His eyes widened as he turned to a large centipede, it must have been as long as 3 trucks and as tall as him. Its segmented, obsidian exoskeleton gleams under a flickering light. It had dozens of legs, each tipped with razor-sharp claws. It's antennae twitch as its predatory, small yellow eyes lock onto prey. Dark shades adorn its giant body, camouflaging it in the shadows as it scuttles through the darkness, leaving a disquieting trail of chittering echoes in its wake.
Quickly his senses shouted at him, he activated his Sharingan. He turned his head and met eyes with the obsidian centipede.
'H-how-' before he could even question his mind about it, his body moved.
In a simple twist to the right he avoided a liquid 'did that thing just try to throw up on me' he thought to himself. He looked back to the centipede, it hadn't moved, it's eyes were locked on his.
The centipede's maw seemed to unfold like a chasm, it revealed its gleaming serrated mandibles, each mandible tip looked like it could cut air itself as they twitched.
Then it chittered.
The nightmarish sound ran through his body, it's chitter was a mix of high pitched clicks and low frequency vibrations. It echoed through the construction site like a sinister symphony.
A moment of silence thick with tension ensued, it lasted for but a moment.
In less than a second the centipede had lunged, the air vibrated with the intensity of its rapid approach. Before The Last Uchiha could think it's maw was not even less than a foot away.
The Sharingans crimson gaze pierced through reality, its gaze dissected every possible move the centipede could perform with unnerving precision.
The Uchihas body started to twist to the left as his eyes were still locked onto the spirits. Time seemed to slow as the tomoe swirled and sent the message to his body.
Fukashi just had to follow that message and he would be safe.
His body fully twisted to the left, he had just avoided the jaw of the dark centipede, his back was to its long segmented body as it rushed past him. He briefly noticed its head swing back around.
Before it's body could fully pass him, he turned and in that one determined movement his fist collided with the curse in an impressive display of strength, but an even more impressive display of endurance from the centipede. The resulting impact reverberated through the thick air, the human remains that surrounded the two were blasted back against the scaffolding.
He had to throw himself out of the way of the it's twisting head, once again he threw himself at the body of the centipede with speed and power, his legs kicking out at the beast to no avail.
Its exoskeleton felt indestructible.
His eyes widened as in a terrifying move the centipede threw itself over its own body, its head was flying towards the surprised Uchiha that was previously hitting the exoskeleton of the curse.
He threw his body backwards and hissed as one of the mandibles caught the top of his thigh. He felt the serrated blade cut through the muscle with ease.
He got back up, this time a bit unsteady as he was already struggling to put weight on his left leg. It's head was already turning back towards him but before he could brace and get ready to move he was smashed from the side.
He felt his ribs creak and ultimately give way to whatever hit him from the side. He took a quick pained glance and saw the retreating tail of the centipede.
He didn't even think of that. He fell to the floor as he released a cough, blood almost threw itself out of his mouth as he coughed again.
Something had gone wrong.
His breaths were quick and wheezing as he tried to catch his breath, out of the corner of his eyes he saw the head of the centipede facing him, it was already within feet of him.
He swallowed as he noticed the concrete below the centipede being destroyed, it left trenches in the concrete where it went.
His breath was still evading him, he knew something had gone wrong. His rib had pierced something vital surely.
'Am I gonna die' he looked to his right, the centipede was practically completely still, his sharingan felt like it had frozen time he sighed. What could he even do, its exoskeleton completely protects it, and its face has got that massive jaw that won't let me get close.
'It's about to hit me anyway' he dropped his head and looked down into his lap, he felt tears well up in his eyes.
'Akira I'm-' his thoughts were interrupted by a massive collision, it's jaw met his flesh. He felt himself involuntarily scream as it's mandibles pierced into his stomach.
Even worse he could feel the mandibles moving while inside of him, this time his scream was guttural as he threw his head back. He caught the sight of a wall, his eyes widened as he felt his body smash through the flimsy wall and into the air.
They were falling, he felt air tearing into his skin as he looked into the bright sky. A bird passed overhead, it chirped.
He looked ahead directly at the centipede, their eyes met. It looked victorious 'god that's annoying' he thought as he looked away, he didn't even wince as its mandibles started to tear away at his intestines.
He simply placed his foot on its mandible and pushed, he would die without some damn curse leeching off him.
The centipede definitely took some part of him with it but he ignored the pain.
The bird chirped again.
And again
All he could hear were chirps.
He felt an odd sense of euphoria, the wind rushing across his face made him feel free. The once chaotic descent turned into a strange dance with gravity.
He had embraced the fall, his red eyes were focused on a bird above him.
It kept chirping.
The impact of the sorcerer hitting the ground was an unforgiving collision of forces. Gravity, in a relentless embrace, merges with the velocity gained during the fall. The atmosphere resounds with a thunderous shockwave as the body meets the unyielding surface below. Bones and sinew bear the brunt of the force, and the kinetic energy dissipates in a violent release, sending tremors through the very core of the impact zone.
The centipede landed after he did with a large crash, he heard people scream. He felt grass under his fingers, the soft kind of grass, not the rough and spiky kind in the Uchiha district.
'Leiji' the thought of his younger brother brought a smile to his face. 'Akira' , the thought of him almost brought him back.
Akira
He heard the bird chirp again, and again and again.
He saw someone standing above him. They had white hair it was dangling in front of him.
He heard that damn chirp again.
'Akira'
Involuntarily he felt his body move, he didn't know why but he was moving. He felt his own arms turn him so he was stomach down to the grass.
'Akira'
His arms pushed and he was on his knees.
'Akira'
He felt two small soft hands trying to hold him down, with ease he pushed whatever tried to hold him down away.
'Akira!'
He got to his feet and turned his head.
That bird chirped again.
He looked towards the person in front of him.
Long hair.
Big axe.
She had her back to him.
She was facing the centipede.
The centipede.
The thought brought anger rushing to the surface.
The bird started to chirp again, this time though it kept chirping.
He looked up at the empty sky.
No birds.
He looked down to his right fist.
1000 birds.
The grin that lit his face was child-likes.
His lightning covered fist clenched.
The air quivered with power, the Uchiha with precision and lightning quick speed rushed towards the curse.
He ran straight past the woman and with a grin on his face thrust the Chidori towards the centipede's gaping maw.
The moment of impact was a visceral explosion of gore that splashed against his face. The lightning spread through every nerve of the curse leaving it to spasm with unimaginable pain.
But Fukashi didn't stop, he kept running with a childish grin on his face, his hand sliced through the centipede's indestructible exoskeleton with ease.
The world felt like it had frozen when he finally came to the end of the dead curse.
His hand dropped, the electricity fading away into the air. He felt blood flowing from his stomach to the ground rapidly
He let out a loud laugh as he stared at the sky.
His laugh was a mix of several cadences, it was unpredictable and discordant as fellow sorcerers watched, they felt fear.
Not at the special grace curse laid dead on the grass.
But fear of the half dead teenager stood in the park laughing and screaming at the sky.
