"Come on, let's shake hands!" Arthur held out his hand to the Abomination.
The Abomination's massive hand immediately reached out, and Arthur shook Abomination's fingers and nodded in satisfaction.
"My grandfather used to train dogs like that." Star-Lord looked up from his work and chimed in.
Arthur's mouth twitched as he thought - seriously, can't you just stay out of this?
He had been so focused that he had forgotten about this guy. Should he shut him up?
Arthur shot a dark look at Star-Lord, who met his gaze and grinned, "So, has this big guy been controlled?"
"Mm-hm."
Arthur nodded. "I used black magic to control it."
"Impressive. Are you a Sorcerer?" Star-Lord asked. "Did the previous spell involve space magic? Teleportation? And you also use weapons, so are you a weapon wielding Sorcerer?"
Arthur suddenly found the question difficult to answer. How did a weapon-wielding sorcerer come into the picture?
Seriously, a weapon-wielding sorcerer? Why not just say I'm a weapons expert?
And this guy, seeing what just happened, wasn't he worried at all?
"Aren't you worried that I might use that trick on you?" Arthur asked, looking at Star-Lord.
"Aren't we on the same team?" Star-Lord looked at Arthur in disbelief and blinked. "Hey, I'm still making equipment for you! And you think you can use that terrible black magic on me?"
"Isn't it normal to be worried about that?" Arthur blinked. "Did you never suspect I might use it on you?"
"Before you said that, I had no doubt at all!"
Star-Lord stared wide-eyed. "Hey, you can't be serious! We're Companions!"
Companions my ass!
You're not Luffy with a straw hat or some orange-haired punk with a big sword, slashing monsters everywhere. What's with all this companion stuff?
If you can make a marbled rice ball, then maybe I will consider what you said!
Arthur mentally tsukkomi-ed, finally sighing in defeat. "You really should be thanking Yondu for keeping you alive."
"Huh?"
Star-Lord looked at Arthur in confusion.
"This is a long job. It requires extreme precision!"
Star-Lord looked at his work and said. "It will take at least three days."
Giving up on the idea of silencing him, Arthur got up to put the Abomination away and said to Star-Lord, "I'll leave you to it and wait for you to finish."
"Don't you want to stay here and chat? To be honest, I'm kind of curious about Earth now."
Star-Lord said, "It's been over twenty years since I left home. What's Earth like now? Do people use teleportation to get to work, and do they leave their luggage... um, somewhere? And is there still a survival crisis, with giant monsters like the one you unleashed? Do they roam outside human cities with big sticks, roaring and threatening our survival space?"
Arthur suddenly felt that the reason this guy could accept his control over the Abomination so calmly was because he didn't even see the Abomination as a person!
After thinking for a moment, Arthur said seriously, "It's a shame you're wasting your time here making masks. You should be writing novels..."
"Hey, have you looked at my diary? Let me tell you, 'Peter Quill's Cosmic Adventure' is my creation!"
Arthur, who was climbing out, almost fell when he heard this. With a black face and a look of resignation, he went back into Star-Lord's room and covered the entrance.

...
...
Over the next few days, Arthur gradually adjusted to the routine aboard the spaceship.
The ship had no real rules. When they weren't doing anything, the crew got together to drink and talk. If they drank too much, they'd want to fight, and when they got tired of fighting, they'd just find a place to crash and sleep.
As the newcomer, Arthur was the center of attention at first. Despite Yondu's high regard for him, not everyone in the crew was impressed.
At first, whenever Arthur came out, the crew eagerly tried to get him drunk.
The drink was of a peculiar taste and was extremely potent, with a horrible flavor.
However, Arthur had a special constitution, so alcohol had no real effect on him.
When they realized that alcohol wouldn't do the trick, they decided to use their fists...
It was hard to describe how pathetic it was. With his steel-like strength, Arthur caused the entire ship's crew to flee in terror.
