5.1% Madam's Madam [GL] / Chapter 12: I'm Happy You Found Her

Capítulo 12: I'm Happy You Found Her

Fiona couldn't even begin getting up after figuring out what happened to her. Her ankles were aching, along with her butt and back. Her expensive skirt was torn, and her shoes lost a stiletto. What was worse was that her legs were left wide open for Elijah and the secretary to see her thin lace underwear.

She even felt humiliated when Elijah grimaced at the sight. He just sent the secretary to help her before asking someone else to call for Utility and the nurse.

Keagan knew she shouldn't have gotten aggressive, but those people wanted to cause bodily harm to her. If she didn't fight using her own body, she would only find herself broken apart. She never wanted to feel that way again, especially when there was no more Elijah to break her fall. Even that man was now against her, just like everyone else.

Her shoulders were low, and her arms hung down along with the small bag. Her fingers couldn't even put enough strength to keep the bag from falling off. Thud. Keagan was awakened when she lost hold of the bag. Instead of picking it up, she just looked at it.

The bag was Elijah's even if the contents were for her. The phone was bought by Elijah even if the files were compiled by her. Everything within and without that bag was his, never hers.

"Will Madam get angry at me if I jump down her building?" Keagan murmured. She didn't even bother with her hundred bucks. It was just too small for her to stomach touching the belongings of that vile man. She loved him, but clearly, he saw her as nothing more than just a label to wear.

"I thought I'd only see you lost in a mansion, not in a building. The layout is not that complicated, even."

Keagan twitched and heard a familiar voice. When she turned to the adjacent hallway, she saw a handsome young man using the convex mirror to fix his hair. His eyes were still so sharp, his hair silky smooth as if he used more products on it than a normal woman. It was just that he was even using the mirror to lock gazes with Keagan.

The blonde lady then brought her eyes down to his real face and forced a smile to greet the acquaintance. "Mr. Gephardt, are you here to see Madam Chastain?"

"Humph, it's Mr. Kosarin for you." Gephardt met Keagan's gaze through her real eyes this time. "And yes, I'm looking for her. I followed her scent to this hallway, but I couldn't find her."

"…followed her scent?" Keagan walked toward Gephardt and past him, as she led him to the elevator. He was standing by the elevator lobby, after all. "You should get to her through here. The top floor is reserved for the CEO's office. It should be easier to find her there."

Keagan watched Gephardt enter the elevator, and she just poked her hand in to press on the top floor. However, Gephardt grabbed her wrist and pulled her inside. Keagan yelped as she crashed into his body, soon looking up at his handsome yet cold-gazing face.

He then said, "I'm not going to get lost in this place. Wren will get worried if I don't show up like I said I would. You're not leaving my side before I see her again."

"…are you scared, Mr. Kosarin?"

"…don't tell Wren. She'll ask me not to come anymore."

Keagan broke into a chuckle as she stepped back to leave Gephardt's personal space. She just rode the elevator with Gephardt, looking out the glass wall to see the city below them. Top companies just loved a cityscape view under their feet as if they were gods—that was what Keagan thought.

The two reached the top floor and found the two secretaries of the CEO. On the left side was a man, who kept sorting documents submitted to them. On the right side was a woman, who mirrored Wren Chastain's cold and intimidating aura. The two of them looked up to find Gephardt and Keagan walking in nonchalantly as if they didn't need an appointment to be let in.

Then again, the female secretary suddenly glared at the male secretary and shook her head. The male pursed his lips and didn't bother greeting the two people that came.

Gephardt didn't care about them, either. He just stood outside the door and spoke, "Wren, I came to see you as I promised!"

"Did you not get lost going up here?" Wren's voice came from the side, and Keagan felt uneasy seeing her again. Wren was indirectly involved in Keagan's fight with Elijah, no matter how innocent the madam was. Still, Keagan owed her a few things.

"Of course not. It's not that hard to find you." Gephardt lied, but he was confident that no one would find out. It was just that he immediately went to embrace Wren when he saw her. Wren didn't seem to be fazed; it was as if she figured the man grew scared of not arriving.

That was the only time Wren's eyes met Keagan's gaze. For a blank second, they just stared at each other before Keagan clapped as if attracting Gephardt's attention. "Mr. Kosarin, I'm happy you found her! I should be going now."

Gephardt didn't respond in any way, so Keagan figured she would have to leave. However, Wren reached out to call her attention. With Gephardt's body covering Wren's smaller frame, she could only hope Keagan would notice her hand and her words.

"Wait, Miss Allard, please join me for a bit. I wish to speak with you," Wren said. She sought Keagan's optimistic assent with a nod, but she only saw how Keagan looked down at her empty hands. To think about it, there was a bag at the desk earlier. Where did it go?

"…I don't know if I want to, Madam. I just want to go home." Keagan forced a smile, but she saw how Gephardt turned to her again. His long arm didn't have trouble reaching for her and dragging her inside the inner office. She just had to sit through speaking to Wren again.

Gephardt pushed Wren to the couch, pulling Keagan behind him. He then made them both sit on the thick and bouncy couch at the side. Before he could say something, he turned to find the sweet-smelling frappes on the table. He forgot about them and went to pick out one for himself.

At that, Wren turned to face Keagan, who only sighed discreetly. "Is something wrong? You're not being yourself today. Did he speak to you?"

Keagan turned to face Wren. "Madam, why did you tell him? He even felt so bad that he needed to fire some of his people because of me. I couldn't even show my face to him again…"

"How arrogant." Keagan caught Wren suddenly scoffing with so much derision. "How could he treat a princess like this?"
