Space!
Intersecting Space! Interactive space! A realm without time that was filled only with ever-spinning space! And with it came dizziness, an ever-present, constant dizziness!
"Aaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!"
With a gasp, Arthur suddenly opened his eyes.
The whole world was spinning in front of his eyes, and it was spinning at an unbelievable speed.
However, this spinning was gradually slowing down, steadily stabilizing.
The surroundings began to be captured by his eyes and transmitted to his brain…
"Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?"
Shaking his head, Arthur nearly vomited as he felt the room spin again.
He quickly covered his face with his hands, trying to steady his head and stop it from shaking.
"You think you're a flower or something?"
A slightly arrogant voice came from not far away.
Following the voice, he saw an Asian girl, probably around eighteen or nineteen years old, with a single ponytail, cross her arms and stare at him.
"Hands on your face, are you planning a magic trick?"
The girl rolled her eyes and said, "It's good you're awake. If you're okay, then hurry up and leave."
"Huh?"
Arthur felt his brain short-circuit for a moment.
As the dizziness subsided, his memory began to return.
A second ago… he seemed to be in the Valkyrie, playing Rasengan and Chidori with the 'Red Skull', and the next moment he found himself here?
A clean but somewhat empty room.
With an arrogant-looking… yellow-skinned, black-eyed girl.
What was going on?
"Don't pretend you don't understand me. I know all about you. Let me tell you, even though we're from the same country, there's only so much I can do to help you. If you're an illegal immigrant and you want to stay here, don't mess with these people. Do you think it is fun to be thrown into a garbage can? If it wasn't for the fact that I made a wish last night and got distracted by a blue fireball, I wouldn't have gone to that alley in the middle of the night, let alone find you in a trash can."
Without giving Arthur a chance to speak, the girl explained at machine-gun speed how she found him.
"Trash can? Me?"
Arthur was speechless when he heard the girl. Found in a trash can? Was this karma for always throwing others into trash cans?
The girl, clearly impatient, turned and said, "Wait here!"
Arthur was stunned. Wait for what?
After the girl left, Arthur breathed out a sigh of relief.
He needed some time to calm down and remember what had happened.
And most importantly… even though he had just woken up, he knew at first glance… this was not the style of the WWII era!
Scenes from the Valkyrie replayed in his mind: the activated Tesseract, the impending teleportation crisis, and in desperation, he activated the Disassembler in an attempt to forcibly disassemble the Tesseract.
But the Disassembler, that cowardly tool, failed instantly, immediately informing him that the disassembly was unsuccessful.
### And… an unknown error occurred!?
"Right… but what happened after that?"
Arthur thought of the Star-Spangled Man with a Plan and the words he hadn't finished saying.
Immediately, it was as if he had fallen into a bizarre world!
Endlessly changing rooms, wandering aimlessly, his mind almost frozen!
And when he woke up again… he really did seem to be in a garbage can.
But his memory after that was blank. How he got to this room, who this girl was… he could not remember any of it.
Arthur gently patted his head. The severe dizziness was gone. He silently called the Disassembler.
Immediately, the Disassembler appeared.
"Well, it's not broken," Arthur muttered, noticing that it looked the same as always. It hadn't been upgraded despite the massive ordeal.
He took a look at the Disassembler space, and his eyes widened.
"What the hell?"
The Disassembler space, which had been quite small, barely fitting three hundred different weapons and his equipment, was now several times larger – about the size of a basketball court.
Now, not just three hundred, but probably three thousand weapons could fit in there.
"Did the Disassembler absorb some of the Tesseract's power? As a result, it expanded the Disassembler space?"
Without proof, Arthur could only speculate.
But he figured that guess was probably close to the truth.
There were hardly any weapons left in the Disassembler space, but there were other items.
Among them, a pistol glowing with a faint blue light caught Arthur's eye.
He had taken it from Schmidt.
Based on Arthur's long experience with the Disassembler, this weapon… would probably yield some good!
Just as he had this thought, footsteps approached and the door opened.
The girl entered, carrying a bowl of noodles. "These are handmade noodles. In America, even the food in Chinatown restaurants loses the taste of home. If you want to eat something good, you have to make it yourself. I bet you haven't had this for a long time, right? Anyway, no need to say anything, just eat up and leave when you're done."
She handed him a bowl of egg noodles, garnished with scallions and a fried egg, which gave off an aroma that made Arthur's mouth water.
God knew how long it had been since he had eaten anything like this.
During the war, he had eaten only canned food, and a rare steak was a luxury.
The taste of home… was something he had truly missed.
Without hesitation, Arthur took the bowl and began to eat. In a few quick bites, half the bowl was gone.
The girl stared at him in amazement. "What a glutton! How can you eat so much?"
Arthur felt a little embarrassed. Just as he was about to say something, the girl muttered to herself, "Looks like one bowl wasn't enough…wait here."
Seeing her rush out again, Arthur couldn't help but smile.
The two of them hadn't had a real conversation since they woke up. The girl was always rushing around, and Arthur still didn't know the name of this seemingly cold but genuinely kind-hearted girl.