This was also a great opportunity for Arthur. Since he had acquired so many skill books and crystal fragments in the modern society, he hadn't really fought anyone.
Since the battle with the lizard, he hadn't even fought a small-time thug. He was never quite sure of his own strength.
Beating the entire crew into submission gave Arthur a rough understanding of his own abilities.
And then he began to enjoy this new activity.
As the Raiders became less "enthusiastic," Arthur became more excited.
He would often seek out people to drink with and, after drinking, look for a fight. He would not stop until he had beaten up a few.
Eventually, the crew decided to stop drinking with Arthur, which made him even happier. He used the excuse, "You're disrespecting me by not drinking," to give them a taste of his righteous Iron Fist!
Yondu turned a blind eye to all of this; as long as no one got killed, he didn't care.
In fact, during the long voyage, drinking and fighting helped the crew release their pent-up energy. Holding it in could lead to trouble.
Of course, Arthur didn't seek out fights every day.
Late at night, he would go to the storehouse to find items to dismantle.
This place was definitely a treasure trove. Although at first glance it was filled with broken weapons and such, what was hidden inside was far more interesting.
For example, Arthur found a stone with writing he couldn't make out.
When he picked it up, the Disassembler immediately displayed a prompt:
[Disassemble mysterious item (Purple)?]
Arthur didn't disassemble it at that moment but stored it in the Disassembler space, planning to sort through it later. He wanted to make sure he hadn't missed any treasures in the warehouse before doing a full disassembly.
The reason for this was to avoid accelerating the accumulation of Disassembler experience too quickly.
If he ended up disassembling something not-so-good and missed out on valuable items, and the Disassembler leveled up... that would be quite embarrassing.
Three days later, Star-Lord, who had barely emerged from his workshop, came to find Arthur, looking exhausted with dark circles under his eyes. "Here, take this!"
He handed Arthur a small device resembling a headset.
Arthur took it and asked, puzzled, "What about my mask?"
---
**End of Chapter**
"Put this on."
Peter Quill (Star-Lord) said, "It has a fingerprint scanner. Use your most comfortable finger and hold it down for three seconds."
Arthur followed the instructions and after three seconds, a cold, electronic voice rang in his ear: "Fingerprint Capture successful!"
The next moment, a jet-black mask materialized on Arthur's face out of nowhere.
"The design of your mask is very... impressive!"
Peter Quill (Star-Lord) said after Arthur successfully put on the mask, "Really, it's quite impressive, though it's slightly inferior to mine. The overall modifications are minimal. I just replaced the original AI system. The fingerprint Capture is unique to this one-time scan. Only your specific fingerprint can activate it. The first scan takes three seconds, but subsequent scans will be instantaneous!"
"Besides that, I've added a breathing filter system and a micro-life support device. These will allow you to survive in a vacuum or oxygen-free environment for at least two hours. It will temporarily isolate you from the vacuum of space. However, since there are time limits, if you can't get back to the ship or to a habitable environment within that time, you will still die."
Arthur tested it and activated two features Tony had installed earlier. After confirming that everything was working fine, he nodded in satisfaction and said, "Not bad."
"Hey, buddy! Don't be too demanding. I thought you'd be more excited!" Peter Quill (Star-Lord) said with a frown.
Arthur tapped the activator on the mask and it retracted into the small device that looked like a headset.
He stored it in the Disassembler space, then said to Peter Quill (Star-Lord) with a straight face, "I'm very happy."
"I am not buying it!"
Peter Quill (Star-Lord) yawned and said, "I haven't slept in three days just to get this 'little gadget' ready. Now I have to sleep for three days. When I wake up, we can get started."
Arthur gently pinched the bridge of his nose and nodded, "Get some rest.
After sending Peter Quill (Star-Lord) off, Arthur took the 'Mask' back out from the Disassembler Space, hung it on his ear, and tapped it lightly.
He then looked in the mirror: "It looks pretty good. And the main key point is, I look great!"
