*Meanwhile in another part of the school*
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOB*
The whole clasroom shook as four explosions hit some part of the academy building. "Everyone! Stay calm and hide under the desk! Hey, calm down!" The teacher was shouting to calm the students down, but everyone was terrified and running out of the place.
"Ash, take your weapon from the dimentional ring. I can sense a lot of intruders roaming outside." Lucy who was placing both her legs on the table brought them down to the ground as she stood up.
"Yeah I can sesne them too, there is at least 60 people out there." Ash followed behind her, taking his chain out and placing it on his neck, letting it swing infront of his body.
"HEY! Both of you idiots, its my job as the DC to fight those bad guys not you!" Feyrith who was next to them shot from his seat to stop them.
"What? Do you expect us just to watch people get hurt while you fight? Dont be stupid." Ash gave his a disapointed look mixed with anger.
*Sigh* "Ugh! All right all right, you can help me out but dont slow me down both of you!" Feyrith shouted, taking quick steps to be the one on the front leading the group.
"That's my line!" Ash said with an amused smile.
"Tsk..." Lucy just ignored him.
Once the group walked out, the scene was something they saw for the first time. All of them. A group of dark robed mages, their faces concealed by hooded cloaks. Arcane symbols glow on their hands as they unleash destructive spells, sending shockwaves through the walls.
Chaos ensues as the attackers hurl bolts of energy, shattering windows and splintering wooden doors. The once vibrant classrooms echo with the sounds of magical clashes, students fleeing in panic as the assailants relentlessly pursue, leaving destruction in their wake.
The air crackles with the clash of opposing enchantments, and the academy's protective wards strain under the relentless assault. Students, wide eyed and trembling, attempt to counter with their own spells, but the sheer power of the terrorists overwhelms their fledgling abilities.
[THUNDER CLAP!]
Ash attacked the close enemies on the right side of the hall way with his technique knocking them out on the spot, while Lucy was smashing them with huge metal gloves to the left side all while running.
'Why are these two not part of the DC? Like seriously, this makes me question a lot of things...' Lucas though with a disapointed look, disapointed in himself.
The group of three kept sprinting through the corridors of the school protecting who they could get in time, from the hooded people until they reached the main entrace of the building. And once they stepped out the sight was truly impressive and scary at the same time.
The once majestic school building, adorned with enchanting spires and intricate magical glyphs, now bears the scars of a relentless assault. Cracks spiderweb across the walls as if they were woven by chaotic forces, and the elegant stained glass windows lay shattered, their vibrant hues now a mosaic of destruction scattered across the floors, as fire spread like pest.
The main entrance, once a grand portal of polished marble and enchanted doors, now stands battered and splintered, barely clinging to its hinges. Magical wards etched into the stone facade flicker intermittently, struggling to repel the invasive dark energies that have seeped into every nook and cranny.
A lot of students corpses lay on the ground, cold, their last expressions filled with fear and pain as they lay there motionlessly.
"Oh your here and you have the necklace on you, great! This saves me time from looking for you!" Turning towards the one who spoke, they were facing one of the DC memeber of this school pressing his right foot on the head of the corpse of one of the students.
He suddently flashed next to Lucy, and with an air blade he cuted through air, aiming for her body, but her recent years of experience saved her from a fatal blow, yet she didnt come out uscathed.
*Thud*
With a soft thud, her left arm fell to the ground as she jumped back holding her severed bicep. Blood dripping like a fountain from the wound.
"LUCY!" Ash ran towards her giving her arm a studying look. 'Fuck, I dont think there is a magic or healing potion that could grow her arm back.' He knew that such an injury was permanent and irreversible and the only thing he could do was to give her a healing potion from his storage ring to slow the blood loss.
"I droped my guard god damn it! It fucking hurts Ughhh" She said while Ash poured the potion on the wound.
While Ash was treating Lucy, Feyrith walked up to face Baron head on. "You will pay for what you did to her! DC memeber of not I will make you regret this." He naively said.
"You still consider me a DC memeber? How considerate and naive of you, I became one of you simply to execute my orders. And after killing you all, I will go after the elven princesses then finally the dragon sin of wrath. I will enjoy looking at his expression with the princess's head is in my hand" Barons' smile grew wider giving him a sinister and devilish look.
"YOU! IM GONNA BEAT SOME SENSE INTO YOU!" Feyrith lifted his hand preparing his spell.
[ROARING WATERFALL!]
But, contrary to what he expected, the spell he is trying to conjure didnt form at all. 'What is this? I cant feel my mana! No... Its not that, I can actualy feel it, but I cant access it! What is going on?!'
"Fufufu, I love the expression your making right now! Those are the power of a real god! He gave them to me with that letter. Now, it's your time to die." Baron had a friendly yet scary calm smile on his face as he slowly walked towards Feyrith.
'If I can't use my mana, then im done for. I cant fight in close combat... FUCK!' Is what Feyrith thought.
*Meliodas POV*
Upon hearing what Amaya just said, I didnt think twice as I ran while asking her. "Amaya! Can you sense her? Where is she right now?"
"Yes papa, she is next to the main entrance. Where the big gates are!" Amaya replied.
I sprinted my way through the halls ignoring the other students getting attacked. I dont feel bad for them, I never knew them anyways. Im not some kind of hero, if Lucy was not in danger I would've saved them but I will never sacrifice my friend for strangers, no matter their number.
Some of the terrorists tried to get on my way, but they quickly found themselves punched into pulp, exploding to hundreds of pieces around the ground and wall until I made my way to the place Amaya pointed.
Running through the door, I looked to my left side to see something I wished I never saw. Something that once again made me remember thr promise, the promise I did to my brother. One single promise I couldn't keep no matter how hard I tried.
I saw Baron facing Ash who had a lot of scars on his body, barely holding it together. He probably was fighting Baron. 10 meter behind them was Lucy, laying uncounscious with her left arm severed.
And finally, what teared my heart apart was the corpse of Feyrith missing two limbs, and his head not on his shoulders anymore, a few meters aways from his body.
Both Baron and Ash stoped when they noticed me, turning their gazes towards me. "Im sorry Meliodas..." Ash said, looking down.
