Capítulo 6: Chapter 6 - Selling Out The Death Eaters

"What are Death Eaters?"

She asked the old man much to his surprise.

His eyebrows shot upwards as he became more focused— where within his old brain he must have figured out that in order for me to learn a word that they made sure not to mention to me, I must have heard it somewhere before.

However, jumping to the conclusion that a Death Eater directly told me would be outlandish— this is a government building after all and they should have much better security than that.

Right?

Well, his face didn't show that he was all that confident in that fact, but he saw the need to ask anyways so he did.

"Where did you hear this from?"

Asked the old man to the girl— trying to sound as little worried as he could, to not make the girl agitated with his tone.

Yet being much older than she was within the body of the child— at least by seven years— she was able to pick up on the worry within his voice.

But she didn't show it.

Instead, she kept her head tilted and explained it away in an innocent way— after all, she was still technically a newborn child.

To life in this world at least.

"I heard one of the doctors talking about it."

Hearing that he was somewhat relieved that it might have just been a doctor with a mouth they couldn't control— and talked too much for their own good.

But all that changed when she said the next part in order to further hint at the man towards the direction she wanted.

"He said they will come for me."

Well, that did just the trick the second she said it— causing the man to shoot up in worry even though he was already standing.

His body just straightened right up.

After hearing that, she could see that the old man wanted to leave immediately in order to deal with the issue— so he made an excuse to her so that he could.

"I see, well don't worry about it. It's nothing important."

Of course, it was something important— he just didn't want her to learn about that right now since she was at quite an impressionable age where she could be influenced by anything.

And he didn't want her being influenced by Death Eaters and turning out like her father.

"I need to leave now in order to finish some matters, I promise to return soon and bring some more books for you. What type of books do you want?"

Perfect.

She had been waiting for quite a while for this. It would be the perfect chance for her to gain both a book she wanted to read and set up a premise for joining Hogwarts later on.

"I want a book from Hogwarts, like in the stories!"

Even if she didn't get a good book— all the books that were on the Hogwarts curriculum list from her memory would be useful even if it wasn't about magic.

Plus this way, her interest in Hogwarts would be set at a young age— and maybe Dumbledore would learn of this and use his crafty little brain to get her in.

Either way, the man thought for a second about whether or not he should allow a nine-year-old to have access to the Hogwarts curriculum knowledge, especially someone like her.

But ultimately nodded his head and promised that he would try to get some of the books. He thought it would do some good to teach her about how great the light wizards were and such.

Propaganda at a young age was the best propaganda.

However, that was good enough for her.

Just the thought of finally getting something to do that wasn't reading children's books was greatly motivating to progress further.

With that said, the old man took his leave from the room, leaving the girl alone with her thoughts once more.

Using this time she went over the plans for the Death Eaters and the pros and cons of doing it.

'Let's see how this goes. Depending on the reaction of the Death Eaters when they are stopped— if they are stopped— the plan will change in the future.'

She wasn't all that worried about the Death Eaters finding out that she sold them out and turning against her— since as far as they were aware of her, she wasn't able to even speak properly yet.

And even if they did find out she was the one that sold them out— they would believe she did it unknowingly.

Plus it wasn't like they would turn against her, she was the daughter of their Lord, the person they swore their life to.

Basically— she was sorta like a Princess of the dark side. In a Kingdom where the King was currently away from the Kingdom.

So she basically could do whatever she wanted with the Dark side as long as she didn't cross a certain line.

Though with that said, she had no intentions of getting involved with the dark side just yet, not until she had enough power to defend herself against anything they might do.

And thankful with the month that had passed, and her being able to eat solid food for the first time in this life, her body was slowly returning to normal.

The information panel had even updated her information to match her body's changes, making her quite happy.

It wasn't a major change but it was still great progress for literally doing nothing for a month straight. And she wasn't even fully healed yet apparently since the remark at the end didn't vanish.

So she couldn't wait to see how much it would improve when she was fully healed.

'It changed Intelligence to Mental, that's new. I wonder if it changed anything important?'

She doubt it would've changed anything important— not that it matters since she didn't even know what it meant before anyways— but she was sure she would figure it out eventually.

Besides, she had things to do now other than worrying about something so non-important.

Such as trying to figure out how to use her Dark One ability.
