"You okay, big brother?" Kiema whispered in my ear after a long moment.

"Yeah." I felt around inside myself. I hadn't been that fucking scared and pissed off in a long time. It would take me a while to get back in my normal headspace.

Whatever Cherry had done when she touched both Ki-Ki and me had taken off the worst edge. I could sort through each individual emotion. Inspect it, see where it fit in the grand scheme of things. I could also see where I'd allowed it to balloon out of control while fear was riding me.

My girl sure had some strong ass power going on in her tiny body. With Lukas still touching me, and both Cherry and Ki-Ki filtering my emotions, I could see the bond I already had with the smaller woman. I could also see the line I'd taken into insanity. I had never been selfish with my women, at least not inside my pack. My family. I'd been the one to introduce sharing to all of them.
