Mathis looked up and saw the moon overhead and the stars in the sky, he took a look at he platform he was standing on and the water around him that looked like it went on as far as the eye could see. 'Well this is new' he thought as he continued looking around while he waited for the water creature to say something. Instead of speaking it did something else it raised it's hand and with that motion balls of water began to appear all around and began to take different shapes.
Mathis looked around in awe as he looked around at the water fishes moving through the air as if swimming underwater and water birds flying overhead making noises as if they were real animals. All of a sudden a loud noise could be heard as a large whale was formed and leaped into the water that was surrounding the platform making a large splash. As he watched the water animals around him start to disappear he began to get excited as he thought 'I'm guessing these are hydro mimics, I wonder if I'll be able to create them.'
Soon after Mathis began to hear the voice of the water creature once again. 'Form the creatures of nature with the power of water and imagine life within them.' Mathis nodded his head and began to think of what to start with. He settled on something small to start off with and he formed a small shark with water like last time when he was sitting on the bench, even though it was pretty simple and wasn't very detailed it still looked decent. He held it up in his hands and began to close his imagining the shark swimming around in the ocean going around and hunting other wildlife.
He opened his eyes and saw that the shark that was in his hand began floating around. It was a weird feeling although he wasn't directly controlling it he could tell it what to do without saying anything directly mentally or physically. It was like it knew what he wanted without him having to say so. Although Mathis didn't notice it at first he eventually noticed that the longer the shark was out the more draining it felt, but he barely felt it.
'Let's see if I can go bigger.' As he thought the small shark quickly became a puddle of water since he didn't want to keep it floating around. Mathis quickly formed another shark, but this one was much larger than the previous one. Once he was done he had created a shark that was roughly 7 ft tall. Once the shark was floating around Mathis instantly regretted his decision as after a few seconds he became extremely exhausted and was panting heavily on the ground. 'It feels like I just ran a Marathon at full speed non stop. I'm going smaller, definitely going smaller.'
After catching his breath and resting for some time he began to form a much smaller one than before, but still bigger than the original he had made. This time he didn't close his eyes during the process and attempted to form it a short distance from him. Once he was finished he ended up with a shark that was around 4 ft. floating around him. As time passed he began to slowly get tired although it took much longer than before and was less exhausting. After more testing Mathis learned that he could have multiple out at a time although he got tired much quicker each time another was added. He also saw that he was able to create the balls of water anywhere around him as long as it wasn't too far.
'I'll stick to two for now if I go any higher three I won't be able to fight properly and any higher and I'll be a sitting duck panting on the ground.' After getting used to his powers Mathis felt much more excited to test it out once he was out of this place and back in Mondstadt. Mathis sat down and waited to get back his stamina after a while he eventually got up and looked at the water creature who was watching him the whole time. As he opened his mouth to say something it had disappeared from right in front of him. Not too far from where he was standing two Mitachurls began to form.
Mathis stared at both of them one was holding a shield and the other a blazing axe. Mathis frowned as he looked at both of them. 'I guess this is an opportunity to test the sharks.' He thought as he summoned a trident in hand. As both Mitachurls charged at him Mathis began forming two sharks around him. As they were approaching him the sharks were completely formed and without him needing to say anything they quickly floated towards the Mitachurls and once they reached both of them opened their mouths and chomped down.
The shield Mitachurl raised it's shield and had a chunk of it chomped off. However the blazing axe Mitachurl had a much worse fate. Since it didn't have a shield to block the attack it attempted to swing at the shark, but it was too slow and before it could one of the arms of the Mitachurl was chomped off like a hot knife cutting through butter. The blazing axe Mitachurl roared in pain as the axe fell to the ground as well as one of the arm holding it. Mathis stood there for a second surprised at how effective the sharks were 'These things are way better than I expected.'
The axe Mitachurl raised it's other hand and made a large fist which slammed into water shark. As the fist slammed into the shark it didn't stand a chance and quickly became a puddle of water. While the axe Mitachurl was doing this it didn't notice that Mathis had already snuck behind it while it as distracted with the shark that had chomped of it's arm. With a thrust of his trident Mathis stabbed the axe Mitachurl in the back of his head and turned his attention to the shield Mitachurl who was getting parts of it's shield chomped of by the shark in front of it.
The shield Mitachurl raised it's shield and smacked the shark in front of it using it. Mathis didn't miss the opportunity and threw his trident at the shield Mitachurls head from the side. Mathis watched as it's body fell and disintegrated like the axe Mitachurl in front of him. He looked at the two puddles of water on the ground and began thinking 'These guys are glass cannons they pack a punch but can't take one, and even though I wasn't fighting for that long I'm kind of tired. Maybe it's similar working out the more I do it the less tired I'll get and the more I can add on to it.'
While Mathis was in deep thought a loud roar snapped him out of it as he turned around and looked at the absolutely massive creature that had formed behind him. "A Lawachurl?! You've got to be kidding me."
Sorry I went on an unannounced Hiatus. I took a break for Genshin and the Fanfic for a little, but I’m back.
