Capítulo 5: Chapter Five

The journey stretched before Muichiro, an open road leading to the heart of Orario.

The distance could have been traversed in less than a week with haste, but he chose a more leisurely pace, allowing himself the time to absorb the natural world surrounding him.

He heeded Moon's words, seeking moments of beauty and serenity to guide him towards a better understanding of the human emotions he sought.

As the days passed, he drank in the sights and sounds of this new realm.

He observed the sunsets that painted the sky in shades of orange and pink, marvelled at the delicate cascade of a serene waterfall, and gazed at the stars that adorned the night sky like diamonds strewn across velvet.

Each moment of observation was a step toward understanding emotions, a venture he would embark upon with determination.

....

He greeted animals that crossed his path, offering a silent acknowledgement of their existence.

His serene but sharp aura, however, often triggered their instinctual fear, prompting them to retreat.

Still, Muichiro persisted, a quiet observer in a world that was both unfamiliar and beautiful.

One night, under the luminous gaze of the full moon, Muichiro's fingers found the ocarina flute that Moon had bestowed upon him.

He sucked in air into his lungs and...a haunting melody flowed from the instrument, weaving its way through the night air.

The animals, drawn by the tune, began to converge around him, their curiosity piqued.

As the melody grew, the forest seemed to respond. The moonlight intensified, casting an otherworldly glow upon the surroundings.

Animals encircled him, their eyes reflecting a blend of wonder and calm. They listened, captivated by the song that spoke a language all its own.

The hypnotic notes resonated with the moon's radiance, and one by one, the creatures succumbed to slumber.

Some nestled close, finding comfort in the presence of the melody's creator. They rested their heads upon him, their trust and calm a testament to the harmonious music he had created.

With the final chords, the melody faded into the night, its echoes mingling with the rustle of leaves and the whisper of the wind.

Muichiro too succumbed to the tranquil ambience, lulled by the embrace of nature's lullaby.

As he drifted into sleep, Muichiro's mind held onto the memory of Moon's figure playing that same tune for him so he would fall asleep.

Tomorrow was a new day, a new chapter in his quest to understand emotions, and he hopes to experience as many new things as he can.

.....

Time flowed like a gentle river, and before Muichiro knew it, nearly half a month had drifted past.

Following the guidance of the map, he found himself facing the final obstacle before his destination: a towering mountain.

According to the map's depiction, beyond its summit lay the sprawling city of Orario, and before that, he would see the impressive Tower of Babel, an engineering marvel that was created by the gods.

....

In a serene clearing amidst nature's embrace, Muichiro stood in silence, a tranquil observer of his surroundings.

Yet, just a short distance in front of him, a lifelike figure came to life—a human form crafted from plants, wood, and ropes intricately woven together.

This practice, was an essential aspect of his preparation, for his journey, so he never stopped training...whether it was in swordsmanship or his breathing exercises, he would practice them every day.

A katana rested at his left side, its presence signifying his readiness for what came next.

It was a weapon that symbolized a warrior. The blade itself held an alluring turquoise hue, vibrant and captivating, contrasting sharply with the surrounding greenery.

As he gathered his focus, Muichiro's breath became a pronounced hiss, the air rushing into his lungs with anticipation.

With closed eyes, he eased into a wide crouched stance, summoning the technique that had been etched into his being.

The world around him seemed to blur, transforming into a sea of mist that enveloped his senses.

There was only Muichiro and the wooden dummy before him, a canvas upon which he would paint his mastery of the sword.

[Mist Breathing - Fourth Form: Shifting Flow Slash.]

The incantation played out within his mind as he entered a state of graceful fluidity. In an instant, he vanished from his original position, leaving nothing but lingering mist in his wake.

Reappearing just as quickly, he materialized behind the wooden figure, katana drawn and gleaming in the soft sunlight.

With precision and swiftness, the blade met its target. A horizontal slash, executed flawlessly, cleaved through the dummy with a satisfying precision.

The wooden figure yielded effortlessly, a testament to the artistry that he had honed.

The practice was not just about perfecting technique, but also understanding the corresponding element.

As the mist dissipated, revealing the aftermath of his strike, Muichiro exhaled softly, his heart beating like a tranquil pool...

In the six months that Moon had been teaching him, she had decided to first off-train him in the art of swordsmanship.

And the power system she chose for him actually originated from the world Muichiro, his avatar was from.

Breathing Styles are swordsmanship styles that makes use of an esoteric breathing technique known as Total concentration breathing practiced and taught by members of the demon slayer corpse.

All known Breathing Styles currently taught within the Demon Slayer Corps were derived from Sun breathing, a breathing form Muichiro has only started to dabble in.

The five fundamental Breathing Styles are Flame, Water, Wind, Stone and Thunder, in which Muichiro had currently mastered two of the five fundamental breathing styles.

Currently, the style he uses the most is mist Breathing, a sub-breathing style of wind but just as powerful...

Mist Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics mist, specifically the obscurity of mist, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities.

Most, if not all, known techniques and forms involve obscure movements and attacks that disorientate and confuse the target, similar to how a thick layer of mist obscures one's vision.

That was why most of his clothing was just a bit oversized for his body, as that way, it covered his movements and made it harder for opponents to anticipate his next move...

He took a moment to absorb the success of the manoeuvre, his eyes falling on the severed dummy, a testament to the progress he has made...

With the mountain ahead and Orario on the horizon, he decided to rest for the night and head straight to the city in the morning...
