-3rd POV-
Crusch got down from her mount bowed at a 90-degree angle and said "Please, I implore you, help me and my men to take down the White Whale. With your help, I'm sure we can minimise the casualties. What do you say?"
"Please do not bow Lady Karsten, such actions are unfit for the head of the noble Karsten family." The butler told the noble lady, showing his care for her in his tone and facial expressions, as a grandfather would look at his granddaughter.
Now standing straight, Lady Karsten turned to the butler and said "No, in a situation like this, as the head of the Karsten family, I must look after my soldiers no matter how shameful it may seem."
The butler gave a resigned shake of his head, but beneath that, he had a look of pride and a small smile curved on his face.
She turned back to Raito and Suki, not giving a glance to the passed-out JoJo. "So, what do you say? Will you join our fight and work together?" A confident look in her eyes, as if saying she knew they would agree, seeing as it is the smartest option as both their goals align.
"Yes, I believe working together would be beneficial for both of us, so I have no reason to refuse," Raito responded, his face still stoic, compared to the resolved face of Lady Karsten or the deep-seated hatred in the butler's eyes as he heard the screeches of the White Whale.
Suddenly a boy dressed in a tracksuit and with the characteristics of a Japanese boy approached the group. He was looking at Raito with a dazed look on his face like he was a friend he hadn't seen in a while.
"You... Are you... Japanese?" The boy in the tracksuit said, shock and hope present in his voice, clearly hoping he said yes.
Raito looked at the boy dressed in the tracksuit, the corner of his eye twitched for a millisecond before it went back to normal. "No, I have never heard of this Japanese. I am a foreign Noble."
"Oh." The boy said in a dejected tone, whilst still some scepticism, he seemed to have accepted the answer at face value.
As both Raito and the newly introduced Japanese boy were so focused on the other, they failed to notice for the first couple of seconds that the whale's screeching was affecting most of the soldiers.
They finally paid attention as the soldiers began to scream and fall off their mounts, clawing and harming themselves.
The Japanese boy jumped off his mount and checked on the closest soldier to him, While he did that Raito looked around with curiosity and then looked up at the smoke above in the direction the screeches were coming from.
"Some people are and some people aren't affected huh, Suki do you know how this is happening?" Raito turned to Suki, who was right beside him and asked with curiosity on his face.
"It seems the whale is attacking them mentally, but some people can resist," Suki answered with a proud tone, happy to be of help to Raito. "Should we help them?" Suki then asked.
"Yes, seeing as we just became allies. If we didn't help now then that might ruin it." Raito looked around and saw that the unaffected, and even some of the lesser affected were helping the people who were harming themselves. That included Crusch who had left when they first started collapsing, but she still seemed to be in discomfort.
Raito and Suki proceeded to go around checking on people, restricting them if needed. The same was done by everyone not affected.
Whilst Raito and Suki were helping out, a sudden voice broke through the cries of pain, and that voice belonged to the Japanese boy. "Anyone who can hear me, cover your ears! Pass that on to everyone out of the range of my voice!"
"Huh?" Raito looked in the direction of the boy and saw that he was riding on his mount with a girl on the back, the same one that he was with earlier.
"Is he strong? I haven't seen him do anything yet though. Maybe he was concealing his strength?" Raito mumbled to himself, confused by the actions of this seemingly weak person, clearly not from this world.
"No, he's weak," Suki said with a straight face, not mocking him just stating a fact.
"What is he doing then? I need to investigate him, he isn't from this world so how is he here? I'll investigate when this whale is dead." Raito said to himself, only loud enough for Suki to hear him.
"Those of you who can move, get all of the injured to the foot of the tree!" Crusch's voice reached everyone, making all that could listen to her commands.
Raito and Suki saw all the soldiers that could fight run in the same direction that the Japanese boy and blue-haired girl went. Seeing this they both decided to follow, ready to kill the whale.

I haven't written in like 2 days and I already feel rusty. Not sure if this is good or not but I thought I should stop procrastinating, so here's another chapter.
