I sigh, sitting up in my bed.
My name is Zachary Kimihara, I am a half japanese living in I live in the Kaidan town Prefecture of Mushiyori City. I go to sarayashiki High school I have a head of raven black hair, I'm relatively fit due to the martial arts I do daily I could call myself handsome if I were a narcissist and people would probably agree.
the month is January the year is 2003, and I am 14 years old. This isn't my first life. for some reason I was born before my last life. I tried looking up my previous name, but it doesn't seem to even exist. It's like I was born on an alternate earth. Why am I monologing? it's probably because I just woke up and am really freaking tired. 8 years from now I'm going to buy bitcoin and be the richest man alive after sitting on it for a few years and selling hard when it reaches 100000 dollars each.
I yawn, and stand up.
For now, I just have to settle on being a poor 15 year old idiot who doesn't seem to have the motivation to do anything.
Normal worlds are boring, I wish something would happen to stop this monotonous life from being so boring. I'm half way through my first year of high-school, and my asshole teacher seems to think it's funny to fake a student's death. Telling everyone that Yusuke Yurimeshi was dead was pretty low, when he was just out sick for a few weeks was some kind of sick joke. I'm really surprised he wasn't fired for that.
with that thought I spit my tooth paste out in the sink and walk downstairs, while putting on this rediculous blue jumpsuit school uniform.
School is boring as usual, and it ends after learning stuff I already know from the American curriculum from my past life. at least the way we are re-learning it isn't as stale as the way we learned it in the USA. I can actually pay attension here. going to the MMA club, spar with my friend, Yusuke.
Yusuke is a delinquent that also happens to be a good friend of mine,
"Hey dumbass," I say to Yusuke, "Why don't you spar with me anymore?" I grin.
Yusuke looks at me with a bored smile on his face. "because I'd kick your ass, I really don't wanna send you to the hospital, Kimihara. then, he walks out with a sigh.
I stare after him, a bit suspicious. and why am I getting a bunch of dejavu when i see the cracked ring on his pointer finger?
I finish my MMA club activities, and start walking home, only for a blur to overtake me. I begin to see sword cut my forehead open, and then everything goes dark.

I find myself in a white space.

"I'm in one of the first FUCKING SHONEN POWER FANTASY WORLDS?! And I'm lucky enough to be a friend of Yusuke, and therefore a target for Hiei to piss off Yusuke. but wait, how did I die? isn't there an antidote in the hilt of the sword?!"

I choose the third option. I've always dreamed of having a growth cheat, and I remember that essence of the cultivation protagonist wont help me if I only have 30 minutes.what's the point of more power if I'm just gonna end up dead and in a death-loop for eternity. there's no chance I'm choosing impossible mode.
with that I pick hard and feel something fill my entire being.
