Capítulo 2: Prologue ( 2 )
The boy shivered in fear as he saw the man in front of him holding a dagger that threatens to cut his neck , and when he tried to scream for help the leader of assassins put his hand on his mouth to prevent him from screaming and then picked him up and got out of the carriage and stood in frond of it looking at Max struggling with his men till he killed all of them .
" What did you do to his highness ?!! I warn you if yo-"
Max shouted at the leader of assassins but couldn't complete his shout as the leader cut his words
" I didn't do anything just a little talk , am I right little boy ?! "
The leader said with a sinister smile spreading across his face .
" Just surrender , you don't have any choice "
Max's face filled with hate towards himself , he thought that his highness ran as he told him but to his surprise he didn't because his highness was worried that he would die , of course any person whether child or old fear death .
" Okay I will do as you wish , just don't harm his highness "
Said Max as he considered this as his last struggle
" You know our goal is to kill the royal family, right ? Or you don't , of course you don't how stupid I am hahahaha …. But fear not maybe I can guarantee your wish "
Said the leader of assassins while walking back little by little to the cliff behind him .
Max immediately noticed that and tried to run to him but the leader stopped him
" Don't move or I will cut his neck on the spot ! "
Max stopped with struggling face " Don't do anything bad to his highness "
The boy in question was unconscious due to the fear he suffered .
When the leader reached the cliff he stopped his steps
" Well , I know you suffered and this child too , he is too young to experience something like this , poor child "
Max relieved a little , he thought that he will spare his highness but unfortunately what happened next made his heart stop for a second , the leader throw the child off of the cliff while Max looked shocked as he saw his highness falling off of the cliff , he then ran to the cliff hoping to catch his highness but it was too late , he then looked at the leader …
" WHY ?!! WHY DID YOU DO THAT ?!!! YOU PROMISED THAT YOU WILL SPARE HIM !!! YOU PROMISED !!! "
" When did I promised to spare him , you know in a situation like this you shouldn't believe anyone says that he will spare his victim "
The leader said sarcastically then he whispered in his ear " You are stupid to believe something like , this world is so cold , there are no friends , just strangers "
Then he looked at Max with disdain as if he is looking at a piece of garbage .
Max was shocked that he couldn't react to anything then suddenly he felt his world turn upside down , he didn't know what happened until his head rolled on the ground as the leader cut off his head with his dagger
' I'm sorry your highness, I've failed you '
This was Max 's last thought before his death then he leader of the assassins looked at the carriage with pity
' How come a great royal family fall just like that , how foolish '
Then he disappeared without any traces as if he blended with the dark .

( MC POV )
Dark , nothing can be seen and I feel as if a heavy weight is on my body making me unable to move even I can't feel my limbs as if it has been cut , slowly I began to feel my body again and the heavy weight started to subside then I started to open my eyes slowly until I opened them completely and began to look around but I can't see anything then I stood up slowly and looked around me one more time but suddenly I heard a sound of footsteps coming toward me .
The sound continued until it stopped then as if knowing where I'm a light was pointed out on me I closed my eyes immediately because the light was strong for eyes , I then opened them little by little so that it adapt to the light after I opened them completely I saw him , an old man with grey hair and grey beard looking at me .
After quite some good minutes the man opened his mouth and spoke
" Oh ! You are awake ! Good ! Good ! I was coming to wake you up but it's good that you woke up first or you will wake up by a way you won't like "
The old man's voice was so deep and rough that you can deduce that he lived for a long long time , however , I couldn't even understand anything , where am I or where is this place ? Everything was mysterious to me but suddenly the old man spoke again
" I know that you are confused and not understand anything but fear not you will understand everything soon , come follow me "
Although I don't understand anything I decided to follow that old man , I'm not stupid to not do that as my instincts are telling me to not provoke that guy or I' m dead , anyway even if he is not as long as he has answers for my questions I will follow him , by the way I figured that the light was coming from one of his finger tips , however I followed him until we entered a wide room with a red carpet in the middle like the one in the royal palace , the room was made of a strange black stone with a throne at the end of the room , the throne was majestic and decorated with dragons' skulls I stood there in the room with surprised look on my face until his voice snapped me out of my surprise
" what are looking at , come here ! "
The old man muttered in high voice to the boy .
I looked at the old man who was sitting on the throne and walked to him until I reached in front of him then he said
" Well , how is your body ? "
I tilted my head slightly with a confusion on my face not understanding what he means
" you were in a bad condition when I found you that's why I'm asking , there was blood everywhere on your body "
I was confused more until I remembered then understood what he means , when the man with the dagger caught me I fainted due to fear and after some time I gained a bit of my consciousness and at that moment that man throw me off that all I remember before I lost my consciousness again . I could've died but fortunately that old man saved me . Then suddenly the old man spoke attracting my attention to him …
" when I found you , you were heavily injured and blood dripping from you body I deduced that you fell off of cliff but fortunately you fell on water and some small rocks , I then picked you and healed you , you should thank me for that "
The old man said the last part with a cheeky smile , however I ignored that then I thanked him for what he did for me , I could've died before avenging mom and dad
" Thank you ...hmmmmm….what is your name ?! "
" You should say your name first not me "
" Oh ! I apologize my name is Daniel Carssel and ...nevermind "
" Well my name is Earl , Earl Grey nice to meet you young boy "
