Capítulo 9: Chapter 9- Putting a label on it

POV- Hope

I was unsure. Not about Dom, despite the short time together, and the speedy relationship. No, I was unsure about how we could convince the twins and Penelope into joining our family. While I NEVER thought I would be sharing a partner, there was something about Dom that made it feel…right. Before we had sex, unbeknownst to Dom, I made sure to cleanse myself of any spells, as I felt the situation flip quickly and my body react to him. But again, it wasn't magic that made me feel like this…it was him.

Penelope would have to be the last introduced into our relationship, but I wasn't sure which approach to use on Lizzie and Josie, whether straightforward honesty or slow, deliberate introductions. Looking up at Dom whose warm hand encased mine, I could see the nervousness in his eyes, as he'd had when he asked me out. He was so easy to read it was hilarious, whether it was the excitement and joy when I kissed him, the nervousness now, or the disgust and rage he felt stabbing the humanised dragon.

"Dom, we should probably wait 'til tomorrow just so that it doesn't affect the vote, and so that we don't rush into things. If things turn bad between us, we can explain it to them." He smiled, flashing his pearly and slightly pointed teeth at me.

"Once it comes out that we're together, you may cop some flak from Josie or Liz, sorry. Though I'll have to put up with Landon's whining."

"And after all of us are together, from Dr Saltzman and Caroline," I joke, but I can't help but offer. "We could keep us a secret, until wer-"

"Woah, absolutely not. Not for anything." Relieved, I smile up at him, pulling him into a brief kiss before we get near my dorm room, and again as we stand in front of it, separating so that we can return to our own rooms and wash off the smell."

POV- Dominic

Having spent months listening to Landon ramble on about some girl from his work, I could never have imagined anything that would occur after I met her. From the introduction of monsters and the supernatural into my life, the friendship I formed with her, so swiftly and easily, it was like I was enchanted. And NEVER, would I have thought I would end up dating her, planning a polyamorous relationship with her and a set of twin witches as well as the hated ex of one of the twins. My own harem of beautiful and charismatic witches that each seem to dislike each other.

Taking a quick glance in the mirror, I noticed a shift in my appearance. Not in muscle, or height, but in my eyes. My eyes, which had been fairly regular before, were now far more vibrant, the iris almost popping with colour. 'I wonder if that has anything to do with the rumour about incubi growing stronger when they have sex. Wait, but that's when the person had their life force drained, which I certainly didn't do. I'll figure it out later I guess, along with the hundred and one OTHER things I need to do.'

The council room was essentially a really small office with a round table and 5 chairs around it, Emma already waiting in the room along with Hope, who was smiling brightly while watching Emma's awkward expressions, Raf, Kaleb and Josie.

"Why are they both here?" Kaleb asked, though he sounded more confused than upset.

"Because no one other than ourselves can represent our species," Hope replied, taking a seat next to mine, Josie on my left, watching us and trying to identify the change in Hope's attitude. For such a renowned gloomy girl to be so positive and happy was definitely shocking, Josie almost felt the shift in mood gave her whiplash.

POV-Josie

After hearing that Dom was called into Emma's office after being seen dragging both Landon and Jed into Dad's office, both Lizzie and I were anxious. 'Did something serious happen? Why did he drag them back? Why did he have to? Are they injured? Is Dom okay? Why was he called into Emma's room? Is he being punished?' These sorts of questions slipped from both of us as we hoped that he would be fine. The two of us were both fully aware by this point that we each had a crush on the incubus, yet neither one of us cared. My nervousness turned to confusion and curiosity, however, when I saw Hope in the meeting room.

'What's got her so happy? Is it about Landon, she used to have a crush on him right? No, she stopped even paying attention to him after Dom arrived…No way. Is that it? She has a thing for Dom?' Part of me was scared and jealous, worried about losing him to her like we lost Dad's attention to her, but there was something almost equally prevalent as I imagined her smirking at me as she kissed him in front of me. Of the two of them fucking in his room less than 20 yards from my own, Hope pressed into the mattress as he takes her from behind. My two crushes together. Wait, there's not even any evidence they're a thing,' I console myself, trying desperately to calm my breathing and ignore the dampening of my underwear.

When Dom walked in it was obvious. The way she smiled at him, how she moved to sit beside him quicker even than myself. 'There's something going on between them,' I think to myself, trying to catch Miss Tig's words as she summoned a floating set of scales, 'and I've never been more aroused.

POV- Dominic

"We're here to discuss if Landon should be allowed to stay at the school," Emma began. "My vote, on behalf of the lower school," which incorporated the younger students too young to fully control their own emotions, let alone powers, "is to err on the side of inclusion. We exist to help kids like him." She then placed a customised mahjong-looking tile onto the levitating scales, before looking at me. "Which I will now go back to the infirmary and continue doing after Nathan's…retribution." The entire council was now looking at me with confusion and surprise, silent until she left the room.

