Capítulo 11: Chapter 11

“Fucking in-breds,” I muttered as I pulled out of the gravel parking area.

When I pulled up to Consetta’s, Ned was sitting on a wooden staircase that looked as if it was about to fall apart. He waved when he saw me.

“Hey there,” he called as I got out of the car, beer tucked under my arm.

“I bear gifts,” I called back and tilted to the side so he could see what I was carrying. “Thought you might like a beer.”

“I never met one I didn’t like,” he said. When he stood up, I could see that the top button of his jeans was undone, his t-shirt was a size too small and rode up just above his belly button. I looked away, but not before I saw his treasure trail. A blush rose to my cheeks.

“Bet you never even noticed the stairs,” Ned said as he offered to take the beers from me

I let him take the bag and couldn’t help but hope our hands would touch. “Can’t say that I have, actually.”

“Come on up and take a look.”
