"I would posit a guess," Ten said from Saint/Ten's shared mouth.

All attention turned to my brother.

He turned to Edmond. "You said that the laughing magic held the same icy undertones of the fertility rites on Old Earth."

Edmond nodded.

"Asta carries Fertility as a lesser power. I would submit that she is the person behind this attack," Ten said as he looked at Arasne and Kiema. "It could also explain what we found in terms of the investigation."

Kiema narrowed her eyes at us. "And what did you find?" She crossed her arms under her breasts, plumping them up high enough that I thought her nipples would pop out.

"We can discuss that after the party," Arasne said. "We've gathered to celebrate. We will celebrate." Her voice carried a hint of steel.

Right. Because forced revelry was so very fun.

"Then that's what we'll do," Kiema said, glaring at all of us.

Arasne clapped her hands together. "Wonderful. Let's get the music up and going again."