Ignoring the relevance of the mask's appearance to his own face, Arthur admired himself for a moment before contentedly taking off the mask.
He then reviewed the Disassembler Space and chose the Asgardian military armor for disassembly.
Yondu's warehouse had been nearly cleaned out, and among the items Arthur had found, the highest level ones were purple, totaling nine items.
There were five sets of Asgardian military armor, a stone slab with arcane inscriptions, and three seemingly insignificant fragments of crystals.
The sound of gears grinding began again and Arthur let out a breath before he rubbed his forehead, and took out the 'headset' to fiddle with.
Disassembling the Asgardian armor took longer than expected.
After about seven minutes, the Disassembler emitted a hissing sound.
[Disassembling equipment succeeded!]
[Beginner Asgard Military Combat Technique *17]
[Beginner Steel Skin *12]
[Faint Golden Ancient Battle Soul]
[Colorless Small Crystals *31]
[Disassembler experience +5]
[Disassemble complete. Would you like to extract everything at once?]
"Extract!"
Arthur extracted the items and examined each one.
The purple armor yielded more rewards than he had anticipated.
Arthur was especially surprised by the number of colorless small crystals he received!
"A total of Thirty-one pieces!"
Arthur stroked his chin and then picked up a Beginner Asgard Military Combat Technique book to absorb.
In the next moment, a series of combat movements appeared in Arthur's mind, becoming second nature to his body.
Arthur was quite surprised to find that the Asgard Military Combat Technique included not only hand-to-hand combat but also many weapon applications, with cold weapons being the majority.
After absorbing all seventeen Beginner Asgard Military Combat Technique books, Arthur then absorbed the twelve Beginner Steel Skin books.
Despite having absorbed 68 of these books, he still hadn't reached the Intermediate level.
"Will the Advanced level of this allow me to become indestructible like Diamond?"
Arthur speculated, then smirked.
The number of Beginner Steel Skin books was even fewer than what he got by Disassembling the Mark I Armor, but there were more colorless small crystals.
Both of them were purple-level equipment, but did the difference in their focus affect the yield?
Arthur pondered briefly and then picked up the faint golden ancient Battle Soul.
He exhaled softly and absorbed it!
In the next moment, Arthur was enveloped by a warm force. At first, it felt like warm water rushing all over his body, but it gradually became scalding hot! Just as Arthur was about to reach his limit, all sensations suddenly vanished.
Arthur touched his forehead and found that he was not sweating. "So, it was all an illusion?"
He clenched his fists; his strength had increased significantly. Although it wasn't as much as what Hulk's pants provided, it was far better than what he got from Disassembling the Mark I Armor.
"Even though they are all Battle Souls and enhance overall physical attributes, do they still have different focuses?"
Arthur had a vague realization. After some movement, he couldn't tell if it was just his imagination, but he felt his muscles might have become a bit firmer.
Without dwelling too much on it, Arthur continued to Disassemble the remaining armor while absorbing the colorless small crystals.
The five sets of armor provided Arthur with 171 Colorless Small Crystals, 76 Beginner Asgard Military Combat Technique books, 57 Beginner Steel Skin books, and 5 faint Golden Ancient Battle Souls... and 25 Disassembler experience points!
The 25 experience points were especially painful for Arthur.
The better the equipment, the more experience gained from Disassembling it, which would make the Disassembler level up faster.
Frankly, it was inhumane for an upgrade to take six months.
While others' golden fingers might upgrade in a day or two, why did his take so long?
Arthur sighed as he absorbed the small crystals and he felt that the colorless energy inside his body was increasing, and it was as if every cell was pulsating with this energy.
He vaguely felt that there might be a limit to how many colorless small crystals he could absorb.
But for now, he didn't know where the limit would be...
And what kind of changes would occur upon reaching that limit?
The end, from another perspective, is also the beginning.
Arthur felt no fear, only a mild sense of anticipation.
