Classes ended, and the kids were exhausted not understanding why they still had to study maths and science even though they were supposed to become heroes.
Aomine didn't particularly care.
He had too many thoughts to take care of and thus had no time to even feel 'bored'. Ignoring Chrono-Lock, the system had given him two more Quirks.
Bloodbound and Echo Parasite.
[Bloodbound— By ingesting someone's blood, the user gains a temporary connection to them, allowing them to control their actions or inflict pain remotely. The control lasts for an hour and can be extended by drinking a larger quantity of blood.
The only condition is that the blood has to be fresh.]
[Echo Parasite— An invisible bug that could be implanted onto others, The user implants parasitic "echoes" of their own voice into a person's mind. These echoes can give commands, cause unbearable headaches, or trigger auditory hallucinations.
The Echo Parasite will disappear on its own after a few hours.]
Along with Chrono-Lock, this was his Evil Starter Pack.
The mysterious entity or rather System had pulled no punches while giving him abilities.
It was like saying, hey! Have a fun time for free.
The amount of fun he could have with these Quirks was unprecedented. The only drawback was attracting too much attention and getting locked up.
He was somewhat frustrated that the System directly implanted him into Class 1-A. If he could've been out of the radar of U.A. he could've acted more freely but now he knew that he was going to be monitored in school.
At least he couldn't do anything in school.
He'd have to experiment with his abilities after school.
…
Everyone left and Aomine too started heading home.
His house was an hour away from U.A. by walk.
He didn't mind it, he knew that U.A would be implementing dorms in the near future and that would in turn limit his freedom even more.
Of course, he could simply erase all of his worries by being a good citizen and a good hero.
But Aomine didn't want that.
In the real world, he was restricted by the laws.
And in this world, he was restricted by strength and heroes.
He abhorred it.
He wanted to do whatever he wanted.
He wanted to be free of societal chains.
He walked towards his home silently and observed the streets.
He wondered if he could find a 'target' to have fun with.
What Aomine wanted to do was find a vulnerable person.
He continued to think and several options passed through his mind. Around him, several other students were leaving. His eyes zipped across the sea of students, the multi-coloured hair still threw him off but considering literal animals were moving about, Aomine tried to ignore it.
However, a particular pair of brown and green caught his attention.
He couldn't help but smile.
Such bright and pure kids.
…
Aomine quickened his steps.
His eyes were fixed on the brown-haired girl with a short wide bob cut. She was animatedly talking to the green-haired boy with a thick layer of bandages around one of his fingers.
Aomine felt his heart go dark with desire.
He silently followed them till they parted ways and Ochako boarded the metro. Aomine realised why he had never done anything special in his previous life.
It was because he was a stupid fuck.
Attention to details, small insights and quick thinking either came with talent or training. Unfortunately, he lacked both.
Why was he calling himself stupid?
Because when the System was presenting him with options of the worlds he should've immediately researched and explored every character's details. That way he could've made a more elaborate plan.
The only reason he was even following them was because he remembered that many of U.A.'s students came from different states. How were they attending U.A. before the dorms were implemented?
The answer came instantly.
Rent or relatives.
He knew Midoriya lived with his mother but what about Ochako?
He walked towards the ticket centre and bought a ticket for the final station since he didn't know where she lived. He maintained some distance between them as he boarded the metro with her.
…
It didn't take long for Ochako to reach home.
From the look of the building she was entering, it was clear that she was living in a rented room.
Was her financial situation not that great?
Aomine couldn't help but wonder as he skimmed his phone while leaning against the wall like an innocent bystander. Of course, he made sure he didn't come into Ochako's vision.
The place where the apartment was located is a small and white three-story building.
Since the hallways were open Aomine didn't have to follow her all the way.
Ochako climbed the stairs on the second floor and entered the middle apartment. Aomine grinned and waited a few more minutes before climbing the stairs as well.
Looking at the door he stood in a way only his white shirt was visible through the peephole. The U.A blazer was resting in his hand. Since he had immediately followed Ochako he didn't get the time to change.
Knock knock!
A bunch of ruffled footsteps sounded before the door opened with a click.
Ochako was still in her uniform and interestingly enough her blazer was off with only the white shirt and red tie in place.
She looked at her visitor with a confused yet surprised glance blurting out, "...Aomine-kun?"
…
Ochako had lost her bubbly personality the moment she parted ways with Midoriya. She didn't need to act super happy any longer.
Today was an eye-opening experience.
She met so many new people with many unique quirks.
But that also let her know, that her quirk didn't seem to have much practicality, at least she couldn't think of anything creative right now.
Aomine, Todoroki, Midoriya, Bakugo, Momo etc had really cool Quirks with good power and potential but all she could do was reduce the gravity of objects she touched. She couldn't help but think she might end up as a support Hero and not earn much money.
Helping people was good and all but…
One of her major factors for becoming a Hero was to earn money.
Though feeling disappointed she didn't let it affect her too much. She took her blazer off and threw it on the couch.
She found a sense of freedom in her rented apartment, she wouldn't be scolded for things like this!
"Hehe~" she chuckled but just then the bell rang.
Ring Ring~
Ochako was confused.
She had just gotten home and she wasn't acquainted with anyone nearby besides her neighbours.
She opened the door only to be greeted by a fellow classmate.
He had short black hair and an angular face. Though there was a bit of chubbiness it didn't diminish his looks, while not particularly handsome he could be considered attractive.
He was half a head taller than her and was looking at her with a smile.
"... Aomine-kun?" Just as Ochako blurted his name out she felt her heart drop.
How did he know where she lived? Why was he here at the same time she returned home? Why did he have a creepy grin on his face? Why was Tsuyu so afraid of him after he used his Quirk?
She had talked to Tsuyu but Tsuyu seemed to be unable to articulate how she felt or rather what she felt.
All she said was 'Don't look into his eyes.'
All these questions flashed instantly but before she could close the door. Her eyes instinctively met his eyes and the beautiful ancient clock-like eyes bore into her.
Boom!
A silent explosion.
Ochako stood frozen at the door.
