Familiar warmth spread inside my body at his lips moving against mine. My knees buckled and he held me by my waist, pulling me closer. I surrendered in his arms and he kissed me slowly as if we were teenagers sharing our first kiss. Hesitant at first and then the raging control slipped through his hands and he buried them in my hair. When I broke apart, Danzel rested his forehead against mine and breathed,

"I fucking missed you!" and my heart fluttered, "I missed you so much!"

I nodded and he kissed me again, "I am sorry."

"I am sorry too," I breathed against his mouth, "—for leaving you."
