In the middle cemetery, far away from the action. The moon casts an ominous glow through the fog that encompasses the cemetery. Random tombstones jutting out at odd angles and the trees were devoid of life. There was a meeting.
"Lord Momonga, the hero plan seems to be a resounding success." Demiurge said, kneeling on the ground, his mask off. The location is safe, with no way of spying on them.
"After this, the Baharuth Empire will be next and Cocytus should be done with his part," Momonga nodded, glad to see the plan they made coming together so well.
"Soon, Lord Momonga, we shall give you the world and everything it contains." This plan fulfilled Demiurge's longing to be helpful, gratifying his fervent nature.
"I'm proud of you Demiurge, you've done a wonderful job."
"Please, my lord, I deserve no such praise. Merely acting in service to the Supreme ones and fulfilling their wishes is enough."
"You deserve praise Demiurge, I'm planning on giving you a reward after this, at least. You never disappoint." Momonga said with some cheer in his voice.
Demiurge, however, didn't register it. The last sentence kept repeating in his head repeatedly. You never disappoint. Demiurge couldn't believe it. He started shaking, memories of his creator flashing through his head.
If he never disappoints, then why did his creator leave?
"Demiurge, what's wrong?" Momonga said, worried. confused why he started quivering and clench the ground.
"Nothing, my lord. I apologise for causing you to worry. It is truly unforgivable. I promise, Lord Momonga, you will not be disappointed. So please, do not leave us," Demiurge said, his voice cracking at the end as he thought about it.
The words hit Momonga deep. He tried to get his friends to stay or at least to come on for the last day, but after years, even with all his best attempts, most of them drifted apart. Messages unread or ignored, people telling him to move on or grow up.
Some stayed in contact, trying to get him on other games or just talking, but everyone was done with Yggdrasil and he couldn't stop it.
"Demiurge, it's not your fault they left."
"What other reason could there be other than us not being good enough? All abandoned us but you. You're the only one compassionate to forgive our misgivings," Demiurge said, tears streaming down his crystal eyes.
"I know we weren't good enough, but we'll do better, so please lord Momonga, never leave us."
"Demiurge, It wasn't you or anyone else's fault they left."
"Why would they leave if not for our ineptitude?" He said voice broken and fear of Momonga leaving entered his heart. What would he do with no one to serve? His purpose lost? He doesn't know, and he never wants to find out.
"They all went down their own path Demiurge, none of them led to Nazarick like mine did." Momonga said, sitting on a tombstone.
"I cannot tell you where they all are or what they're doing, but we all made our choices. I stayed with Nazarick, until the end of time I'm going to stay with Nazarick, because I love it. It's my home and where I belong. So, trust me Demiurge, I'm never leaving."
"Thank You." he said trembling.
They waited there for a while, both of them needing some time to calm down.
"I'm sorry for the unsightly display, Lord Momonga," Demiurge eventually said, his voice back to normal and his face cleared up.
"I don't mind. I hope I've eased your worries."
"Yes. I meant what I said before. I'll be better, not out of fear but because I want to be."
"Good."
Putting his Jaldabaoth mask back on, he extended his claws and waited. Momonga got up and drew his sword as they began their clash..
---
"Do you not see how pointless this all is? Resistance is futile. Human nations are constantly being created and destroyed. Join me in an empire that'll last till the end of time." Jaldabaoth spoke while facing Momonga.
"I've told you already, demon, I am a warrior of humanity and we'll never side with you," Momonga said, pointing his sword at Jaldabaoth.
"I am a Demon King of Sin and Suffering. I will grow strong enough to challenge and kill the gods. You will not be the one to stop me." Jaldabaoth launched his flaming self, claws clashing with blade repeatedly, in a flurry of exchanges that were too fast to see.
He jumped up, his wings stretching as worm like tentacles squirmed out of his wings wiggling around wildly.
"[Aspect of the Devil- Tentacle Wings]" The squirming tentacles shot out all converging onto Momonga. A dark aura engulfed his sword. With one mighty swing into the air, Momonga destroyed the tentacles and forced Jaldabaoth to dodge as the swing's power launched a blast of air towards him.
Leaping at the demon, Momonga slashes only air as Jaldabaoth dives to the ground.
