Capítulo 30: The Gang.

______________________________________________________________________

In a secluded hot spring nestled deep in the mountains, Jogo relaxes in the tranquil environment, savoring the moment as he smokes his pipe. The misty air around him is calm, and the serene atmosphere is only disturbed by the occasional rustling of leaves. However, his peace is abruptly shattered when Mahito, completely naked, leaps into one of the pools of hot water with a splash, sending waves toward Jogo.

Jogo scowls as water splashes onto him, but Mahito, grinning mischievously, doesn't seem to care. He lounges in the hot spring, clearly unbothered by Jogo's annoyance. Meanwhile, Geto observes the scene from nearby, noticing something peculiar about Mahito.

"You're lacking in cursed energy," Geto comments, his tone inquisitive.

Mahito, still smiling, casually waves off the concern. "I had a little run-in with a new toy—a vessel, to be precise. Sukuna's vessel."

The mention of Sukuna immediately grabs Jogo's attention. He leans forward, his expression serious. "Sukuna? You encountered him?"

Mahito nods, his grin widening. "Yeah, and I get it now. I understand the value of Sukuna to our cause. That brat Itadori is full of surprises, but he's just a stepping stone. We need Sukuna back, and we need him on our side."

Jogo takes a long drag from his pipe before exhaling slowly, the smoke curling into the air. "Then we're in agreement. We'll do whatever it takes to bring Sukuna back."

Geto, still watching them with a calculating look, finally speaks. "Good. We must align on this. Sukuna is the key to our plans, and without him, we won't achieve what we're aiming for."

He pauses, letting his words sink in before continuing. "We'll use Jujutsu High to gather all of Sukuna's fingers. Those fools will do all the hard work for us, and when the time is right, we'll strike and steal them."

Mahito, resting his arms on the edge of the hot spring, chuckles at the simplicity of the plan. "Sounds like fun. Let them think they're safe. When the time comes, we'll show them just how wrong they were."

Jogo nods in agreement, his usual disdain for humans evident in his tone. "We'll make them regret ever standing in our way."

...

In the staff room of Jujutsu High, Gojo and Nanami sit across from each other at a cluttered table, papers, and documents scattered about. The mood is unexpectedly light, a stark contrast to the recent grim events. Nanami, ever the pragmatist, is discussing Yuji's recent ordeal.

"Yuji could use some lightening up after the tough mission we've been on," Nanami says, his tone thoughtful. "It was more intense than I anticipated, and I decided it was better not to tell him about the finger at the Yoshino house. And dealing with the kid, luckily the mom was found alive but we're keeping them both hidden."

Gojo, lounging comfortably with a carefree grin, nods in agreement. "Fair enough. It's probably best to keep some things under wraps for now. Besides, Yuji's enthusiasm is just what we need to lift everyone's spirits."

As if on cue, the door swings open, and Yuji bursts into the room, his face beaming with excitement. "I'm back!" he announces, his energy infectious. The sense of relief and excitement in his voice is palpable, a welcome contrast to the tension of the past few days.

Gojo's eyes light up with mischief. "Perfect timing! We've got a plan to surprise everyone. What do you say we make a grand entrance and shake things up?"

Yuji's eyes widen with anticipation. "Sounds amazing! What's the plan?"

Gojo and Yuji huddle together, brainstorming ideas with enthusiasm. Their laughter and animated discussion fill the room with a renewed sense of optimism and camaraderie. Nanami, observing from a distance, shakes his head with a small, knowing smile. He believes that just having Yuji back, alive and excited, is more than enough of a surprise.

At the Tokyo campus, the atmosphere is buzzing with anticipation of the Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event. Nobara strides in with her luggage, clearly excited but also a bit confused. "So, we're all headed to Kyoto, right?" she asks, looking around at her classmates.

Her enthusiasm is met with some bemusement by Maki, Megumi, Panda, and Toge, who stand empty-handed. Panda, with his usual casual demeanor, explains, "Actually, the Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event is happening right here in Tokyo this year. It's a competition between our schools."

Nobara's excitement shifts to frustration. "Wait, what? You mean we're not going to Kyoto? And why didn't anyone tell me?"

Maki chuckles, her tone both reassuring and teasing. "Yeah, Yuta Okkotsu was the only one from Kyoto who participated last time, and he kind of blew everyone away. It's no surprise we're hosting it here."

As if on cue, the Kyoto students arrive, their presence commanding attention. Aoi, looking around, seems a bit disappointed not to see Yuta Okkotsu among them. His eyes are narrow as he surveys the Tokyo team.

Nobara, not missing a beat, approaches the Kyoto students with a big grin. "So, where are the souvenirs you brought? I heard you guys have some pretty cool stuff."

Aoi looks puzzled, unsure of how to respond to Nobara's unexpected request. Momo, a bit nervous, looks to Mechamaru for reassurance. Mechamaru, sensing the tension, tries to calm her down. "Don't worry, Momo. We've got this. Besides, Tokyo's team has a bit of a handicap with two first-years on their side."

Noritoshi, overhearing the exchange, takes a moment to address his teammates. He glances at Megumi, then back to the group, his voice firm but respectful. "Don't underestimate Megumi. He's a Zenin, after all. If anyone's fit to lead the family, it's him—more so than Mai or Maki."

As the Kyoto students and their teacher, Utahime, arrive at the Tokyo campus, the atmosphere quickly shifts. Utahime, with a firm but exasperated tone, calls out to her students, "Enough with the squabbling. We're here for the Goodwill Event, not for petty arguments."

The Kyoto students, still adjusting to their new surroundings, are taken aback when Gojo arrives fashionably late. With a casual wave and a cheeky grin, he steps into the scene, a bag of souvenirs in hand. "Hey everyone! Look what I've got for you," he says, handing out various trinkets and treats to the Kyoto Team. The Kyoto students eagerly accepted the gifts, their interest piqued.

As Gojo finishes distributing the souvenirs, he turns his attention to the Tokyo Team. With a flourish, he announces, "And look who's back! It's Yuji Itadori!"

Yuji steps forward, ready to greet his classmates, but Megumi and Nobara's reactions are far from what he expected. Their faces are a mix of shock and something like displeasure. Megumi's eyes narrow slightly, while Nobara's expression is a mix of confusion and frustration. They didn't anticipate Yuji's return and weren't thrilled to see him at the moment.

The Kyoto Team, however, is too absorbed in their souvenirs to notice the tension. Their excitement over the gifts completely overshadows Yuji's dramatic reappearance.

Principal Gakuganji, who has been observing the scene from a distance, is visibly horrified to see Yuji. His face contorts with a mix of shock and dismay. Gojo, not missing a chance to tease, nudges Gakuganji. "Looks like even the principal didn't expect to see Yuji back. though I'd be worried, Yuji's gotten quite strong." Gojo says with a playful smirk.

Nobara, feeling the weight of the situation and still flustered by Yuji's sudden return, turns to him. "Yuji, say something! You just disappeared and showed up without a word. You owe us an explanation."

Yuji, feeling the intensity of Nobara's gaze and the awkward silence from his other classmates, takes a deep breath. "I'm sorry for not telling you sooner that I was alive," he begins, his voice sincere. "It was… complicated. I didn't mean to worry you or cause any trouble."

As Yuji tries to navigate the awkward tension, Gojo steps back with a grin, clearly enjoying the drama of the moment. "Ah, group photo, guys!"
