Tearju woke up thinking of today as an unforgettable event because she would be dating her idol. She smiled as she got up to head to the bathroom
Tearju took a shower and after finished lay down on her bed wrapped in a towel. She felt her heart pounding, but she was also nervous.
Initially, she thought of wearing a casual skirt and blouse since they were only pretending it was a date. But suddenly, Tearju felt anxious. She began to worry if it would be rude to treat this casually or if Allen would feel that she didn't care about the date.
Tearju ended up hurriedly changing into a white dress, applying light makeup with red lipstick, and styling her blonde hair to look even better.
Seeing herself in the mirror, she started to regret and feel embarrassed; perhaps Allen would think she was too desperate if she dressed up too much.
While Tearju hesitated, time passed. She decided to forego makeup but wear pants and a blouse. Then she thought she looked strange and ended up changing the pants for a skirt.
...
Allen abruptly ended his kiss with Raven and she felt embarrassed and locked herself in her room. Allen didn't push her and gave her space to think.
Allen pulled out his phone and saw the time, today was his date with Tearju. Several girls wanted to question him but he used the excuse that he didn't want to keep Tearju waiting and put on a smart new black shirt and new pants.
Gwen dismissed him at the entrance, the girl could not believe that she was dismissing her boyfriend to go with another woman, she looked at her own actions with self-criticism, who told her to fall in love with a womanizer?
"Don't do anything kinky on the first date~"
"Do you think I'm a beast or something?"
"Hehee~"the girl laughed beautifully
"..." Allen was speechless.
In NYC, people prefer the subway or taxis to drive themselves because traffic was torture, getting stuck for hours there was just impractical. However, Allen didn't want Tearju to walk or endure the shouts of a taxi driver having a bad day.
Allen pulled out a Tesla, a normal vehicle by Allen's standards, but there was nothing he could do. Tearju wouldn't feel comfortable if Allen arrived in a Bugatti or Lamborghini for her.
Allen wasn't going to drive there either; he took out his wand and used "Apparition," along with the vehicle.
Soon he was in front of Tearju's apartment. Allen glanced around and noticed a group of guys on skateboards looking shocked in their direction.
The only downside to using this technique is the potential witnesses; an automobile appearing out of nowhere isn't common. Allen got out of the vehicle and walked towards the youths.
"You!"
"Gentlemen."
Allen pulled out a Neuralayzer and proceeded to erase their memory.
Remember that Allen is incognito with round glasses hiding his identity. He had stopped dyeing his hair at this point, finding it bothersome. Besides, glasses should do the trick, they worked for Clark Kent, so Allen thought they should work for him too.
Allen reached the building and pressed the intercom.
"Tearju, I'm your fiancé~" Allen joked, expecting an embarrassed reaction, but instead Tearju responded hurriedly as if she were about to burst, not even paying attention to Allen's words.
"Allen?! It's already ten?! I'm sorry, I had a setback, give me five minutes!!"
"Okay, don't worry..."
Tearju cut off the communication without saying goodbye. Allen returned to his car and reclined in the driver's seat.
[Host?]
"If there's one thing I've learned in all my years with women, five minutes said like that is at least an hour..."
"I see..."
As if it were an omen, Allen was right, and Tearju came out an hour and twenty minutes later.
Allen was leaning against his vehicle while waiting for her; he had a cheeky smile seeing Tearju embarrassed for making him wait.
She felt bad and approached with her head down, expecting to be scolded.
Allen placed his hand on her chin and looked at her curiously. She was wearing a simple black one-piece dress without a neckline, accentuating her curves prominently, adorned with discreet pink lipstick and a bit of makeup, although from Allen's point of view, she didn't need it; she was already beautiful without it.
"I see, so this is what I was waiting for..." Allen said playfully.
"I'm sorry!"
"You look very beautiful, so it was worth the wait" Allen smiled.
"...!"
Tearju choked on her words and then let out steam from her head; Allen guided her, still in a state of shock, to the passenger seat.
Tearju snapped out of her shock when they had already gone several streets. She nervously placed her hands on her lap, trying not to look at Allen; she felt uncomfortable.
'Was it necessary to embarrass me like that?' Tearju puffed up her cheeks.
Allen, seeing this, used his finger to poke her cheek. Tearju was surprised by this.
"W-what are you doing?!"
"Sorry, but you looked so cute I couldn't help it."
