Amelia Miller carried in a medical kit, tears welling up as she dressed Norris Moore's injured palm.

Norris sank weakly into Alex Miller's arms. She had lost a lot of blood, her face was pale and her body cold.

Alex tried to warm her up, watching as Amelia cleaned Norris's injuries with an antiseptic solution.

She had hurt herself so savagely, as if she bore no fear of the pain, to the point of almost gouging out her own flesh.

"Should we go to the hospital to have it stitched?" Amelia looked at the deep wound clearly showing the bone beneath, her hand trembling unremittingly.

Before Alex could respond, Norris rasped out stubbornly, "I don't want to go to the hospital."

Amelia glanced at Alex. He spoke softly, "Let's see if we can stop the bleeding." He lowered his head towards Norris, whispering, "If we can't stop the bleeding, we have to go to the hospital for stitches."
