It turned out that one knows oneself the best. Even though the Tony Stark in the video pretended not to know Maya Hansen, he had actually recognized her.

"Yes, it's Maya Hansen," Pepper Potts' voice drifted down from upstairs as Tony Stark emerged from his armor. "She's a botanist friend. We've met before, but we're not that close."

After saying this, Tony Stark pulled Maya Hansen to the side and whispered, "Please don't tell me there's a 12-year-old kid I've never seen waiting in the car."

"He's 13 now," Maya Hansen replied, "But that's not why I'm here. I need your help with something urgent."

"Why now? What can I do to help?" Tony Stark asked.

"Because I read the newspaper, and honestly, I don't think you'll last the week," Maya Hansen said.

At this point, the video seemed to pause, freezing on that scene.

Then, lines of text started appearing.

[Can Tony Stark last the week?]

[A: Yes]

[B: No]

[Correct answer rewards five years of life. Incorrect answer deducts one year.]

"The third question?" Bruce Banner noticed the difference in phrasing. "This question seems to have more than one part?"

"It looks that way," Steve Rogers said.

"Both offer life rewards, but Captain America's question gives ten years, while Stark's gives only five," T'Challa speculated. "Could it be that this third question has two parts?"

"Who knows, maybe there are even three or four questions. The quiz space never specified that life rewards must be the same for two questions," Tony Stark said.

"This question offers great value," James Rhodes remarked. "If you answer a few questions correctly, you'll earn back all the life you lost from previous mistakes and still have some left to spare for future questions."

"Also, this question seems quite simple," Bruce Banner said. "Tony is Iron Man, and no matter who the opponent is, he should be able to last a week, right?"

"Doctor Banner, you're underestimating me," Tony Stark replied. "What do you mean by 'he should be able to last a week'? Are you assuming I'll lose? As far as I'm concerned, I won't lose. The question should be about how long they can last."

"Based on the previous storyline, Tony's opponent this time should be that 'Mandarin,'" Steve Rogers said. "Does anyone know anything about this person?"

"When it comes to him, I have a long and complicated history," Tony Stark's eyes flashed with an untraceable chill.

"Yes, although we've never met, I owe becoming Iron Man to that Mandarin," James Rhodes added.

"You've had dealings with him?" Bruce Banner asked.

"Remember how I became Iron Man?" Tony Stark said.

"You were kidnapped by terrorists and taken to the desert. In order to escape, you secretly built the Mark I armor," Bruce Banner recalled. Then he realized, "Those people who kidnapped you were the Mandarin's men?"

"They belong to a notorious terrorist organization called the Ten Rings, and the Mandarin is their leader," Tony Stark said coldly. "I haven't settled the score with them yet, and now they dare to come after me?"

"Stay calm, Tony. Perhaps the plot in the video is that you go after them first, and they counterattack," James Rhodes said.

"That's not important. I just want to know why a mere terrorist organization makes that woman believe that even Iron Man can't handle them," Steve Rogers pondered. "What kind of cards do they have up their sleeves?"

"I don't know what tricks they have in the future, but my answer won't change. There's nothing I can't handle for at least a week, and I'll be the one to emerge victorious," Tony Stark said confidently. "I choose A: Yes."

[Correct answer, reward granted.]

After announcing the quiz result, the paused video resumed.

"I'm fine," Tony Stark replied to Maya Hansen when she said he wouldn't last a week.

"Sorry, Happy is in the hospital," Pepper Potts walked down the stairs, "I didn't expect to have guests."

"It's not a guest," Tony Stark said.

"Then it's a lover," Pepper Potts revealed the truth with a single statement.

"It's not," Tony Stark denied.

"No," Maya Hansen also denied, "It was just a one-night stand."

"Yes," Tony Stark applauded Maya Hansen's accurate and concise description.

"One of your many conquests, right?" Pepper Potts said sarcastically.

"Indeed, and I'm proud of it," Tony Stark admitted directly.

"Good thing you didn't jump into the fire pit," Pepper Potts said to Maya Hansen.

"What?" Tony Stark asked in response.

"Trust me," Pepper Potts said to Maya Hansen, then turned to Tony Stark, "We're leaving now."

"That's not happening," Tony Stark said.

"It is," Pepper Potts insisted.

"I said it's not happening," Tony Stark repeated.

"We're leaving right now, no discussion," Pepper Potts' attitude was firm.

From the subtle atmosphere between the two and Pepper Potts' gesture of throwing luggage from upstairs, it was apparent that they had some small disagreement and were having an argument.

The following plot indeed unfolded as such. Tony Stark and Pepper Potts started arguing in front of Maya Hansen.

Of course, the gift Tony Stark gave Pepper Potts was quite extravagant.

While the two were arguing, Maya Hansen looked around and saw a terrifying scene on the monitor. She couldn't help but point and say, "Stop arguing! Shouldn't we be concerned about that?"

Tony Stark turned his head and saw on the big screen a missile with a long tail heading towards them.

Boom!

