During the day, Arthur did more than rob a few thugs and buy underwear with the Eye of Horus. Now that he had it, he had to use it wisely.
Controlling it required focus, but after a few uses, Arthur realized that it was a skill that could be honed.
Essentially, using the Eye of Horus involved two steps.
The first was activation, which relied on the energy of the colorless crystals within his body.
The second was maintenance, which required sustained concentration. This didn't mean that Arthur had to be completely absorbed, he just careful not to lose focus on the Eye of Horus.
In simpler terms, it was akin to multitasking.
After leaving during the day, Arthur used the Eye of Horus to spy on those thugs. He interrupted three times due to his inferior mental control.
On the fourth attempt, Arthur found Randolph's headquarters.
So tonight he planned to do something - not immediately against Randolph, for hasty action was bad for everyone.
He intended to observe first, a habit from his combat days: observe, plan, then execute.
...
...
Around 10 p.m., Arthur appeared on a street corner.
Across the street was a club where the thugs had returned. Arthur also spotted the legendary Randolph.
This guy had no potential as a godfather, he was just a middle-aged muscle man, all brawn in a suit.
The stark contrast between his clothes and his demeanor always felt awkward.
Of course, that wasn't Arthur's focus.
In the void, he summoned the Eye of Horus, which penetrated the interior of the club...
Amidst the flashing lights and swaying dance floor, the people let go of their vibrant energies.
Arthur glanced around, using the Eye of Horus to assess the internal defenses.
Meanwhile, he circled the perimeter of the club.
Half an hour later, Arthur returned to the front door of the club and tried to enter.
However, two burly men intercepted him and demanded a membership card!
Arthur tried to negotiate, explaining that he hadn't applied for one yet, but could do so inside.
Their response was harsh, insisting on an internal referral for new members. If Arthur persisted, violence seemed imminent.
Leaving the front entrance, Arthur circled back to the back where a group was loitering, smoking, and drinking, armed with various weapons-even the smallest wielded baseball bats.
Two unarmed men didn't sit well with Arthur... In Lily's words, they exuded hostility!
Observing their shirts and waistlines suggested concealed firearms.
The club had three entrances, the last one being on the roof.
Arthur didn't feel like climbing up there. Having observed enough of the club's interior, he used the Eye of Horus to reach the roof.
With a wide view, a slight smile played on Arthur's lips as he thought of something.
...
...
Climbing from the second-story window to his bedroom, Arthur threw a hat and mask onto the bed.
This was bought on the way home, which is sure to come in handy later.
After all, when dealing with troublemakers like Randolph, force would be necessary.
It's important to hide oneself appropriately.
Arthur took a small notebook out of his pocket, sat down at the head of the bed, and began to sketch.
With the help of the Eye of Horus, the overall structure of the club was crystal clear. However, the internal situation was chaotic, with mobile defense forces - about four groups - stationed at the corners of the club.
These individuals usually just sat around drinking and smoking, but in case of trouble, they would rush to the scene at high speed.
The second floor was off-limits.
Burly men with guns guarded the doors; only a few "Advanced" members could enter.
The stories that unfolded here are hard to describe... well, they can be skipped!
As for the third floor, that was Arthur's target - Randolph's office!
However, Randolph wasn't in the club tonight, and understanding his movements required careful consideration...
The door on the club's roof led directly to Randolph's office level.
The door was probably locked, but that was no problem for Arthur.
After jotting down the key points in his notebook, the next focus of observation was Randolph.
When would this person show up at the club?
More precisely, on which nights would he appear?
It was easy to find out: grab a small-time thug, rough him up a bit, and he'd spill the beans faster than Arthur could!
But the downside was obvious - it could easily scare off the prey.
Arthur wanted to make a clean, quick kill, bag Randolph, and walk away.
Even if it took some time, he didn't want to alert his prey too soon.
"Looks like I'm going to need a little more time," Arthur muttered to himself, a slight smile curling his lips. "Fortunately, time is one thing I have in abundance right now."
...
...
The following days were unexpectedly quiet.
This peace exceeded Lily's expectations-even the small-time thugs who usually appeared every few days seemed to disappear without a trace.
But it was for the best. Lily also needed peace. In this quiet environment, Lily finished her artwork!
She excitedly showed it to Arthur.
After looking and thinking for a while, Arthur couldn't help but ask, "Where does this guy look better than me?"
"You shameless!!!" Lily glared at Arthur, then said, "Besides that? Can you see anything else?"
"Um..." Arthur thought for two seconds. "It's pretty good."
Lily looked at him with utter despair and sighed, "I shouldn't have expected you to appreciate aesthetics!"
Then she promptly kicked Arthur out; she had more work to do.
Accordingly, Arthur had his own follow-up work to do.
After so many days of observing, all the necessary preparations were complete. It was also time to pay the rent.

In this world, there are always places that are untouched by sunlight.
If the sun can't reach these places, the neon lights of the city can't illuminate them either.