Tearju frowned, still blushing. "Mr. Walker, are you forgetting that I'm your teacher? You should show a little respect towards me!"
"I refuse!"
"Huh?"
Allen stopped at a traffic light and turned to her with a cheeky smile. "During this day, you are my fiancée, and I will treat you as such, so be prepared."
"...!"
Tearju stopped moving; it seemed like her mind had frozen and her brain had stopped working. Allen laughed and continued driving.
...
Behind them, a group of gangsters in three vans followed, all armed. Don Fortunato didn't take it lightly that three of his henchmen ended up in the hospital, unable to remember what had happened.
Vincent Fortunato made sure to find out what had happened; he even tortured them, but he couldn't get anything out of them; it seemed their memories had been erased.
Fortunato wasn't a man who survived in the underworld by being stupid; he thought about the possibility of something like this happening, and he concluded that Tearju Lunatique's so-called fiancé was a mutant, one with the ability to erase memories.
Fortunato wasn't intimidated by such a thing; you could shoot lightning, fly, or shoot a laser from your butt; if a bullet hit you, you would bleed just the same.
With that in mind, he ordered his subordinates to capture him, and if he resisted, they would kill him. However, they also had orders to wait until he separated from Tearju; Vincent didn't want to scare Tearju; in fact, his ideal scenario would be for Allen to be captured in secret and disappear so that it would seem like he stood her up.
"Damn it, we had the perfect opportunity!"
One of the gangsters with a tattoo on his neck cursed as he drove.
"There was no way to know that guy was the fiancé," another gangster replied.
Certainly, for them, it was a good opportunity, seeing Allen leaning on his vehicle, but Tearju's building had more tenants than just her, and they had no information on what Allen looked like or even certainty that he existed.
Fortunato received a call while relaxing in a chair in a luxurious room.
Vincent Fortunato was a sixty-year-old man with wrinkles and baldness, but his ruthless and calm gaze testified to his many years as a criminal.
He lives in a world with superheroes, villains, mutants, and gods, but he remains one of the most powerful mobsters alongside characters like Kingpin.
This man managed to be an influential figure, so he was not lacking in cunning and intelligence.
"Let me see what you're capable of kid..."
...
Allen took Tearju to the movies, and as expected, Tearju attracted everyone's attention upon arrival. Normally, she was accustomed to standing out no matter how discreetly she dressed, but at this moment, she felt uncomfortable being seen.
She grabbed Allen's sleeve, and he took her hand to reassure her.
"Allen?"
Allen understands that attractive people, whether women or men, attract attention, and it's something unavoidable.
"But..." Allen narrowed his eyes, and for a moment, his pupils turned red. "They're looking at her too much..."
Everyone around them, especially the men, felt chills and the need to move away immediately.
Tearju looked at Allen with a slight smile.
"Well, you won't blame me for being jealous, right?"
Tearju laughed, covering her mouth. "You're quite shameless, you dare to be a womanizer but jealous at the same time."
"In my defense, I'm fully aware of my hypocrisy, which is why before any woman is mine... I try to stay on the edge."
"Oh, and what does that mean, Mr. Walker?~" the woman asked, acting flirtatious as she hugged Allen's arm.
"I don't judge their actions, I don't meddle too much in their lives, I don't usually seek too much attention or ask for it," Allen looked Tearju in the eyes. "How should I put it? I keep my distance without pressing, after all, I'm a man equivalent to deadly poison, so every woman should think carefully if I'm what she wants in her life."
"Oh~ that sounds very kind of you for someone who walks around school with three beautiful girls~"
"Wait, I tried to be discreet and was my entire life, but it came to the point where it just seemed silly to worry about others when there's some intergalactic bug trying to kill me every week."
Tearju's smile faded; she knew she had no right to say anything about that aspect of Allen's life. Even before meeting him in person, she cheered him on during his fight against Hulk. But now that she has him by her side, now that she feels his warmth, smells his scent, hears his voice, even feels his presence, she can't help but feel guilty.
Allen isn't a character from a movie; he's not the protagonist of a fairy tale... he's by her side, breathing and feeling... therefore, suffering.
Tearju tightened her grip on Allen's arm; he looked at her confidently, and she smiled with a bitter expression.
*Tearju's POV*
How much would it hurt to have your arm torn off? When would it hurt to be pierced by a sharp bone spike? How much would it hurt to have your bones broken and be forced to move anyway?
