She eyed him sharply. "Should I be honored that I got tricked by you, milord?"
He drank the remaining wine in his glass with one gulp and put it on the wooden table.
He stepped in front of her. His hand was on the rail on her side while his other hand grabbed her glass and finished her wine before putting it down.
The way his Adam's apple moved with his every violent gulp made her feel a tickling heat around her nape.
When he brought his attention back to her, he licked his lips to wipe off the trace of wine.
"How shall I make it up to you then?" he asked with his deep voice, like a seductive devil asking his victim how she would like to be killed. Dangerous yet… enthralling.

Wow, this is seriously a hidden gem! I am very selective when it comes to what I read (and continue) on here, and this perhaps has to be one of the best novels I've read on here - that I really look forward to reading (for the whole story and not just one plot). I love the element of mystery (it really reminds me of "The Lycan's Sin", another fantastic novel on here btw), and the relationship between the 2 main leads. The synopsis does a great job in capturing the interaction between the main leads - their bickering is intelligent yet funny, and the male lead is very, very attractive. The female lead is also strong, cunning, and quite cool, if I do say so myself. Other note: Not only is the grammar almost perfect (and I am very picky when it comes to this) but so is the writing quality. The story flows very smoothly, and the author's descriptions are just ❤️.
There are very little spelling & grammatical errors found while reading, making the reading go smooth & quick. The plot is great & I don’t feel as if I have already, read this storyline nor do I find myself comparing it to similar stories of same genre/topic. The characters are built well & there isn’t the usual blatant back ground dumping. The background is explained through the characters at proper intervals & conversations/plot points. What I love most about this book is the consistency of the characters & their personalities. Nobody has drastic changes for small reasons but, reasonable small changes over time & still are almost how they were when first introduced. I look forward to this novel & all it encompasses including if there ever is side stories from the characters which there are a few I would already love to have their own Novel or volume continuation.

This should be tagged as one of the best novels here in this platform. the writing and narration is top-notch and got me hooked. I'm usually selective when it comes to book but this one made me obsessed.
yeah I gave it 5 stars[img=proud][img=proud][img=proud] cause it is that amazing, I may not be that far ahead but with how much I am picky and this book hasn't disappointed me, which I believe will stay that way, it's worth it.
Superstitious are my cup of tea, especially vampires and mages 🤩🤩.The first chapter hooked me right away, the storylines are quite well developed, not too fast but not too slow, keep the good job author 😉
i just saw this yesterday while randomly scrolling because i was so bored, i gave the first chapter a try, and then i was hooked!!! i just LOVE villainous characters, and Alec and Lauren definitely fit the bill! this story is definitely entertaining, has sooo much potential, i can't wait for more! keep up the amazing work, dear author!🥂🙌😘
Found a hidden gem!! I have a thing for marriage contract & dark mysterious cold ML 😏 Cant wait to see how they fall in love with each other. Im 69 chaps in, and im still very much hooked!
I fell in love with the book at the first chapter itself. I can vouch on behalf of this author, that it's a great book. absolutely beautiful story ❤️ there aren't words to describe how magnificent this story is and how author did a fantastic job 👏😄👏 it was quite refreshing because there is a strong male lead who isn't toxic or typical bully. also there is a equally strong 💪 female lead. love,lust, sadness,loss,fight,romance..you can sense all those feelings in this novel and I must say that I'm sad 😢 because it is over. absolutely worth reading 😉🥰👍

I give this book 5 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟‼️This book is outstanding, truly❣️Anyone come across this book should give it a chance. Just by reading a few chapters it will captivate your interest right away. It seems like the typical unwanted illegitimate daughter and everyone in the family mistreat her. But the best part of this story is, although, she is not wanted, FL is a head-strong woman, smart, calculated and confident about herself. She’s not those typical weak and easily manipulated type of FL, which is great‼️ Also, this is not one of those story where a misunderstanding between the ML and FL prolongs unnecessarily just to keep them away from each other, when all they need is to communicate. The main characters are adorable😍. ML is of course, hot and a wonderful partner❤️😍❣️
