Capítulo 110: Comfort

"So you did not tell me your new reason to run away from me," Vincent asked while he kept his eyes closed and leaned back against the tree. He was not tired but there was barely anything to do. Prudence was in her own world. As long as she sat beside him, Vincent was comfortable. 

Prudence pulled another small grass leaf, and it broke in the middle instead of uprooting itself, "I don't think a person should need a reason to run away from death." 

Her words instantly made Vincent chuckle as he opened his eyes to look her way. She was still busy with the grass, like that was more interesting to her. However, she wasn't abandoning the conversation. "You think I would kill you?" Vincent inquired. Prudence did not budge even slightly at the question. Perhaps it was a good decision to bring her here. She would talk more of what was on her mind. 

"If a situation arises, when you are angry enough, wouldn't you?" Prudence questioned him back.
