Capítulo 13: Adventurer's Guild
A few hours have past and it was now afternoon when Sora woke up. He heard someone outside the door.
"Mr. Sora your lunch is hear!"
Opening the door Sora saw a young girl carrying a tray in her hand on it were the food that Sora ordered earlier when he checked in. The girl was wearing a waitress uniform, its appearance was similar looking to a maid uniform.
"Thanks" (Sora)
The waitress then entered the room and put the food in the table, she gave a bow towards Sora and left the room.
"Enjoy your meal~"
Sora then sat on the chair and began to eat his food. After he was finish eating Sora changed clothes and prepared to go to the Adventurer's Guild to report on the Orc Nest Mission.
After changing clothes Sora was now heading towards the Adventurer's Guild, from the distance he could see the guild it had a logo of a cross swords with a shield in the middle. There were the words "Adventurer's Guild" written in the words of the Holy Kingdom, Seraphinia. The kingdom was founded by one of the 12 Legendary Dragon Emperors, The Holy Dragon Emperor, Sierra Rasiel von Serphinia.
Due to this being the nation that the Holy Dragon Emperor built the faith towards the Holy Dragon Church and the Church of the 12 Dragon Gods was quite high especially towards the Holy Dragon God who was the patron of the Holy Dragon Emperor.
As Sora walks through the streets heading towards the Adventurer's guild he reminisces of the time when the 12 Dragon Emperors were building their own nations in the ruined world destroyed by the Devil Dragon Emperor's forces. During the time although they did defeat the Devil Dragon Emperor many nations were destroyed, if not for the help of the Dragon Emperors it would have been harder to restore the lives of the people.
Sora then arrives at the adventurers guild and entered it. As Sora entered the surrounding adventurers looked towards him for a bit then looks aways.
Sora then went to the receptionist that was open and to submit a report about the conpletion kf the quest. Seeing Sora approach the receptionist greeted him.
"Oh Sora is that you? I thought you retired." (Receptionist)
The receptionist was one of Sora's friends from back when he was an adventurer it seems. Her name was Claire and she was also a former A Rank adventurer that retired.
"Hey Claire long time no see. Well I did retire but im currently traveling to meet a friend of mine." (Sora)
Sora seeing a familiar face greeted her.
"Oh I take it you ran out of funds and here to take on a quest?" (Claire)
"Ah. No I'm not im here to submit a report. I already took a quest last week." (Sora)
"Oh so thats why. I was out last week due to some guild related bussiness thats why we didnt meet. If your gonna report lets go in a room I'll hear it." (Claire)
Claire then leads Sora to one of the rooms provided by the guild. The guild provides a couple of rooms to hear the report of adventurers who took some important and hard quests like the Orc Nest Subjugation Mission that Sora took. Besides those there are also those designated quests assigned to B Rank adventurers and above.
Though Sora is an exception as he possess the capability to rival those of A Rank, he was given special rights to accept quests higher than his Rank C. They did this by changing the higher ranking quest to special unrank. quests, usually those quest who are unrank are those without much information given to it and material gathering, to which the requester posts a quest where he specifies what he needs. Everyone can do this gathering quest regardless of methods even if they bought the material from an acquaintance it is still accepted.
The guild can't really promote him as he declines to take the test. They were also afraid to lose a valuable talent should they promote him and he quits.
Well this exception only works in limited guild branches such as the one assigned to this city who is close friends with Sora, and know him personally.
After being led to the room Sora took a sit in the couch in the room. Opposite of him Claire sat in the other sofa, the two of them were quite close in distance only divided by a table in the middle.
Claire then brewed some tea for Sora as they then start their discussion.
"So how was the mission?" (Claire)
"It was still alright. Although there were some lacking information as a Orc King along with some Orc Knights were there. " Sora just nonchalantly tells Claire.
"Wait what a Orc King?!" Hearing about the Orc King Claire was slightly startled
"Dont worry, I have killed it already." Sora then proceeds to report about his mission and told of the things he encountered during his mission. As Claire was listening to Sora she was slightly amazed, although she already knew some of his absurdities it does not stop her from being amazed.
"Still I'm amazed you managed to fight it equally in close combat. Normally even for a B Rank Adventurer they wouldn't be able to take on the Orc King like you can. They even needed a party to do so. Although I knew of your prowess Im still amazed you managed to defeat them with just the two of you." (Claire)
Claire knew that to take on a monster like a Orc King, it should be undertaken by a B rank adventurer party to subjugate the Orc King. There was also the fact that there were also the fact that there was also those Orc Knights which further raises the difficulty of the mission.
"Speaking of which, Im surprised you let that girl tag along knowing you, you would normally reject them immediately and take the mission by yourself." (Claire)
"Well it would serve as good experience for her and I could protect her if its just against some orcs. The Orc Knights were troublesome though." Said Sora with a gentle smile as he speaks about Alicia
Claire seeing this gentle smile immediately thought of something.
"Wait don't tell me you like her?!" (Claire)
"Well you see..." As Sora was about to explain the door suddenly opened and revealed a Loli standing by the door. She had Jade colored hair and had a witch like hat on her head.
"Big brother Sora you finally came!"
