Waking up, Shiro found himself in a completely different environment than the mock city where the entrance exam had taken place. The sounds of chaos and destruction were replaced with a calm, sterile quiet. Blinking away the haze from his eyes, he surveyed his surroundings and realized he was in an infirmary.

The white walls, the faint scent of antiseptic, and the steady hum of medical equipment all pointed to one place: UA's medical wing. In the corner of the room, a petite woman sat at a desk, typing away on a computer. Her distinctive white nurse's outfit and syringe in her hair were unmistakable.

'Recovery Girl,' Shiro thought, recognizing her immediately.

Adjusting himself on the bed, Shiro sat up slowly, the movement catching her attention. She turned, her kind eyes meeting his, and gave him a warm smile.

"Ah, you're awake, young man. Took you a bit, but that's to be expected after exhausting yourself the way you did," Recovery Girl said, standing and walking over to his bedside.

"Where am I?" Shiro asked, his voice hoarse from fatigue.

"You're in UA's infirmary," Recovery Girl explained, her tone patient as she gently patted his arm. "You passed out after the practical exam. Quite the show you put on. You've got a strong spirit, I'll give you that."

Shiro frowned slightly. 'Was I really that tired?' he wondered, glancing at his hands.

"How much time has passed?" he asked, his voice still rough as he leaned back against the bed's headboard.

Recovery Girl turned her gaze to the clock on the wall before replying. "It's only been about an hour since the exam ended. You pushed yourself pretty hard out there, young man. Your body just needed a little time to catch up."

Shiro let out a small sigh of relief, processing her words. 'Only an hour… I guess collapsing wasn't as bad as I thought. Still, I need to be more careful next time.' He nodded at her, offering a small smile. "Thank you for taking care of me."

"It's my job, dear," she said with a chuckle, pulling a chair closer to his bedside and sitting down. "But you were one of the more interesting cases. Most kids come in with scrapes, bruises, or quirk overexertion. But you… well, I wouldn't have pegged you as quirkless with how you fought out there."

Shiro's posture stiffened slightly, though he masked his reaction with a neutral expression. "I'm not quirkless," he said evenly. "I just didn't use my quirk."

Recovery Girl raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "You have a quirk? Why didn't you use it then?" She paused, narrowing her eyes. "All your documents say you're quirkless."

Sighing, Shiro leaned back against the headboard. "My quirk manifested recently," he explained, his tone calm but guarded. "I didn't use it because I wanted to test myself. If things had gotten too difficult, I would've used it."

Recovery Girl shook her head, though a faint smile lingered on her lips. "You boys are too much. Always putting yourselves in danger. Be careful from now on."

Shiro gave her a faint smile in return and nodded. "I'll keep that in mind."

Before their conversation could continue, the infirmary door burst open with a loud bang, startling both of them.

"Shiro!" a familiar voice called out.

Uraraka rushed into the room, her eyes wide with concern as she sprinted to his bedside. She gripped his arm tightly, her gaze frantically scanning him for any injuries. "Are you okay?!" she asked, her voice high-pitched and urgent. "I heard you passed out! You scared me half to death!"

Blinking in surprise, Shiro stared at her for a moment before managing a calm reply. "I'm fine," he said. "Just tired from the exam."

Uraraka let out a massive sigh of relief, her shoulders slumping. "Thank goodness," she said, her tone softening. "I thought it was something serious! Don't do that again, okay?"

Shiro chuckled softly, amused by her reaction. "I'll try not to."

Recovery Girl watched the scene unfold with a knowing smile. "Your friend here has been worried sick about you, young man. You're lucky to have someone looking out for you."

Blushing slightly, Uraraka waved her hand dismissively. "Well, I mean, of course I was worried! You pushed yourself so hard out there. What if something had gone wrong?"

"I appreciate it," Shiro said sincerely, his gaze steady as he met hers. "But really, I'm okay now. Besides, how did the exam go for you?"

Uraraka brightened at the question, though hesitation flickered across her face. She glanced briefly at Recovery Girl before focusing back on Shiro. "It was… interesting," she began, her tone a mix of excitement and lingering concern. "There was this huge zero-point robot, and everyone started running away. But then…" Her voice trailed off as the memory came back to her.

"Then what? Did something crazy happen?" Shiro asked, tilting his head slightly to feign curiosity.

Uraraka's eyes lit up as she continued. "Midoriya—that green-haired boy—he ran straight at it! Everyone else was running for their lives, but he jumped right at the thing and destroyed it with one massive punch!" She clenched her fists, her awe at the event evident.

Shiro raised his eyebrows, widening his eyes as he pretended to be surprised. "No way. He took down that giant thing by himself?"

Uraraka nodded eagerly. "Yeah! It was insane! But…" Her expression softened, and her tone grew quieter. "He used up all his strength just to save me."

Shiro's heart skipped a beat at her words, though his outward expression remained calm. 'So that's how it went… Midoriya, always finding a way to be the center of attention. I wish I could've seen it.' Crossing his arms, he pretended to mull it over. "Sounds like he really went above and beyond. That's incredible."

Uraraka leaned forward slightly, her enthusiasm giving way to concern. "But the thing is, he didn't take down any robots for points, so he ended up with nothing. I actually left earlier because I was trying to give him my points…"

Recovery Girl hummed softly, shaking her head. "That boy's got a hero's heart, no doubt about it. But sometimes saving others comes with sacrifices. Even so, those sacrifices often bear fruit."

Shiro glanced at Uraraka, noticing the conflicted look on her face. "Don't worry," he said, his tone reassuring. "I'm sure the judges saw what he did. UA wouldn't let something like that go unnoticed."

Uraraka's eyes widened, and a hopeful smile appeared on her face. "You really think so?"

Shiro nodded firmly. "I know so. They're looking for real heroes, right? That kind of courage has to count for something."

Beaming, Uraraka said, "You're right. Thank you, Shiro. So… how did you do?"

"I held my own," Shiro replied. "From what I've counted, I got 44 points."

"44?!" Uraraka gasped, her expression shifting to one of awe. "Wow, Shiro! You're amazing!"

'You got more points than me,' Shiro thought briefly. Out loud, he said, "It's nothing much. The movements of the robots were fairly predictable—nothing like fighting humans—" He stopped abruptly, realizing he had said too much. Hoping no one noticed, he kept silent.

"Really? Those were predictable movements to you?" Uraraka asked, tilting her head in confusion.

'Nothing like fighting humans, huh?' Recovery Girl thought, studying Shiro closely. 'This child must be seasoned in combat to spot such nuances. Only pros who fight regularly notice these things. Who is this boy?'

Shaking off her thoughts, Recovery Girl cleared her throat. "Alright, young lady, I think that's enough excitement for now. Shiro still needs to rest."

Shiro shook his head. "No, I'm completely fine now," he said, swinging his legs off the bed. He stood, but his balance faltered, forcing him to grip the side of the bed for support.

'Damn it,' Shiro thought, gritting his teeth. 'I overexerted myself too much. Recovery Girl can't help since this isn't an injury.'

"Take it easy," Recovery Girl said gently. "You just need a few more hours. Your parents have been called, and they're on their way here."

Shiro sighed and nodded, lowering himself back onto the bed. "Understood," he muttered.
