Capítulo 126: Chapter: 126

"Hey, what's going on here? Did I arrive late? Good evening, Captain. And you, Agent Romanoff, missed me after such a long time?"

Just as Loki surrendered, a stylish red Iron Man descended from the sky. It was Tony Stark, who arrived just in time.

"Good evening, Stark. I think you indeed arrived late, the situation here is already under control." Steve said to Tony beside him.

"I can see that. After all, no one would want to face that big guy over there. I have a deep understanding of that." Tony couldn't help but shudder inside his suit as he recalled the incident when he was crushed by Hover-cannon.

"But Nick Fury is really unreliable. If he already let you bring Hover-cannon, why did he make me rush over in a hurry..." Tony complained as he opened his faceplate.

"Maybe he knew that everything would be resolved smoothly. As for why he asked you to come. After all, Hover-cannon can't guard Loki for us on the plane." Steve speculated.

"So, I became the prisoner's babysitter!?"

...

On the way back, Natasha controlled the Quinjet from the cockpit, while Tony and Steve guarded Loki, who was already handcuffed, in the cabin. At the rear of the cabin was Hover-cannon, who had transformed back into its car form.

"I have a bad feeling about this," Captain said uneasily.

His enhanced senses and the sixth sense honed on the battlefield strongly reminded him that something was amiss.

Tony, with less experience, didn't care much and said, "What's wrong with Bambi surrendering obediently?"

"This guy is a superpowered individual from the same place as Thor, the God of Thunder, yet he surrendered without any resistance. That's not normal..."

"Anyway, the mission is completed successfully, and all's well that ends well. Maybe you should have a cocktail to relax your nerves that have been frozen for seventy years."

Boom! A lightning bolt ripped through the pitch-black night, and the loud sound caught the attention of Tony and the others.

"Why is there suddenly thunder and lightning?" Natasha said, puzzled, as she looked at the sudden darkening of the sky and the continuous lightning.

"What's wrong? Are you afraid of lightning?" Steve asked Loki, noticing his sudden unease.

Loki shook his head. "I just don't like the company that comes with the thunder..."

Bang! Just as Loki finished speaking, something seemed to have landed on the aircraft, alerting everyone inside the cabin.

Tony opened the cabin door and was about to go out to check the situation when he realized that a figure had already appeared in front of him. Without waiting for any inquiries, the figure swung a hammer towards him.

Thunk! Tony's repulsor gauntlets sensed the threat and automatically formed a defensive barrier, protecting him from the attack.

However, this preparation was insufficient. The defensive barrier was quickly breached after absorbing some of its force, and the mighty hammer still slammed onto Tony's abdominal armor, flipping him over.

The person who appeared was the God of Hammers—no, it should be Thor, the God of Thunder. After knocking down Tony, he grabbed Loki by the collar, lifted him off the seat in the cabin, and the two of them flew away together.

"Another troublemaker!" Tony angrily climbed up from the ground.

"Another Asgardian has arrived!" Natasha said, both shocked and helpless.

"But wasn't he on our side?" The captain, while looking at Thor's information, read that he had formed an alliance with S.H.I.E.L.D.

"That doesn't matter now. If he releases Loki or kills him, we won't be able to retrieve the Tesseract." Tony, who had been knocked down by Thor's hammer, couldn't just let it go. He wanted revenge and looked for an excuse to strike back.

"Stark, we need an attack plan." Steve loudly intervened from behind.

Tony stopped in his tracks, turned around with his back facing them, and replied, "I already have a plan: Attack!"

With that, he spread his palms, his thrusters burst, and Tony disappeared into the dark night in an instant.

Looking at the now empty cabin door, Steve sighed helplessly, opened the seat in the cabin, and took out a parachute pack from underneath.

"Captain, please don't cause any more trouble by following them. They can summon thunder, use magic, they're practically gods. Let's stay here and wait for orders."

Natasha turned around to persuade Steve.

"Agent Romanoff, Mark said something to me before, and I think it makes a lot of sense. We are not insignificant because the enemy is too powerful. It's just that we are not strong enough ourselves."

After giving Natasha some words of encouragement, Steve strapped on the parachute pack and leaped out of the cabin door.

Watching Steve disappear into the vast night, Natasha murmured, "Good luck, Captain."
