The sea stretched endlessly before them, calm but deceiving. Kaden stood at the helm of their small boat, steering them through the gentle waves. Geralt, as always, remained alert, scanning the horizon for any signs of trouble. The stillness was unsettling after everything they had gone through, but Kaden knew better than to get comfortable.
"Quiet," Geralt muttered from the bow. "Too quiet."
Kaden frowned but said nothing. His mind was still on the cryptic warning from the old man—Where the frost began. It gnawed at him, but with no clear direction, all they could do was sail forward into the unknown.
The boat creaked as the wind filled the sails, pushing them onward. The boat had served them well so far, but Kaden knew they'd need something more sturdy eventually. They had been lucky—no major encounters since they left the Farlands—but that luck wasn't going to last forever.
"We'll need to find a place to regroup soon," Kaden said aloud. "This boat isn't going to hold up if we get into another fight."
Geralt nodded. "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. But first, we have company."
Kaden followed Geralt's gaze. On the horizon, a dark shape was rapidly approaching—a ship, larger than theirs, and moving fast. The black sails gave it away immediately.
"Pirates," Kaden muttered, his grip tightening on the wheel. "They think we're an easy target."
"They're about to find out they're wrong," Geralt said, standing up straight, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword.
The pirate ship was closing in fast, its crew shouting and jeering, eager for a fight. Kaden could see the arrogance on their faces even from this distance. To them, it was just another small boat to pillage, another easy win to boast about later.
"They don't know who they're dealing with," Kaden said under his breath, a small smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.

High above the seas, far from the chaos of the Grand Line, the Five Elders—the most powerful figures in the World Government—sat in their ornate chamber, shrouded in shadows. The room was quiet, but the tension was palpable.
One of the elders, an older man with a long, graying beard, broke the silence. "The reports from the Farlands are troubling."
Another elder, bald and wearing round glasses, leaned forward. "We've heard these rumors before. A man with the power to freeze everything... black frost. It's an old story, passed down for generations."
"Yes," the bearded elder replied. "But this is different. There are whispers of someone who fits the description. A man with strange powers, emerging from the Farlands. If the rumors are true, this could be the one."
The elder with the glasses nodded slowly. "The prophecy... A man who will bring either great chaos or balance. The ice so cold, it can freeze time itself."
The elder with a scar across his face spoke next, his voice sharp. "We can't allow him to gain power. Whether this man is the one from the prophecy or not, we must act. If he is truly capable of wielding such a force, the world will be thrown into chaos."
The bearded elder nodded. "I've already made arrangements. A bounty has been placed. Fifty million Berries. If this man is found, we will know soon enough. If the rumors are true, we'll have him hunted down."
"But we need to be cautious," said the elder with the glasses. "We don't know for sure if this is the man from the prophecy. Acting too quickly could spark unnecessary panic."
"Regardless," the elder with the scar said, "he must be watched. The moment he shows his true power, we strike."
The room fell into silence once more, the weight of their decision hanging heavily in the air. Somewhere out there, a man with black frost powers was sailing the seas—and the World Government was already making its move.

Kaden tightened his grip on his sword as the pirates threw grappling hooks onto the side of their boat. The attack had begun.
The first wave of pirates leaped onto the deck, weapons drawn, overconfident smiles on their faces. Kaden moved quickly, ducking under a wild swing before knocking the pirate off balance and sending him crashing into the water. Geralt was a blur beside him, cutting down the pirates with practiced precision.
One pirate, taller and broader than the rest, sneered as he locked eyes with Kaden. "You're the one with the bounty on his head, aren't you? Fifty million Berries for your capture, dead or alive."
Kaden froze for a moment. "Bounty? Who put a bounty on me?"
The pirate chuckled darkly, swinging his axe in a wide arc. "Doesn't matter. All that matters is you're worth a fortune. And I plan on collecting."
Kaden ducked under the swing and countered with a sharp strike, knocking the pirate to the deck. But the man's words echoed in his mind—fifty million Berries.
Someone out there wanted him dead, and they had already put a price on his head.
"Geralt!" Kaden called, his voice tight. "We need to finish this quickly."
