VINCENZO'S POV

I woke up with a hazy memory, barely remembering the previous day's events. Maybe it had something to do with the tequila I had taken after Maria made me exert all that energy punishing her. 

Maria? 

That seemed to trigger my memory as it all came back. Maria came down from the car looking like a movie star straight from Hollywood. Maria in the short maid outfit, which was made to humiliate her but ended up making me hot and bothered. Maria was a maid in my house, and today would be a damn good day.

I quickly placed a call to Matteo, who picked up immediately after the first ring.

"I'm guessing you're not coming to the office today," he said immediately.

"Why does this feel like an attack?" I asked, rubbing my banging head. Scratch what I earlier thought. This headache was about to make my day unbearable.
