Capítulo 1: Chapter 2
She sits under a big tree, looking the very beautiful scenery. Some women passed by her, and they laughing at her. '..look, she was alone," a woman chuckled. "She is not a competition, she looks very ordinary," a woman smirked. Amelia overheard their conversation about her, but she ignored them. She just felt insecure. Suddenly, a movement caught their eyes. There's a movement on a large rock by the water's edge. The women gathered closer to the river bend, hoping that the enchanted man will show before them. "Did you see it, maybe the enchanted man will appear!" one of them exclaimed. "Let's wait and see!" Amelia suddenly got up from her sit under the tree, and also waiting. All their eyes were wide open as they saw a strange movement something in the water. A few moments had pass, a big fish appeared in the surface.
"It's just a big fish!" One of them exclaimed in frustration. They waited a few more hours,
As the hours ticked by, the women grew restless, their laughter fading into frustrated murmurs. One by one, they began to depart, their footsteps crunching on the fallen leaves as they made their way back towards the town. Amelia remained, her gaze trained on the river. She was determined to be the one who caught a glimpse of the elusive enchanted man. The air grew colder as the sun dipped lower in the sky, but Amelia refused to leave. She perched herself on a fallen log, her eyes scanning the water intently. Just as the last of the women disappeared from sight, a movement caught Amelia's eye. It was a shadow, of a man. "Oh no, maybe it's him?" she gushed.
She looks around and she found out that she was really alone. The sunset is getting ready.
Amelia thought that this will be her lucky day, among all those women, the enchanted man will show to him. Amelia keep waited, but suddenly, someone called her. "Amelia!" a man called out. Amelia turned her head, and on her great surprised, she saw her friend approaching her. "Edward?"
"Yes, it's me," he smiled. "What are you doing here?" she asked in surprised. "I also wants to ask that question," he furrowed. Amelia felt ashamed and didn't know what to say. "Your mom is looking for you all day," Edward said. "How did you know that I'm here?" Amelia asked. "I just figured out, most women come here, I knew it!" he chuckled. "So, you came down here just to find me?" Amelia was surprised. "Yes, I'm worried to your mother, waiting for you,"
"Okay fine, I'll go home," Amelia said, she look one more glance in the river. "That's not real Amelia, your just wasting your time," Edward smirked. "I refused to believe that," Amelia seriously said. "Amelia, listen to me, I'm your friend since were a kid, trust me"
Amelia walks with him to go back home. "Please don't tell my mother that you found me here, is that okay?" Amelia asked. "Sure, but promised me that you will not come back here, like other women, they are all fools," he chuckled. Amelia just didn't say anything.