In the next moment, the missile hit the mansion, and the explosion's shockwave sent Tony Stark and Pepper Potts flying.

Tony Stark reacted quickly, even in mid-air, he pointed towards Pepper Potts with a strange gesture.

Just as everyone was wondering why Tony Stark would make such a gesture at that moment, they saw armor components flying from the dust and debris, landing on Pepper Potts. With a series of clanking sounds, the armor transformed and expanded, and in the blink of an eye, a set of armor was complete on Pepper Potts.

Boom! Pepper Potts landed on the ground in her newly-equipped armor.

"But in this life-and-death situation, you didn't wear the armor for yourself, but for Pepper," James Rhodes couldn't help but say. "It's evident that you truly love her."

"Isn't that obvious?" Tony Stark replied. "She's a perfect girl; who wouldn't love her?"

"I never expected this," Thor also said. "Tony, you're usually so full of hot air, but at a critical moment, you chose to protect someone else."

"Thor, that's a bit heartbreaking," James Rhodes said. "During the Battle of New York, Tony withstood a nuclear missile. You answered questions together; you must know about that, right? As a superhero who could endure a nuclear missile to save New York, it's only natural for him to protect his woman in the face of danger."

"Sorry. Although I wasn't there for that quiz, we share information after the quiz, so I know about it," Thor shrugged. "It's just that this guy's mouth is so bad that when I look at him, I forget about his future heroic deeds of withstanding nuclear missiles."

With Thor's remark, the rest of the quiz participants nodded in agreement. Yes, as a superhero, Tony Stark was qualified, but his mouth was really foul, to the point where one might doubt whether he was truly a hero.

The video continued playing, and Tony Stark, who had just remotely equipped the armor for Pepper Potts, landed on the ground.

Without the protection of the armor, he looked quite disheveled.

Tony Stark turned his head and saw Maya Hansen lying motionless in a corner, not knowing whether she was alive or dead.

Crack! Suddenly, cracks appeared on the ceiling, and then the entire ceiling collapsed. Tony Stark managed to sit up, but there was no time to dodge.

At that critical moment, a steel figure rushed over and stood in front of Tony Stark, shielding him from the falling debris.

"I protected you," the faceplate of the armor opened, and Pepper Potts looked at Tony Stark.

"It was me who protected you first," Tony Stark stood up from the ground. "Looks like we need to get out of here."

Boom! Boom! Boom! Three helicopters flew over the sea, and one of the guys wearing sunglasses was even chewing gum, appearing casual.

"Ah-ha, you showed up!" Tony Stark clapped his hands. "I hope they won't ask me why when they capture that guy, as I'll have to explain that he'll kill me in the future, and someone who hasn't been to the quiz space won't believe me, making it pointless to say anything."

Whoosh! The helicopters fired missiles again, not just one, but several.

It seemed like the person who attacked was determined to kill Tony Stark.

Originally, Tony Stark and Pepper Potts were together, but the explosion's shockwave separated them.

"Go! I'll follow you!" Tony Stark turned around and shouted to Pepper Potts.

Then he ran out from behind the sofa, intending to meet up with her.

However, the ground beneath him cracked, forming a huge fissure between Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, separating them.

Pepper Potts turned back to look at Tony Stark, but he quickly said, "Go save her, I'll find a way around."

Pepper Potts wanted to save Tony Stark first, but he insisted, "Don't stop! Take her with you!" Tony Stark yelled loudly, "Hurry!"

Pepper Potts turned and left to rescue Maya Hansen. She helped her up and fired a repulsor blast behind them, using the recoil to push herself and Maya Hansen out.

Boom! Boom! Boom! At that moment, several missiles hit the villa, and the mansion began to collapse on a large scale.

"Oh, my God!" Outside the villa, Pepper Potts' face changed drastically as she yelled inside, "Tony!"

After being hit by several missiles in succession, the villa was unable to maintain its original structure. The ground was tilted, and Tony Stark slid to one side. He struggled to stabilize himself by holding onto a steel pipe.

"SIR, Miss Potts is safe," Jarvis' voice rang out when Tony Stark was catching his breath.

Upon hearing this, Tony Stark made another strange gesture. He held his hands together and pointed outward, then patted his chest.

Outside the villa, pieces of armor on Pepper Potts began to detach one by one and flew towards Tony Stark inside the villa.

Bang! Bang! Bang! The helicopters started firing their large-caliber machine guns, and a barrage of bullets rained down.

Tony Stark couldn't afford to stand up; he could only crawl with difficulty inside the villa.

An unforgettable scene unfolded. With every step he crawled, armor pieces flew over to him and attached, transforming and fitting onto his body. Amid the hail of bullets, Tony Stark donned his armor.

When he finally stood up, a magnificent Iron Man was reborn.

"Stark, the way you equipped that armor is even more advanced than how you did it during the Battle of New York," Steve Rogers couldn't help but say.

"And very cool," James Rhodes said. "If I were a girl, I would be fascinated."

