"Ahhhh," Alexandra yawned and stretched in her chair, her book hanging on the armrest.
"These results are astounding," 2nd Major General Glycia said, looking at the report before him, neither are in their uniform nor are both relaxing at the Glycia estate.
"137 out of 488 were cut off from the training and returned to their original units. I deem those as failures, but I accept that the re-education training itself was meant to break down Mage.
"By the way, I heard things are becoming pretty hostile in 'Rio,' do they plan to start a war. At the same time, the 'Gate' remains a threat.
Rio is an immense country with a population. A large mountain Borders the two countries and keep them separated. The government is mainly covered in wastelands and has a humid climate. Their economy is reliant on the recourses found in the mountains.
Emperor Philoxenus Iulius Rogelius developed a treaty of sorts, giving the mountains an unlimited amount of recourses to the country. In exchange, Britannia is giving priority to acquire at a low but reasonable price.
It is a well-thought-out plan, and an act of Kindness on the Emperor is a treaty made to benefit both countries. Establishing friendly relationships without war, supporting another country through famine, drought, and disease.
But, lately, they have become dissatisfied, and their once-friendly attitude became hostile. And it was all because of a woman, a commoner from Rio, that got accepted into the Britannia University of Indulgence.
The university was designed to be able to teach anything, all types of skills, as well as to teach anyone regardless of rank. Commoners, Nobles, Royalty, and even Prisoners have a chance to enroll if they fulfill the requirements.
To put it simply, this woman is playing with certain high-ranking youths of two countries. Eventually, both Princes have gotten into a brawl to which no victor was named, and neither country was willing to admit that their Prince had lost.
Emperor Philoxenus chose to remain neutral, which upset "Rio," it's unknown why all of a sudden, they want to start a war over a scabble of a bunch of sixteen-year-old. It is like they are trying to pick a fight, to pick a fight.
Alexandra looked as her father scratched his head, and she then returned to reading her book.
"Forget that, Let's Focus on improving the training,
You had at first shocked then with a survivalist training, on an island for 30 days, to scope out potential leaders. You left then defenseless amongst the wild in the first ten days 23 were taken out due to life-threatening injuries..." He trailed off, "I so you are going with, 'What If' Scenarios."
"Yes, it's always possible for Mage's to be isolated and tasked with surviving on their own. They learned how to handle things and develop."
"As for stripping them of their rank and decorations?"
"To see which Soldiers excel in leadership positions, it became clear who can handle being a leader or who could not pretty quickly."
"Then the Prisoners of War Scenario you went with…"
"To see where one's Loyalty lives, you saw those that failed and sent back home right. I don't need to explain such failures like those to you, yes."
"….." 2nd Major General Glycia and the two continued their talk more in-depth about the training.
Later, the report reached the hands of the Emperor, who became excited at his old age. He recklessly had them sent on the first high-risk mission their first mission.
Second.
Third.
Fourth.
And So On...
The Sudden Boost in Effective tactic also made the other countries weary and outraged that Britannia was using Mage again. They started to pull on threats towards Britannia to stop using Mages. But The Emperor had nothing to worry about. His mages proved their usefulness in combat.
Soon, the terrifying Mages Training was incorporated completely, not just towards the Mages, but all forms of Britannia's Militia. Proving Successful and boasting soldier talents.
This made the other Countries backed off. However, that was only one problem solved the other was the appearance of the gates
