Capítulo 78: Chapter 78 Tied Up
"She kept saying that we should wait for Ms. Mary, if Ms. Mary hadn't come in time she would have been okay with you getting killed in th ew process." The students said.
Gloria cast her head down shocked at the way that the people had also easily turned their backs on her.
Her decision to leave Tina wasn't because she hated her but because she wanted to make sure that all of the other people were safe. it was a very hard decision for her to make but they made it seem like it was something that she enjoyed.
"You can't just blame me for that. I never stopped you form going. I only told you not to go because it will. End up getting all of us killed. If you realty wanted to go after Tina you would have done so yourself. And it is funny how only days ago you were in such a rush to have me become the leader and yet now here you are changing your mind." She said to them in a raised tone.
"Well we follow the side of the truth and when you see you are wrong we must admit it and call you out for it." One of the students said to her. She gritted her teeth at the sheer level of audacity that she was receiving from them. She couldn't believe that they would say such to her.
"You can't be serious. So you are telling me that you are like sheep who are simply waiting for a shepherd to come and pull you along. That you need to have someone there to hold your hand and tell you where to go.do you know how unsettling that sounds." Gloria fired back at them.
"I wasn't the only one who gave up on Tina. All of you did and at least I have a good reason but the lot of you are cowards and you would have easily gone after her in that moment but you chose not to because you didn't think that she deserved to be saved." Gloria said to them harshly.
One of the female classmates gritted her teeth as she took in the scene. She wasn't going to simply sit around and allow herself to be pushed around by Gloria.
She had been one of the few students that had pitied Tina when she had seen her in her predicament and she was done having people insult her.
She wanted to believe that Tina was a changed person and that she wasn't the same person that they had once known.
She reached out her hand and before any of the others could react she lands a firm slap across Gloria face.
The sound resonates through the forest as the others stand to watch the sight in shock. Gloria's face is forced to the side as she slowly turns back to look at the girl.
"You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to turn us against Tina. She has been the only person who has been on your side and she had been trying to convince everyone to take pity on you and this is how you repay her. She has forgiven you whilst you hurt her and all you can do in return is to curse her. we aren't the ones two are pathetic you are," she said to her in a harsh tone.
"I can't believe that we are forced to have you as our leader and even more ashamed that you are our classmate. I thought that you would have been wiser than that and that you would have known better than that." She said to her in a bitter tone.
Gloria looked towards her other classmates. The ones who had been kind to her and had always been there to defend her and had continued to stand by her side.
They were the ones who had wanted her to be their team leader and had pushed for her to be the leader rather than Tina.
However now they refused to look Gloria in the eye. They kept their heads down cast and they bit down on their lips harshly and they refused to look her in the eye.
Gloria laughed bitterly at the sight and she knew that she shouldn't have been surprised that they would turn their backs on her but she couldn't deny the far that it did hurt her a little.
They were too scared to open up and say something because they feared that they would be forced to join Gloria. it wasn't that they liked Tina now.
It was simply that they didn't want to get caught up with Gloria. They may have supported her but they didn't want to have to risk their own reputations in order to save her.
"The two of you are going to stay here until we find a more permanent punishment for you. Or maybe if you stay here long enough another wild boar or a beast will comer and finish you off. you can go from stealing the food to being the food." one of the classmates said as the others chuckled.
"Nevertheless we are leaving and you are going to stay right here." The students said to Gloria before her and Dick watched as they stood up and left.
The class turned around to leave as they left Gloria and Dick tied upon the forest floor.
"they are going to come back. They have to come back. They can't simply keep us here all day and do nothing about it." She said to Dick in protest.
However he didn't say anything to here in response. He didn't know how the night was going to play out and for the first time in a while he didn't have a plan.
Contrary to what Gloria had thought the students didn't return to get them. They spent the rest of the night tied up together.
They listened to the howling of the animals coming from around them and their own stomachs rumbling.
Ehen the sun began to cone up the next morning they had thought that the students would come back for them then but once again they were wrong as they didn't make a return.
It wasn't until in the afternoon that they heard some rustling in the bushes.
Gloria let out a sigh form her lips of relief as she had assumed that it was one of the other students that had returned in order to free them.
"Thank goodness. I knew that you wouldn't keep us here and that you were aware of the fact that you were being ridiculous by keeping us tied up in there." Gloria started to say however she was soon cut off when she realized that the person that had come to see them was Tina.
"What do you wasn't?" Gloria asked her through gritted teeth. Tina looked over at her with furrowed eyebrows before pulling out two small bowls from behind her back. One of them held a few berries whilst the other held a bowl of water.
"Well I was just bringing you some food out of the kindness of my heart. Even though you did try to steal our food...