Geralt, having already dispatched several pirates, nodded. "Leave the rest to me."
The pirate captain, seeing his crew falter, jumped onto the boat with a roar, his massive broadsword raised high. He charged at Kaden with surprising speed, but Kaden was ready. Their blades clashed with a loud ring, and Kaden quickly sidestepped, landing a solid blow that sent the captain crashing to the deck.
The fight was over in seconds.
Breathing heavily, Kaden sheathed his sword and looked down at the fallen captain. "Who put a bounty on me?"
The pirate captain coughed, blood staining his lips as he glared up at Kaden. "You... you don't understand. The World Government... they know what you are. You're dangerous... they won't stop."
Kaden's heart raced. The World Government? They had no idea who he really was—or did they?
The captain groaned, his last breath leaving him as his eyes closed. Kaden stepped back, his mind swirling with questions. The World Government was already after him, and he didn't even know why.
Geralt approached, wiping his sword clean. "Sounds like we've got a bigger problem than pirates."
Kaden nodded slowly. "Yeah. And it's only going to get worse."
The pirate captain's words hung heavy in the air. Kaden stood still for a moment, staring at the lifeless body on the deck. Fifty million Berries. The World Government knew about him, knew about his powers—or at least the rumors of them. But how? Why?
He wiped the sweat from his brow, trying to focus, but his mind raced. He wasn't just dealing with pirates or bounty hunters anymore. If the World Government was involved, it meant something much bigger was at play. The thought sent a chill down his spine.
Geralt broke the silence, his voice calm but firm. "They know who you are. Or at least, they think they do."
Kaden nodded, still processing the gravity of the situation. "The World Government... they're hunting me. But why? I haven't done anything."
"Maybe they're not looking at what you've done," Geralt said, glancing down at the pirate captain. "Maybe they're looking at what you can do."
The cryptic words from the old man echoed in Kaden's mind—Where the frost began. Was this prophecy tied to his powers? Had his mere existence triggered some ancient fear? It felt like his world was closing in, the walls getting tighter with each passing moment.
Kaden kicked the pirate captain's axe into the sea, the sound of it splashing against the water breaking the heavy silence. "We can't stay out here like this," he muttered. "If they've put a bounty on me, it won't stop with these guys. We'll need to figure out our next move fast."
Geralt cleaned the last of the blood from his blade, his gaze still scanning the horizon. "We'll need a better ship and more allies if we're going to survive whatever's coming. This is just the beginning."
Kaden sighed, steering the boat back on course. "We don't even know where to go. There's no point in running if we're blind."
Geralt grunted in agreement. "True. But we don't need to figure everything out right away. Let's focus on the basics for now—staying alive."
As the boat sailed through the now eerily calm sea, Kaden couldn't help but glance back at the horizon, where the pirates had come from. He could feel it—the world was changing around him, and he was at the center of it, whether he wanted to be or not.
"We'll find answers," Kaden said, his voice low but determined. "But first, we survive."
The sun began to set, casting a reddish glow over the water. The sea was quiet again, but the silence felt different now—more dangerous. Kaden could feel the weight of the bounty pressing down on him, like a shadow lurking just out of sight. The World Government wouldn't stop, not until they knew for sure what he was. And if they ever confirmed the truth, Kaden knew the hunt would only intensify.
Geralt leaned against the side of the boat, his eyes locked on the distant horizon. "So, what's the plan?"
Kaden let out a slow breath, his gaze fixed ahead. "We keep moving. Find somewhere safe to regroup. Figure out what's going on with this prophecy and why they're after me. But most of all... we stay off their radar as long as we can."
Geralt smirked. "Easier said than done."
Kaden nodded, knowing full well how difficult it would be. But they didn't have much of a choice. The world was hunting him now, and whether he liked it or not, they were part of something bigger. Something dangerous.
"Let's just hope our luck holds," Kaden said quietly, steering them into the night.
The boat sailed onward, carrying them into the unknown, the weight of the prophecy and the growing bounty casting a long shadow over everything.
3 of 3 Chapters as promised.
I hope you liked the idea with the prophecy.
