"Can you promise not to hide anything from me?" Hazel frowned, as she stared at their intertwined fingers. It was such a terrible feeling to be left alone in the dark. She didn't want to feel that way any longer.
They needed to fix their communication problem before anything else and she wished Micah would communicate better with her starting from then on.
On the other hand, somehow, Micah realized how many times Hazel had asked this from him, either in this life or in the previous one. She had repeatedly asked for the same thing, but it was hard for him to talk about any problems with her when all he wanted to do was to shower her with happiness.
Micah didn't want to talk about the problems with her. He knew that it was silly of him, but he would feel this uncomfortable feeling whenever he had to trouble her.
"I will try," Micah said, as he kissed the back of her hand.