"What copycat, it's called drawing inspiration," Tony Stark corrected. "Can't a scholar be accused of copying?"

"Isn't that the same thing?" Thor said.

"The version of me in the video from that parallel timeline certainly didn't borrow from you; they don't have an answer space and never saw the scene where you were in danger," Tony Stark said. "As for me, I did indeed see your situation in that scene, which inspired me to come up with this way of suiting up. But I haven't completed it yet."

"This kind of suit greatly enhances flexibility and isn't limited by the environment or distance, making it adaptable to almost any crisis," Bruce Banner praised the outfit. "Stark, you really are talented."

Boom! Boom! The video showed the bombardment of the mansion continuing.

However, from this moment, the situation changed.

Because Tony Stark was now wearing the armor.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., what about the flight power?" Tony Stark called out.

"I'm trying, but this is just an engineering prototype," J.A.R.V.I.S. replied.

The relieved group of people, who had thought that Tony would turn the tide once he put on the armor, were on edge again. They didn't fully understand what functionality was cut from the engineering prototype compared to the fully equipped armor, but the inability to fly was a significant drawback.

Tony Stark was far from being defenseless, even without flight capability or weapon systems. Amidst the enemy's intense barrage, he extended both palms and fired a repulsor at a piece of debris. The debris soared into the air and crashed into one of the helicopters, causing it to plunge into the sea.

"The first one," Tony Stark stood up and looked up at the remaining helicopter on top of the mansion.

"Sir, it is currently not fit for combat," J.A.R.V.I.S. reminded.

Bang! Bang! The sky was torn apart by machine gun fire, which intensified.

Tony Stark, wearing the armor, frantically tried to escape inside the heavily damaged mansion.

In a corner, he forcibly dismantled one arm of the suit and took out a cylindrical object, presumably some kind of projectile designed to be launched. Tony hurled it at the helicopter and fired a repulsor blast.

Boom! The helicopter was destroyed in a sea of fire.

"The second one," Tony Stark smiled. But his smile faded as the helicopter descended toward him!

Tony Stark ran, and the helicopter crashed behind him, causing an explosion that knocked him into a large hole in the debris.

Due to the fact that Tony Stark had a lavish mansion built right next to the sea, once he fell into the ruins, if he couldn't climb back up, he would end up submerged in the ocean.

Boom! Boom! More shells came in. One of them ignited the other armors inside the mansion, causing them to explode.

The mansion, which was already severely damaged, was completely obliterated by the explosions.

Wearing the armor, Tony Stark, along with the mansion, fell into the sea.

At this point, the video paused, and text appeared.

[Did Tony Stark, Iron Man, die?]

[A Yes, he died.]

[B No, he survived.]

[Answer this question correctly to gain five years of lifespan. Answer incorrectly, and one year will be deducted from your lifespan.]

"I have to say, this battle was much more intense than I imagined," Sam Wilson said. "I thought Tony Stark would easily deal with a terrorist organization, but I never expected them to flatten his home like that."

"It's not that Iron Man couldn't handle it; it's because he wasn't wearing a fully equipped suit, so he couldn't utilize Iron Man's full capabilities," James Rhodes said. "If Tony had been in a combat-ready suit, taking down these helicopters would have been a piece of cake."

"Tony, can your armor operate underwater?" Steve Rogers asked.

"I didn't consider the possibility of needing to go underwater, so I didn't add that feature. The current suit can't do it," Tony Stark replied. "But in the video, the version of me from the parallel timeline had a much more advanced suit, and I'm not sure if that one could operate underwater."

"Considering how well you know yourself, do you think you'll add that feature in the future?" Steve Rogers inquired.

"Yes," Tony Stark pondered before answering.

"In that case, let's assume that suit is capable of underwater operation," Steve Rogers said with a serious tone. "In that scenario, the probability of Stark's death would be significantly lower."

"I wonder why Mandarin would attack Stark's home directly without any warning," Bruce Banner chimed in. "They mobilized such heavy firepower without any forewarning. They must be very certain that the mansion belongs to Stark."

"I'm not exactly hiding my identity; everyone in the United States knows me," Tony Stark shrugged it off. "It's not surprising for a terrorist organization to find out my exact address."

"Yeah, that's not unusual. But there's something odd about this," Bruce Banner said. "Why did Maya Hansen go to your house and tell you that you won't last a week?"

"She came to me for help," Tony Stark replied. "Something she wanted me to assist with."

"But she also said that you won't last a week," Bruce Banner continued. "This implies that she knew about Mandarin targeting you, and when you met her, you made her stand still and asked if she was Mandarin, indicating that you knew Mandarin was after you."

"Maya Hansen also said she read the newspaper and thought you wouldn't last a week," Steve Rogers added. "Was it announced in the newspaper that Mandarin was going to target you?"

"Would Mandarin announce their plan to kill Stark in a letter before doing it, or send a letter to the police saying they were going to kill someone on a specific day?" Sam Wilson said. "I've only seen such crazy things in movies, and now they exist in reality?"
