31.54% Konoha Hypocrite (TL) / Chapter 135: Food for Thought

Capítulo 135: Food for Thought

It was evening.

The sound of many monks hitting wooden fish could be heard in the hall, which could keep people calm.

The leaves of the ancient trees next to the wall were shining with golden light. A breeze blew by, shaking the trees, and a few leaves slowly fell to the ground.

Suddenly, a bell rang not far away, and the bell was clear, as if it could penetrate the heart.

The two of them strolled around the Fire Temple. Jigo kept pointing at the scenery and introducing it to Uchiha Tunan.

"The Fire Temple has existed for too long. Just the exact written records can be traced back to the time before the warrior era."

"This is where the monks do morning classes."

"This is where the monks live."

....

Uchiha Tunan listened to Jigo's introduction and suddenly asked, "Is Master Jigo already the abbot of the temple?"

Jigo nodded and said, "After I returned last time, I became the abbot."

Hearing this, Uchiha Tunan nodded and turned to look at a beggar curled up in the corner of the temple. He said with a puzzled face,

"What is that person doing?"

Jigo followed Uchiha Tunan's gaze and looked over. He immediately sighed and said,

"That was a person who was frustrated."

"He used to come to the temple to pray and donate a lot of incense money.''

"Now that he is in trouble, it is not good for us to drive him away."

"Send him some porridge every day."

"If he is still like this after a while, we can only send him down the mountain."

Uchiha Tunan frowned and said, "Let him fend for himself?"

Jigo put his hands together, as if he was praying for him in his heart. Then, he said helplessly, "Although it is cruel, we have no way."

"Can't you enlighten him?" Uchiha Tunan asked, puzzled.

"..."

Jigo pointed at a monk walking over with a bowl of porridge.

"Look over there."

The monk came up to the beggar. He was not in a hurry to give him the porridge. Instead, he advised first,

"Benefactor, as long as you have no distracting thoughts, you can let go of anything."

Why be so persistent?

The beggar heard the sound and finally raised his head. Uchiha Tunan finally saw the beggar's face clearly.

His eyes were empty and lifeless. His skin was also dark. His beard had not been repaired for a long time, so it was very long. He looked extremely sloppy.

He lay on the ground and muttered,

"I lost all my family property. My wife and children have been brought to pay for it. What else can I do?"

"Don't say anymore. Hurry up and eat. I'm starving. "

As he spoke, he rubbed his upper body a few times, leaned against the steps, and extended his hand.

He waited for the monk to place the bowl in his hand.

Uchiha Tunan turned to Jigo and said,

"Your method is wrong. I'll try it."

Jigo nodded and said, "Alright."

Uchiha Tunan quickly walked towards the beggar.

The monk had just placed the bowl in the beggar's hand when Uchiha Tunan kicked the bowl to the ground.

"Pa!"

Seeing this, the monk was slightly stunned and looked at Jigo who was not far away.

Seeing Jigo give him a look, he put his palms together and left silently.

Uchiha Tunan stood in front of the beggar and said with a cold expression,

"Do you have a dream?"

The beggar laughed as if he had heard a big joke. He leaned against the steps.

"Dream... what's the point?"

"Does spring wet dream count? Hahaha..."

Uchiha Tunan pointed at an abandoned clock in the corner and said,

"You are like that clock now. It is broken there."

"You only do one thing every day, and that is to do nothing."

"Your life should not be like this."

"I feel that there is no point in you living."

Uchiha Tunan's tone carried some disdain as he looked down at the beggar, as if he was looking down on him.

The beggar, however, reached out and rubbed his stomach disapprovingly. He raised his head to look at the sky, his eyes slightly blurred.

"When I got up every day and went to the ground."

"There was a surge of strength in my heart."

"At that time."

"Every day, I was looking forward to when it would begin."

"But now the strength in my heart was gone."

"Every day, all I think about is when it ends."

Uchiha Tunan sneered and said with disdain,

"When did you think about starting in the past?"

"Then did you start?"

"No, right?"

"You always find excuses for yourself."

"Push things to a certain day in the future."

"But so what if it really comes to that day?"

"You will give yourself more time."

"You don't want to work hard at all."

"You just want to find a shortcut to succeed."

"Even if the consequences of failure can crush you to pieces."

"A person like you is not suitable for living in this world. "

The beggar smiled indifferently. Perhaps he felt that his stomach was too hungry.

He turned over with difficulty and put his hands on the ground, wanting to lick the porridge on the ground.

"Bang."

Uchiha Tunan stepped on the porridge and said fiercely,

"Every day, you wag your tail here to beg for pity just to drink a mouthful of porridge."

"My dog doesn't eat this kind of thing."

"If you learn to bark like a dog, I will ask the monk to give you another bowl."

Perhaps Uchiha Tunan's words were too heavy, stimulating the beggar's humble self-esteem.

At this time, the beggar's face was full of anger, and he suddenly stood up.

Because of his height, he looked down at Uchiha Tunan and shouted at the top of his lungs,

"What do you know!"

"I tried my best."

"But did anyone give me a chance?"

Uchiha Tunan narrowed his eyes and reached out to grab the beggar by the collar, pulling him forward.

The huge pulling force made the beggar kneel on the ground and look up at Uchiha Tunan.

Uchiha Tunan said slowly in a deep voice,

"Will you have a chance if you lie here all day long?"

"When you can't find any hope."

"You should learn to change yourself."

"The biggest liar in life is actually ourselves."

"Because we always want to change others."

"And refuse to change ourselves."

As he spoke, he directly dragged the beggar who was like a dead dog to the main road and pointed to the hall at the end of the main road.

He said in a tone as if he was stating a fact,

"Look inside, look at those people."

"What are they doing when they are in pain and difficulties?"

"They are praying to God and praying to Buddha, using false faith to hypnotize themselves."

"Let yourself be deeply trapped in a beautiful dream."

"Do you know what the greatest pain in life is?"

Speaking of this, Uchiha Tunan lowered his head and looked straight into the beggar's eyes. He said word by word,

"I woke up in a dream. There is no way out."

After that, he pushed the beggar to the ground.

The beggar lay on the ground with his arms crossed, his eyes full of death.

"I'm already like this... I can't be saved anymore."

Uchiha Tunan squatted down in front of him, grabbed his collar and roared,

"You are already like this. Will it get worse if you fight?"

"What stopped you?"

"Fear!"

"Fear to take the first step towards what you should have."

He was afraid that he had made the wrong choice from the beginning.

He was afraid that he would do his best.

But in the end, he realized that he was useless.

Right!

"You are afraid."

"So you deserve to lie here every day and laugh at yourself in your heart."

"Go to hell!"
