The doorbell chimed, and Curt said goodbye. Lindy greeted him with a cheerful smile, the young brunette the best antidote his son had found. He certainly liked her. Clothed in a low fitted denim, it showed off her toned body. The white tank top displayed a belly ring.

"Hi, Colonel McGee," she greeted. She insisted to call him on his rank. Her dad died two years ago after an ops gone bad, leaving her and her mother alone. Her mother was seeing an older man stationed at the Air Force Base. Captain DW Steele had a long rap sheet. Lindy asked him to check on the man. According to Lindy, the captain was serious.

He met the mother during Mark's hospitalisation. She was a school teacher at the local high school and taught drama in her free time.

"Please come in Lindy, Mark will be with us shortly."

She held out a warm dish. "I brought potato bake. Mark says he loves it."
