Elsa looked at Xavier with a frown when she added, concern evident in her voice. "Don't become too attached to that child like before," she reminded him again. She couldn't help, but become resentful about what the unborn baby would do, according to what happened in the past.
Xavier nodded. He knew exactly what she meant. He wouldn't make the same mistake twice. "I will take care of that too. This time, it will be fine."
On the other hand, Elsa was not convinced with that promise. She pushed herself up and then sat down, as she stared at the perfect man in front of her.
Her scalded hands extended, she cupped Xavier's face in between her palms, but he didn't flinch at all to see such a gruesome sight. "Remember. That woman is not me. She is not me. I am here. So, please don't confuse her for me."