"Ignoring that, who's going first," Rafael said, hoping to get the vote over with.

Kaleb dropped his tile in the empty cup, "Humans don't belong here, and until he is supernatural, he's human. They don't accept us, so why should we accept them?"

I dropped mine with Emma's, "Firstly, he's just unawakened, and secondly, if we don't keep him there will be a security risk roaming the human world. He'd snitch. So unless we do the spell that we planned before, hoping that it works on whatever kind of supernatural he is…"

"But he's not safe here," Kaleb responded. "He's weak, doesn't gain anything from the supernatural classes, and can't protect himself."

"Well, he knows that, yet was willing to stay. Kinda like informed consent, if he dies, he dies." Raf jumped up at my words with clenched fists.

Hope and Josie quickly follow my lead, dropping their tiles in and making the scales vanish from the air. "Well, that was exciting," Hope said sarcastically. "Hopefully the next meeting will be about something relevant for the whole school."

POV-Lizzie

Josie had left for the meeting twenty minutes ago, and still, I couldn't stop worrying about Dom's talk with Dad and Emma. I really didn't want to see him punished for fighting, or worse, made to leave because of that elf. Though I've never told him about my disorder, there's no way he hasn't heard about it by now, and he hasn't distanced himself at all. He comforted me on his first day and helped me support my sister in achieving something she wanted. Not to mention his looks, which I've spent the last few nights thinking about, Josie too probably. It was weird, but his presence helped bring the two of us closer.

Josie came into the room in a slump. "Did the elf get kicked out?"

"Hmm, oh no. Landon's staying, the only one that voted against was Kaleb, 5 to 1."

"What do you mean 5?"

"Well, both Dom and Hope are the only ones of their kind, and decided to elect themselves." 'Hilarious. Dom had absolutely no intention of losing this vote or any others.'

"Then why're you looking so out of it?" Josie's face contorted, making the same face she makes every time she decides to lie or hide things from me to prevent an outburst. "Josie…"

She sighed and collapsed in bed next to me. "Hope has a crush on Dom. I'm not sure if they're a thing but she was practically beaming when he walked in the room." 'That skank. First, she takes our dad and now Dom. Potentially dealing with Josie was weird enough, but perfect, gorgeous, Tribrid Hope Mikaelson, was horrifying.' "Are you okay?" I could feel Josie's support through my back, along with her underwire.

"I'm fine Josie, but we need to be more aggressive then." Her face turned a scarlet hue while mine blanched. "You've been with him, haven't you? You took your shot."

"Ah, um, well, th-"

"Spit it out."

"This morning he decided to go through with his joke of 'seducing the new queen,' and it started as a kiss, but we…he ended up eating me out while I pulled on his horns like Penelope did. I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but I was worried you'd…" I could see where she was coming from, and a week ago, I might have had an outburst…I probably would have had an episode. But honestly, I was torn between wanting to go to sleep, forgetting my sister was more aggressive than me sexually, and making her cough up every detail in excruciating vividity. Just as I hated Penelope, but was turned on hearing about Dom's kiss, I was experiencing something similar, and so I rotated, holding her tight to me so she couldn't escape, having her narrate her session with Dom.

'If he's anything like she said, I may just drag him into a room myself, regardless of my sister or Hope. Maybe I'll do it in front of Hope, just to watch her suffer. Damn, that's hot.'

POV- Landon

Raf had told me the good news last night, but I hadn't seen Dominic yet. My thoughts were made worthless as he rocked up in the dining hall, dark jeans and a purple-checkered flannel to match the tail and horns everyone knew he had. Often, he just left them out, whether he enjoyed the looks or simply forgot I don't know, and regardless he always looked like a model. Hugging him as he crashes into the seat next to me, I thank him for everything. "I heard you basically rigged the vote to keep me here man, thanks. You not only saved my life, but kept me here. I don't know how to thank you." I saw him wince but couldn't understand why.

"Don't worry about it," he said quietly, draining his coffee in one go, looking across as the hall doors opened again, Hope and the headmaster's daughters arriving as a group for once. Normally, they'd have raced to sit closest to Dom, something I was jealous of, both as a man and brother. He had a species, Raf had his pack, and yet Dom didn't seem to care much for my interest in Hope. I'd told Raf, and he'd told Dom about it, so it wasn't like he was unaware. 'Though he was never super interested in girls our age either. I'd seen him casually flirting with one of the older soccer moms that lived down the street, as well as our neighbour, Mrs Lopez. I'd asked him if he had a thing for older women but he just made a joke about appreciating the differences between women. Classic fuckboy, but without the usual bullying and frat bro attitude.'

"Hey/Hi/Hiya, Dom," the three said. The blonde and the brunette, Josie I think seated across from Hope and Dom. 'Why doesn't Hope look at me like that?'

"Good morning girls," the devil said, before leaning over to Hope, his head stopping me from seeing what he was doing. Though based on the petrified faces of the twins, probably something ridiculous.