In the darkness, someone was moving, navigating between buildings with quick, precise movements, climbing to the roof with bare hands.
In the moonlight, a black trench coat billowed in the wind, and under the black hat was a dark face... No, it was a mask!
Arthur removed the mask to catch his breath; he really disliked the feeling.
"It's suffocating."
He stretched his chest, loosened his limbs, and after a few jumps in place, Arthur took a deep breath, exhaling all the air completely, feeling rejuvenated.
Putting the mask back on, Arthur moved.
Like a black wind, he leaped nimbly between rooftops, feeling almost as if he had the powers of Spider-Man.
Truth be told, Arthur had noticed some interesting changes in his body during this time.
Back when he was active on the battlefield, he had the strength and speed he needed at that time.
However, his coordination and flexibility had been his weaknesses.
But now... he felt incredibly coordinated, and his every movement was fluid.
Things he couldn't do before were now easy.
"Have I been taking dance lessons during my seventy years of sleep?" Arthur thought as he landed on the roof of Randolph's club.
When he reached the edge of the roof, he glanced down twice, and when he saw that no one noticed him, he walked lightly to the roof door.
Pulling a wire from his Disassembler space, he crouched by the door and began to fiddle with it.
He had learned this trick in the army...
But he couldn't tell if his skills were outdated or rusty.
After three minutes of trying, the door still wouldn't open.
Arthur's face darkened.
Returning to the edge of the roof, he calculated his next move and sighed softly, "I didn't want to do this.
He dashed to the door and delivered a powerful kick!
With a loud crash, the metal door was knocked out of its frame!
Arthur dashed forward, halfway down the stairs, grabbed the railing and turned to the next set of stairs.
Facing the doorway, he saw that someone had opened it, clearly having heard the noise and come to investigate.
They locked eyes, and the guard was dazed, doubting that what he saw was a person.
These emergency stairs were unlit.
With Arthur dressed all in black, wearing a black hat and mask, and only his black eyes visible in the darkness, who would believe it was a person without a closer look?
The guard hesitated, but Arthur didn't.
In a flash, he was in front of the guard, who woke up and hurriedly drew his gun. But in the next second, the gun was snatched from his hand!
Before he could react or scream, his head hit the wall and he was instantly knocked out.
Arthur didn't waste any time. He had been using the Eye of Horus to study the situation inside for some time.
The entire floor consisted of only one room and one guard.
The room was Randolph's office, and the guard... well, the guard had already been knocked out.
However, footsteps could be heard from the stairwell, indicating that the guards from the floor below were on their way up.
With no time to waste, Arthur took two steps to the door and then... kicked it open!
"So violent!"
Arthur complained inwardly. His plan for the past few days had been quite meticulous.
Top priority had been to infiltrate silently, reach Randolph's office without making a sound, and deal with his guard and Randolph himself.
But to his dismay, when it came time to execute the plan, he couldn't unlock the roof door... He had initially thought that the door wouldn't be an obstacle.
It was a humiliating failure!
Shaking his head, Arthur entered the office.
The muscular Randolph, dressed in a suit, glared angrily at the door.
After two loud bangs, even an idiot would know someone had broken in.
He held a gun and taunted Arthur, "No matter who you are, you've come to the wrong place."
"Calm down, boy."
Arthur sighed, "You don't know how dangerous that toy in your hand is."
But Randolph had no intention of talking to Arthur. His finger moved to pull the trigger!
Having watched Randolph for some time now, Arthur instantly judged the trajectory of the shot and the timing to dodge. Just as Randolph raised his hand, Arthur lunged forward...
At that moment, a dormant force within Arthur suddenly surged and he felt the space around him twist slightly, accompanied by a subtle feeling of having crossed something!
He didn't know exactly what he had crossed over, but when he looked up, he found himself facing a wall!
"Fuck!"
Arthur was shocked!
Randolph's office was quite large, and he had been at least twenty feet from the wall. How could he suddenly be so close?
Without pausing to think, he stepped on the wall and used his momentum to run up it.
With a mid-air somersault, he landed perfectly behind Randolph.
Sensing that something was wrong, Randolph turned around almost at the same time as Arthur. Their eyes met and Randolph raised his gun to shoot... He didn't care how Arthur had gotten there. In fact, the more Arthur knew, the more dangerous he was.
Eliminating all threats was the only way to ensure his own survival!
The logic was sound, but Arthur didn't play by the rules.
Just as Randolph raised his hand to shoot, Arthur suddenly grabbed his wrist... and then Randolph disappeared!
"Amazing vanishing trick!"
Arthur, proud of himself, then ran to a corner where there was a safe, reached out, and the safe vanished too!
He had been eyeing that safe for days...
The footsteps were now at the door, but without looking back, Arthur ran to the office window, jumped through it, shattering the glass, and landed at the club entrance.
The two guards at the door stared at each other in shock. Was it raining people now?
