"Jolien... you should wake up for the big day" Mrs Irene called as she slapped the little girl's leg.
"Mummy... let me sleep more please" Jolien pleaded but her mum wouldn't listen to this.
Soon she was dragged out of bed and was dressed up by the maids.
Now for the Introduction; Jolien is the only daughter of her father and mother, and she had two brothers. They were all of royal blood.
Today wasn't really a big day because her father was sending her brothers to continue learning while she was left in the castle, her room to be precise with her tutors. She had just turned eleven and she noticed that she could perceive things from afar than usual and her senses heightened. Whenever she told her mum. She would refuse to give her a proper explanation.
Atleast she wasn't too pampered; she could defend herself anytime, anywhere.
"Princess" the young maid called.
Jolien put on the dress at once.
"I have told you to call me by my name" She whined. The maid shook her head.
"I can't do that... I will be kill"
Jolien rolled her eyes.
'What a nuisance' she thought.
She really missed her brothers, though they wouldn't care about her.
The tutor had arrived always dressed in his usual black coat giving off an aura of aloofness and looking so strict but Jolien didn't care she had gotten used to the old man.
She followed him at once after the classes, she began her sword fighting lessons. No one was around to be her opponent. They had all left her by herself and the tutor just watched her.
"As excellent as ever Princess... your sword skills has improved" the man said.
She placed back the sword and her eyes scanned the place but everything was boring as usual.
She was tired of this Princess life. She wished for something else, something new. She couldn't run or play like other kids.
Just then her mother was at the yard with them, she smiled at once. Her mum was the greatest joy she had.
"Seems like your studies are over" the woman said and walked to her.
"Your brothers would be back soon, why don't we surprise them" her mum said with a smile.
"Of course"
Her brothers "Justin and George" treated her like a baby. She sometimes wished she wasn't the last child and her mum refused to have another child her dad was strictly against it.
Just when they have come up with a surprise her brother were already back in their carriage.
Jolien went to meet them.
"Little sis" They said with a smile.
"We brought you a gift..."
She looked at them with expectation.
