Capítulo 42: A SLUT IN THEIR MIDST

The place grew quiet as the video continued to play but just when Laleen thought that she had been worried for nothing, the video abruptly stopped midway and was replaced with several pictures on the screen.

Photos of Shane and her together in the cafe, pictures she was very familiar with. The whole place grew even quieter but Laleen could feel the people's growing stares as she pressed her hands nervously together. Whispers suddenly filled the room. 

Amelia immediately stood up, looking like the perfect host that she portrayed herself to be.

She had a baffled look on her face but her lips betrayed a slight smile for a split second which Laleen didn't fail to catch.

"What is going on? Who interrupted the video? Where did these pictures come from?" 

Was this Amelia's way of trying to humiliate her? She had to say she was doing a great job.

Laleen found herself recoiling into her seat even as she stared bravely at the screen.