I have no right to ask him for anything. I can't simply tell him that I don't like seeing him hurt, I don't like seeing him face monsters and get hurt by them, I don't want to see him bleed, I don't want to see him suffer...
But do I have the right to stop him?
I understand why he does it. I understand that if he didn't, our world would have ended like those apocalyptic worlds. I understand that thanks to him, I can continue with this normal life...
But now that I have him by my side, I realize that I saw Allen as some kind of hero from a story or a fantasy character.
It felt unreal as if by turning on the stream, they were watching an incredible movie. But that's not how it is, Allen is more than just a character. He has his life outside the cameras and I am part of that life.
My feelings of admiration and concern for him are conflicting. I want to tell him that he doesn't need to bear that responsibility and that there must be other people in the world who can take care of all those problems.
But is that true?
Could anyone stop a raging Hulk, or would our world have ended by the time they succeeded? I'm sure there are very strong people—I know a few myself—but when would they manage to stop Hulk? How much of the world would be left by the time they did?
Allen is necessary... and that's why it's painful...
Ah... I'm quite pathetic... I'm sure Gwen, Mary, and even Felicia experience this feeling, but they never show it on their faces; they are strong girls... it's no wonder they entered the heart of this incredible man.
*End of POV*
Tearju smiled as Allen stopped; she snapped out of her thoughts, and before she could apologize for being silent, Allen pulled her into his arms.
"Allen?!"
"Tearju-sensei... I am strong..."
"..."
"I am very strong, I have many powers, I can even time travel, go to other dimensions, and live in space."
"For me, escaping is simple, surviving is more so. For me, the apocalypse is not an end, just another event."
"I could abandon everything, turn around, and look for a quieter place."
"Destroying is easy, hurting is easier, killing is something simple... protecting is difficult, taking care of others is even more so." "Heh, I think I'm quite foolish..."
"That's not true."
"Yes, I am. I should have dominated the world or just treated it like my playground because I have the power to do so. Instead, I keep carrying responsibilities that I shouldn't have."
"..."
"At that moment..."
"I remember the first time I saw Doomsday; out of nowhere, I appeared in the worst place and time possible..."
"From killing slimes to fighting the devil... life is cruel and unfair to ordinary people."
"When I saw Diana in danger, there was a fleeting thought, a thought that even now disgusts me." Allen paused to look into Tearju's eyes. "I thought about running away or just doing nothing..."
It was only for a moment, and then a wave of self-disgust washed over me; having received such incredible power, I am still pathetic. If only I had turned around and escaped, if I had let Diana die, what would have become of me?"
"..."
"No, that's not..." a huge rage surged from within me as if someone else's feeling of disappointment and anger with me. "I'm not a hero... but as I said, protecting something is difficult, my loved ones, my friends, my viewers, even the trolls, my world, and myself... turning around and doing that would be losing everything..."
"..."
"THAT IS SOMETHING I WILL NEVER ACCEPT!..." Allen let out a heavy breath and calmed down. "Tearju... that's why you shouldn't feel sad or worry, I'm not a child suffering from fate, I'm a man fighting of my own free will" Allen smiled "That's not enough?"
"That's..."
"I am poison... I am a bad guy... I am selfish... I am jealous... I am possessive... I am a womanizer ... and being near me will cause you worry and pain..."
Tearju shook her head repeatedly to deny the statement, "You are someone wonderful!"
"Thanks..." Allen smiled again. "Even so, do you still want to go on a date with me?"
Before Allen could finish speaking and was completely taken by surprise, Tearju kissed him...
'You're a fool, Tearju, worrying about trivialities! Do you suffer? Do you care about him? Here he is doing his best to help you, still worrying that you're having a good time, and you, on the other hand, only show weaknesses!'
Being close to him is a commitment that cannot be made with half a heart; as he said, being close to him would cause her worry and pain. Tearju didn't want a superficial relationship with Allen, even if it meant taking on a great burden.
She clung to Allen with all her might, trying to convey that he didn't have to worry about her.
Allen smiled as he broke the kiss; Tearju, breathless in his arms, looked at him entranced, soon realizing what she had done in the heat of the moment and panicked.

A/N: In defense of the womanizing bastard, this time he wasn't trying to seduce the girl, honestly that's what he thinks... yeah sure the results were the same... but the intention was different.
