", said Luna.

A pair of saddlebags is floated onto her back and one open flap is closed—by Rarity, judging from the color of the aura moving them.

"You understand the importance of your task?" asked Celestia.

"Of course", said Twilight.

"Good. Then you must go at once", said Celestia.

The purple eyes narrow in sudden determination and Twilight takes a deep breath, letting it out as she steps toward the mirror. Before she can even get a hoof onto its mounting platform, however, Rainbow swoops down and lands squarely in her path.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa", said rainbow dash,extreme close-up, grinning fiercely.

"She's going?" asked Rainbow dash

The other four mares stand with her, smiling.

"We're going with her", said Rainbow dash.

Big squeaky grin from Pinkie.

"Right, girls?" asked Rainbow Dash.

"Oooooh! I'm so nervi-cited!" Pinkie says giddily.

"You do realize that's not a real word, right?" asked Applejack.
