"Well dear brother if you want them so badly they're both yours but even with your new title as Duke of Anahita one can only have one wife. So who will you choose? Each woman has their merits and each one is of stellar upbringing. No matter what woman you wed you will bring the best results in offspring." The King said in a booming voice as he smiled mischievously at Calder.
"Why did I open my mouth?!" Calder cried silently. His hands were shaking, his body was now drenched in sweat and his mouth had gone dry. He looked into his older brother's eyes and saw the mocking laughter reflecting in them. Calder scowled. "If you only knew I was actually saving your a**! I'm not even your real brother! I just got married in a different world and now I'm here trying to save people I read about! How the hell did I get here?!" Calder cried internally.
.....
Taki was over the moon. Being the baby of a large family was not easy. He was always the odd one out, the black sheep of the family, the runt of the litter. His family was made up of two very loving grandparents who in turn had raised 10 kids with so much love and affection that they too turned around and found loving partners.
Kiki Hamako found true love at a young age and married after graduating from High School. She then had 8 kids of her own, she thought 10 was too many and settle on 8. Taki was her last baby and unfortunately for him he was a far cry from all his other siblings. However, it never stopped Taki from living his life happily.
He was not the best looking by comparison to the rest of his family but he was attractive if he stood alone. He had a baby face and charm that made him quite a looker. His wealth and status weren't bad either, though he wasn't the heir to Hamako Enterprises, the leading enterprises in anything and everything in S Nation, it didn't mean he was doing poorly for himself.
His family prided themselves in always living by their family motto. "Dream big but do better." and almost the entire family did. There was never any pressure to follow the family business and because of that over the generations the Hamako name grew. The family started off by selling the first house hold blender and believed in marrying for love. So when it came to their family business it always came second.
The Hamako's focused on reproducing and building a family unit and because of their strong family bond it showed their customers they were someone they could trust. So Hamako blenders were in every house in their home town the first year. By five years they were being sold in a 100 km radius and by 10 years it grew beyond their imaginations. So the Hamako's decided to venture into new businesses.
Many generations later they created beauty products, medicine, electronics, designer labels, movie productions, publishing companies, consumer goods and restaurants.
So no child was ever pressured into a business, each one chose their careers and ventured off into the world.
Taki always loved reading and found it almost impossible to wait for a new book so he decided to work in one of his family's novel publishing company when he was old enough. Just so he could sneak in a peak on all his favourite books. To his surprise he found a knack for giving advice. He often tracked down the editors so he could voice his opinion and actually met with the authors.
His parents and seven older brothers and sisters were excited and super supportive of his new passion. Taki then climbed through the ranks and proved himself worthy to become the president of the company. Sometimes he would even use his authority to read his favourite author's works before the manuscript was sent off to publishing, he wasn't giving up on his hobby any time soon no matter how busy he was.
Years had gone by and Taki was living in his personal heaven without wanting any change. His parents grew worried as he reached his 37th birthday. "Happy birthday Taki. This is for you." Mrs. Hamako said as she gave her son a rather large envelope. Mr. Hamako sat in his favourite chair, nursing his cup of green tea while the rest of the family held their breathes as they watched. "Thanks mom." Taki said happily as he opened his gift.
He pulled out a glossy, black, portfolio from within the decorative envelope. "What is it?" Taki asked as he opened the portfolio then his eyes practically jumped out of his sockets. "I know what you're going to say but baby, my sweet angel Taki, you have horrible taste in women." Mrs. Hamako said flatly as she gently touched Taki's hand. "You want me to get married?" Taki asked as drool started to spill from his mouth.
Inside the portfolio was a picture of a pure looking girl. She had sleek black hair and dark brown eyes. Her skin was fair and her smile was charming, Taki couldn't help but want to hold her.
"Yes!" The whole family shouted.
Taki was dumbstruck. He had no idea his whole family was dead set to see him get married. "But doesn't this go against your teachings?" Taki asked his mother. "Taki..." Mrs. Hamako said with tears brimming her eyes. "Taki your last girlfriend was bent and only wanted your money." One of Taki's brothers shouted out.
"The girlfriend before that wanted you to leave your job and bum around the world with you."
"Oh remember the one that didn't like to shave! G*d she always wore tank tops and smelled so bad."
"What about the one with the teeth and far apart eyes!"
"Oh! The one that looked like a flounder!"
"Yes!"
"Oh my G*d was she awful to look at but she had a great body! Taki What did you do when you wanted to ***k her? Paper bag?!"
"Taki's still a virgin you moron!"
"No sh*t Taki you still haven't popped that cherry! Cheese and rice are you still waiting for that romantic fairy tale love?"
Soon the whole family started to laugh. "Anyways why did you bring up Cinnamon?" Taki shouted as his face burned a bright red.
"For the love of all good in this world her name was Cinnamon?!" Taki's third older sister hollered.