Liz then turned red, her face twisted slightly before she got up and left, Josie sending a text before shooting Dom and Hope a look again. "So, you two are…?" 'What is she talking about? Is she asking if they're dating? Why would she think that? Would Dom really have broken the bro code?'

"Together." Stuck still like I was encompassed in granite I sat, looking at the equally shocked Josie. My stomach dropped and I felt ill. 'The one girl I'd had some form of connection with and he swooped in and took her before I even had a chance. Did I ever have a chance?'

"That's great," I hear the brunette say, but her teeth are clamped and her eyes are glassy from the developing tears. "You two and I are going to have some words later…in private." Turning to look specifically at Dom, she spoke softly, "The room we kissed, in 15 minutes." If I wasn't so close, I doubt I would have heard it, but even upon hearing it, I was shocked. 'He'd kissed ANOTHER one. Raf told me about a rumour involving someone called Penelope, but it seems in the very limited time here, he had made out with at least three girls.' She stood and left, taking a small piece of toast with her along with a plate of pastries, presumably for the blonde.

POV- Hope

Breakfast was awkward, to say the least, but I had to admit that watching Lizzie's face as he kissed my cheek was delicious. Though we were now headed to meet with Josie, I couldn't help but be glad again for my decision to date Dom. Landon had sat there, stunned, and while he went to say something as we stood, he fumbled over his words before remaining silent, facing his food. 'I could never be with someone so weak-willed, and anyone that soft wouldn't survive my family. God, Freya or Rebecca would eat him alive.' Ignoring the boy, we left to go talk with Josie, 'where they had kissed.' I might have been annoyed by the jab if I wasn't the one dating Dom, or if I hadn't spent part of last night cuddled up next to him talking about our lives. 'He's so…accepting. He didn't even blink when I described who my father was, and comforted me when I told him about my losses, the two of us lying together in his room, looking out over the lake.'

"Good, you came." Josie was sitting on one of the few couches in the reliquary, clenched-jawed and stiff, despite her attempted smile. "I have to ask… why'd you ACTUALLY kiss me yesterday? If you were going to ask out Hope a day later?"

Dom's face was calm, but there was tension in his hands, his fingers squeezing mine despite the stony exterior. "I hadn't planned on asking Hope out Josie, it just…happened."

"And the kiss?"

He turned to face me, asking for my acceptance, and while I may have wanted to keep him for myself a little longer, she needed to know. "Go ahead Dom," I say quietly as he gives my hand another squeeze.

"I kissed you because I like you, Josie." The poor girl looked startled, flicking her head from me to him and back, looking for something hidden in our faces. "I like sending time with you, the adorable way you care so much about others, even the way you get off on being worshipped." 'Umm, yeah wow. I can't tell what's weirder about the situation, hearing how my boyfriend got a girl off, or being really turned on imagining it with the girl in front of me.'

"Then why're you dating HER?"

"Because we want the same things, and just as I like you, I like her. Her smile, her jokes and her scary threats." 'He likes my WHAT?'

"You're not making any sense. If you like both of us, why did you immediately ask her out? Why would you go down on me?"

"Because I like you BOTH Josie."

"Dom, unless you explain it to her properly she won't get it… We want a large family, and HE has a thing for four women, you and me included. I'm okay with sharing him…with select people."

"You mean like a…"

"Polyamorous relationship, yes."

"I was going to say harem, but I guess that's the same thing in this circumstance. That's…insane. And BEYOND egotistical Wh-"

Before she could continue her berating, he grew out his purple horns, his smooth tail writhing around our legs, interrupting her, "I'm not just a demon Josie. I'm an...incubus, the male version of a succubus." She halted her lecture, slack-jawed before her mouth split into a grin.

"I FUCKING KNEW IT! I knew the tail looked like some of that artwork. Wait, what does being a sex demon have to do with a poly relation-Never mind."

"It's sleep demon," he corrected, "and to be honest I think awakening changed the way I think and feel. I haven't dated or been interested in a long-term relationship in years, but within a few days, I find four beautiful, amazing and powerful women and I can't help but imagine having a family with them. I'm not using it as an excuse, but I want you to understand I'm not trying to build a harem as an ego thing, or so that I can sleep with multiple women, but because I care about you, want you, and want to have a family. 'The speed with which I gained feelings for the four witches was insane. Especially for me.'

I watched as Josie scanned his face, just as I had when he told me, her anger gone, leaving her now with confusion based on her still slack jaw and high eyebrows. "So, why'd you ask her first?" 'Is that seriously the biggest issue right now?'

"She pretty much interrogated me yesterday with a truth ball thing. So…yeah, I confessed I liked her then bam."

"Look, I'm going to need time to think about this. About how I feel about this, how to handle Lizzie," 'Still co-dependent to the end. I wonder what she'll think when she finds out he likes her twin too.' The bell sounded, calling us to our first classes, thus ending the interrogation of the more stable Saltzman twin. 'An excellent start to the day though.'
