As Grim walked behind the boy, he couldn't help but ponder. He saw a lot of similarities between him and this child' Looks like he replaced me with another...'
"So what's your story..no don't tell me, let me try to guess, orphaned kid, abandoned by his parents then adopted by the big boss as his eyes, ears and teeth..."
"..."
"No...mhh, then perhaps your his stepchild of a woman he killed for betraying him." He commented trying to get some sort of reaction...anything, but no he was still cold-faced.
"Still haven't hit the nail on the coffin huh"
"..."
'Note to self, puns just aren't you're thing, Grim.'
"Maybe...no would he go that far...well, we are talking about that psycho mob boss here...
How about this then...you were just a normal village boy, frolicking in the fields, playing in streams and forests in your hometown town when suddenly unknown bandits attacked...the devastation came out of nowhere.
You were only small, and you didn't know what was going on, but your family did, they knew all too well...and they hid you away, hid you away in a place they hoped, no prayed where you wouldn't be found.
And then, just then as those men broke through your house door, and grabbed your family...perhaps your mother...no Father...wrong again...what about a sis..."
Click
The boy looked back at him and pointed a gun at Grim's chest. He saw the rage in the boy's eyes, the anger...the venom.
Grim smiled and looked down at the boy.
"Sister it is..I see it's a touchy subject. You hate him don't you, you hate him with every fibre of your being, you hate him so much that no matter how you think about it you can never imagine a satisfying way to kill him...
"..."
"Maybe rip him to shreds with your bare hands, or perhaps cut his body into a million pieces and feed him to the dogs where they shit him out...that one was a personal contender for me."
"Or perhaps, boil him alive in sugar and watch as he suffocates and has his skin peeled layer by layer..."
The boy was silent but Grim could see he had hit the nail on the head.
"Yeah, probably all that or even more...and right now you're leading me to that very man, it must eat you alive knowing the arrogance that he has, the balls to know that I was going to break in and save Cheng, but let me do it anyway."
The boy's body shook, but then his hand slowly came back down and he tucked away the gun before going back to his aloof personality.
"Hey kid, how about we make a deal...in exchange, I'll give you the opportunity to kill him."
"..."
At those words, the boy stopped and stared back at Grim with wary but dare he say hopeful eyes.
But that might of been just his imagination.
The boy narrowed his eyes before opening his mouth for the first time. It was deeper than Grim expected, horse-like a scratchy record player, but it wasn't unpleasant.
"What...deal...do you...propose." He took a pause every few words like he wasn't used to speaking so much.
Which to Grim wasn't very surprising, after all, that was one of the first things drilled into The boss's slaves, or property.
"Looks like I've got your attention..."
...
The Boss was a man that's had many names over his life, some called him brother, others the devil incarnate...he however, didn't care for any of those superficial titles.
After all, he was God's chosen, he was smarter, stronger and better than those around him since a young age.. but despite his profession, his origin wasn't that special.
He came from a well off family, both parents in the picture with two brothers and sisters.
But he always felt like he was destined for more, for something greater, nothing in life challenged him to achieve that...so, he decided to create that path himself.
He abandoned his name, abandoned his family and everything he had to start his own empire.
It was tough at first, but over time after going beyond what any human would deem humane, after committing acts that would make ninety percent of the population hurl their lunches, after committing crimes irredeemable...he was finally at the cusp of metamorphosis.
And it all had to do with the ancient-looking sword on his lap. He sat on his golden throne, legs crossed, his cheek resting on his palm looking like some final boss.
In the well-decorated room, over 30 men with sub-machine guns and other types of weapons were high up in the spectator's stand.
Their weapons were aimed at the door just in front...waiting for the intruder.
The boss just sat there, eyes closed as his hand traced the intricate patterns of the blade scabbard, it tells the story of the weapon's origin, and it is also the reason that he thinks so highly of himself.
Because only those acknowledged by the blade can call themselves truly special.
'Soon..soon I'll conquer Manhattan, then the whole of New York, then..the rest of the world, the people will know my strength, the heroes will fear me, and the villains will bend their knees to me.
"And all I need...is a sacrifice." He spoke softly to himself as he felt the blade vibrate. He smiled before he finally heard some footsteps approaching from the other side of the hall.'
"He's finally here..."
The footsteps came closer and closer, and as they got closer you could distinctively hear two pairs of feet shiffling on the marble floor.
One lighter than the other.
The men above, hearing those steps gulped and aimed their guns at the door, they were only there for assurance, nothing more.
If the boss told them not to shoot they wouldn't, if he did, they would rain hellfire on Grim's immortal ass.
They were aware of Grim's powers as they were informed beforehand, but it wasn't his powers that made them nervous, it was more so his reputation.
After all, he was the most mysterious character in the whole organisation after the boss.
Well, he used to be, but if what the stories of him were to be true...if their boss didn't have a way to permanently kill this boy.
Then they were already dead men walking...
Tap...Tap...Tap...
Suddenly the footsteps stopped right in front of the gigantic double doors, that were decorated with paintings of the four guardians ' beasts in mythology.
Not even a pin drop could be heard in the room.

CRACK...WAOOOOSH!!!
BANG!!!!
The silence was followed by the cracking of the wood... then an Axe making a hole in the door and flying rapidly at the boss.
The Axe was too fast for any of the men to actually react, but the boss just smirked and tilted his head to the right.
The Axe embedded itself into the chair and the handle splintered, cutting the boss's face a little.
"..."
All the men finally reacted to what had just happened and couldn't believe it.
Bang!!!
The doors were then kicked open and a boy no older than eighteen walked in.
There was no tension or hesitation. He looked around the room and glanced at the men up top who for unknown reasons couldn't meet his gaze.
He then looked at the man sitting on the chair cockilly, like everything that had happened was all part of his plan or something.
And it ticked Grim off...and so for the first time, everyone heard him speak.
"Sorry about the mess, I would have rung but you didn't have a doorbell."
"..."
"Well, enough with pleasantries, I came here to di..."
"I mean kick ass or whatever...so let's get this over and done with...yeah.
Please do tell me if there are any spelling mistakes, I had to rush this chapter.
