Capítulo 3: Give up? System

"No results." I said sadly as I kneeled in front of a beautiful lake that could not be hidden from its enchanting view even at night.

This lake was the border between the spirit realm, and if someone uses the ruins to chant the spirit contracting spell, they will be granted power by the spirits.

This was how the healer hero in the anime got his skill: The eye of truth.

It was often referred to as the eye that could see through everything; it was like viewing the status information of a character in a video game when using it.

It also allowed Keyaru to view hidden statuses. In the anime, he was able to use his broken healer powers using the information from his skill and acted accordingly; without this skill, I doubt he would have succeeded in his revenge.

I intended to replicate what happened in the anime and get power from the spirits too, but there was a huge problem.

I do not know the runes or what Keyaru chanted to call upon the spirits.

I tried chanting many things that I thought would help but failed.

My initial plan was to control Freya before heading to the capital, which would make it easy for me to survive. But after receiving the hero insignia on my right hand, I got a wake-up call.

The hero insignia appears on the chosen ones, representing the power of a hero; I received it on the way here. Which means that I now have access to my powers.

The problem was that it was impossible to perfectly take control of her without being discovered.

Not to mention her smart younger sister Norn, others will be able to deduce that something is wrong with her.

Even with this realization, things would not be that bad, right?

Wrong!

This is bad; it was a very bad situation. Without the eye of truth, how will I be able to view hidden information and easily use my powers like the OG main character?

Although I know the current status of the others from watching the anime and reading the manga, what if there are changes and things are not exactly like I imagined?

Heck, the light novel is different from the manga, and the anime is also changed up in some ways. Without the skill, I would have to know the exact, precise information just from memory.

Sigh...

The situation was now hopeless; what should I do?

Will I have to rxped and drugged?

All I felt now was rage.

"Why the fxck was I brought to this damn world?!"

I shouted angrily.

Over the years, I have been unhappy that I was brought to this world, but I did not dwell on it and instead made an effort to prepare and train myself.

Despite this world being dark and cruel, I was shown love and care from my parents, despite their early deaths.

Anna and the villagers were also the people who have cared for me and give me something to fight for. Otherwise, I would have simply killed myself rather than face a horrifying and painful future.

I put my bet on using the cheats Keyaru had in the anime to survive. Now all of my plans are for nothing without the eye of truth.

Unwillingness and sadness started to build up within me; I felt powerless and vulnerable.

I was a normal, lazy young boy who could not withstand hardship in my previous life.

But since coming to this world, for survival, I trained like a madman. I trained hard with gritted teeth; sometimes I would often have the urge to give up but still continued.

It was the kind of training that even some strong people in this world would have a hard time continuing.

Should I finally give up? At least with my death, I will not be able to implicate Anna and the others like in anime...

As I felt my mentality starting to collapse, a sound like heavenly music to my ears rang.

*Ding*

"Am I hallucinating?"