"[Aspect of the Devil- Stout Demon's Gigantic Arms]" His arms bulged, turning into giant green fists that dragged along the floor. Reaching up, he tries to grab a falling Momonga with an arm and crush him with his fist.
Slicing through two fingers, Momonga goes right through the hand and only barely misses the demon who leaned out of the way of his blow. Jaldabaoth twirled, slamming Momonga with the giant fist, launching him away.
Rolling onto his feet, he dived, avoiding Jaldabaoth's fists, slamming down where he was. The demon spun, making Momonga jump, dive, duck and dodge the titanic arms, trying to get close.
Stabbing his sword into one of them, he started running on top of the arms, only for it to disappear beneath him. Left stranded for a second midair with no way to move gave Jaldabaoth the perfect chance to strike.
"[Greater Fireburst]" The explosion of fire covered the surrounding area in explosive flames. Momonga came flying out of the fire, black smoke surrounding him.
Yet as soon as his feet hit the ground, he was back to charging Jaldabaoth. His strike clashed against Jaldabaoth's claws, neither able to give ground.
Momonga leaned back, catching the demon off guard, and kicked him in the chest, sending him flying. Only barely touching the ground once, before he flew back up.
"[Aspect of the Devil - Demon essence]"

Narberal kept the dragons constantly damaged and unable to leave thanks to the help of the mithril teams. The preparations they had, go far beyond other teams using every trick to fool and distract the dragons for Narberal to take action.
They got into a rhythm of each team keeping a dragon distracted so Narberal can down a dragon before attacking the other one and when the dragon was down attack it with everything they had and retreat once it started rising. But of course, the team could make mistakes.
An adventure from Sky Wolf wasn't fast enough to retreat. Before he could die, Narberal swooped in and saved him, delivering him to his friends. However, the dragon rose, finally able to get into the air.
Launching herself towards the other dragon that was trying to rise. She knocked it down as Rainbow did good damage to it. If they weren't healing, the dragons would almost be dead by now.
Flying up, she stopped mid-air, looking at the dragon that flew away from her and went towards Trixie. Diving, she crashed into the Skeletal Dragon's skull, making it crack in all directions as pieces of bone fell off.
---
Trixie tried her hardest not to laugh.
While they were all fighting, she was intercepting magic attacks and firing some back, sometimes completely immobilising the group. This gave Gazef and Clementine a chance, bringing their numbers down to nine.
When they retreated, the warriors of Kralgra jumped in, but they retreated for a reason. The magic casters killed them instantly with a spell that melted all the flesh off, turning them into skeletons that she destroyed with a fireball..
their faces when they died were hilarious.
"The one in the back, with the red robes, he's preparing something." Trixie said somehow, keeping her laughter down.
"Leave it to me," Gazef said, looking at his blade.
The magic casters moved, allowing Khajiit to the front, the tip of his staff glowing the same purple as his orb.
"Go," Trixie said in her hand, a blue magic circle that shot a thin white ball that bent around everyone and destroyed the magic barriers that were defending the magic casters.
Gazef locked eyes on Khajiit, jumping into the air, his sword glowing red. Khajiit responded in kind, the purple glow on his staff shooting out into a purple beam.
Gazef closed his eyes and imagined the move Momonga used, but he needed to change it, make it his own style. A flash of inspiration shot him out of nowhere. His eyes widened and an enormous grin took over his face.
"[Falling Crusher]" he shouted, spinning the sword around while using the same movements that he saw Momonga do. The red spinning blade, looking more like a glowing red club in Gazef hands, destroyed the beam as Gazef fell, turning Khajiit into paste.
Looking up, he sees two magic casters ready to kill him only for Stilettos to pierce through their heads as Clementine appears from his side with a giggle.
Running back, barely dodging spells while Trixie intercepted the ones they couldn't dodge. Gazef was proud of himself and his new move. He couldn't keep the smile off his face despite the situation.
That's until the dragon landed.
One of the magic casters picked up the purple orb covered in blood and aged rapidly as it glowed. The skeletal dragon landing behind him.
"Gazef I got an idea. I think I can destroy them all, but I'm going to need your ring," Trixie said, looking at the man who looked at her hesitantly. He nodded, taking off his gauntlet and giving her his ring.
Trixie held back her smile.
Finally she's got it.
