Capítulo 2: I, the Humanoid Arceus

It's not that Makarov is shooting in the dark.

As a member of the Ten Wizards saints of the Ishgar continent, Makarov is quite a prominent figure.

When he says something is difficult to handle, it truly is difficult.

Makarov thought for a moment and then spoke up:

"The Council has already received the news. They are currently organizing a team to head north to eliminate 'Deliora'."

Gaal shrugged and said:

"By the time the Council gathers enough manpower, it might be next year. Besides, if they eliminate it, such good materials will be gone!"

Makarov sighed and said:

"That's something we can't help. The Council right now…"

Although the Council's responsibility is to maintain order in the magical world of the continent, the atmosphere within the Council has gradually shifted in recent years. Instead of focusing on maintaining order, it has turned towards targeting dark guilds.

While targeting dark guilds is indeed the right thing to do, if they focus solely on that, they overlook many other aspects.

Including issues like 'Deliora'.

In the Council's ratings, the threat level of such disasters does not compare to the benefits gained from eliminating a dark magic guild.

After all, demons, even if they destroy several towns, mainly cost the belongings of ordinary people.

Some of the most disgusting demons from the Book of Zeref just vanish right on the spot after being killed, offering no benefits at all.

Compared to the personnel, funding, and various magical weapons needed to eliminate demons, almost every demon extermination results in a financial loss for the Council.

Stronger demons can even cause casualties.

Over time, naturally, no one wants to go.

If it were magical beasts, that would be a different story; you could collect their bodies, and stronger ones can be sold for a good price, which could roughly break even.

In contrast, dark magic guilds are different.

Eliminating a magic guild not only brings the magical books treasured by its members but also various magical tools. Those participating in the extermination can easily take some items, and sometimes the research of some dark guild members stirs the magical world.

All of these will eventually be owned by the Council, which can then profit from their names.

With such a comparison, why would they waste time and effort exterminating demons?

In recent years, the demons appearing on the Ishgar continent have mostly been dealt with by local magical guilds or mages.

The number killed by the Council is very small.

That's why Gaal said it would probably be next year before the Council gathers personnel.

Often, demons cause enough destruction that local magical guilds or mages can't stand it anymore and find ways to eliminate them.

And this time with 'Deliora' is no different.

By the time they received the news, 'Deliora' had already been rampaging in the north for half a month, and the Council still hadn't finished organizing their forces, allowing 'Deliora' to roam freely.

After a moment of silence, Makarov spoke:

"Have you thought about how to fight it? Deliora is known as the immortal calamity demon. That's mainly due to its incredibly high magical resistance. Regular mage attacks are almost ineffective against it.

Only S-Class mages can inflict damage on Deliora. Your magical strength is still not enough, right?"

Makarov looked at Gaal.

Gaal smiled and placed his hand on the Pokéball at his waist, saying:

"Don't worry. My partners are not to be underestimated."

Seeing Gaal so confident, Makarov was taken aback, then muttered:

"Those strange Pokémon, huh?"

He expressed some surprise.

Makarov naturally knew a bit about Gaal's Pokémon.

After all, he was the one who brought Gaal back, and Gaal hadn't hidden anything about being pulled into this world through a temporal distortion due to certain reasons; those Pokémon were the beings from his world.

Makarov was no stranger to such things.

After all, that old hag Porlyusica was from another world.

And Gaal's most representative Pokémon is that little fellow called Gengar.

Although it enjoys playing pranks, it still has strength; unlike the so-called 'psychokinesis' of magic, it can act faster than magic and has many strange abilities, including wall-crossing and teleportation.

As for Gaal's other Pokémon, Makarov knew a little about them; while they could handle mages below the A-Class, they might not be enough to take on 'Deliora'.

Perhaps sensing Makarov's doubt, Gaal said:

"I wouldn't have considered attacking unless I was confident. Besides, these little guys' abilities are not as simple as they seem. They can evolve, you know."

Upon hearing this, Makarov understood.

So these little fellows can evolve; then there wouldn't be any issues.

He had seen a half-meter tall bear disciple evolve into a massive two-meter tall Urshifu.

Just from sensing it, he knew that the aura of that Urshifu was more than ten times stronger than before its evolution, easily capable of taking down an ordinary A-rank mage.

If it can still evolve, then dealing with 'Deliora' wouldn't be an issue.

Thinking of this, Makarov said:

"Go check the bulletin board to see if there are any tasks along the way. Don't take the ones from the Fiore Kingdom; leave some for others."

Makarov felt a bit of a headache.

While other places had too many tasks, he was dealing with too few; there weren't enough for Gildarts and Gaal to do.

Gildarts returns every few years, and each time he practically clears the bulletin board, leaving with a bag full of tasks.

Gaal doesn't take as many as Gildarts but he works quickly.

Who knows how there can be a mage with all elemental abilities?

Besides basic attribute magic, Gaal has also learned many other types of magic, even delving into niche ones like word magic.

Others might need water attribute mages, fire attribute mages, or magic item craftsmen to complete particular tasks.

But Gaal can adapt to nearly all those tasks.

This leads to many tasks being snatched away by Gaal before the appropriate mages arrive.

Makarov couldn't help but wonder if all those from other worlds have such extraordinary abilities.

How could anyone have such an outrageous capability?

Standing in front of the bulletin board, Gaal found himself facing a system panel.

If Gaal could hear Makarov's thoughts, he would certainly be frowning; he's not an all-element mage.

Instead....
