Capítulo 14: Elf & Spook

Roseline's POV

As his hand reached up, his knuckles tenderly grazing my cheek, a surge of discomfort washed over me. His intense gaze fixated on my lips, left no room for doubt about his intentions. The air became charged with an unsettling tension, as I found myself confronted with a moment that demanded quick action from my side.

Going with my impulse just as his lips were about to meet mine, I forcefully pushed him back and delivered a well-aimed kick that sent him sprawling to the floor.

Laughter bubbled up within me, and no matter how hard I tried to stifle it, I couldn't control the mirth. Even the anticipation of the consequences couldn't suppress my amusement. The room echoed with my laughter, and when I finally managed to calm down a bit, I expected an outburst of anger from him. But, as I glanced down, I saw him staring at me in sheer awe, his voice held captive by astonishment.

I blinked and immediately ceased laughing.
