Capítulo 2: I'm still a baby, so what?
Okay, okay, so I read the information that the appraisal showed me, but what do I do with it? For starters, the fact that I now hear a divine voice (Temporary name) makes my reincarnation pretty clear: this world I came to is definitely not Earth; there was no such thing as skills and abilities or magic, to say the least.
As a baby, though, my life is pretty simple and not very entertaining; there's no such thing as electricity, never mind a phone! Or a video game console! ahhhh, I might still be small, but I would trade anything to get some video games; everything is so dull when I can't even walk properly. So, what my life so far has been like is, cry, get fed, poop my pants, and cry again; worst of all, because I'm still a baby, my control when it comes to peeing myself or pooping my pants is just going haywire, even when I try not to!
Moving along, I have discovered how helpful appraisal is; for instance, I now know my and my parents' stats. Judging by what I saw, they're definitely no super powerful parents, but they're also not weak, or that's what I think anyway; since I'm a baby, I haven't had the chance to appraise monsters or anything else but other people, when mom takes me out to the market.
Judging by how everyone treats my mom, they're respected by everyone in town; Dad is like some sort of town guard, so everyone treats Mom kindly. Thanks, Dad! A lot is still new for me, and sometimes I see things I have never seen; for example, the last time we went to the market, a lady was getting ready to roast a colossal hog! She got into a weird position, placed her hands toward the dead hog, chanted some kind of spell, and boom! FIRE! It just spontaneously appeared out of what seemed like nothing! wooow! I'd like to know when I will be able to do that!
There are a lot of exciting stories about gods and demons as well; how do I know, you ask?! Because Mom is always telling me the same stories over and over again before bed, crazy stories about human heroes that defend humanity from evil crazy monsters and demons and whatnot, at first I thought it was all just legends, but, well, you know, this isn't Earth anymore. There are ladies making fire spew out of thin air, so those stories might not be so farfetched.
Since I'm still a baby, I concentrate most on learning the language. I have even begun to try and read some stuff. I clearly know what it is that has a label. Still, it's not much for now, but I bet once I can start talking, I will improve much faster; for now, I will just keep paying attention to my surroundings and poop my pants every day until I can talk!.
ahhh, when will I finally be able to speak? Why am I even conscious right now?! What kind of evil god decided to make me aware of baby years?! Couldn't they have sent my soul to a 4-year-old kid like in those other light novels?! Why do I suffer this calamity of being a baby? For god's sake, I have been unable to do anything!! ahhhh, no point in complaining yet, I still do, TwT, hey! Stop judging me! I'm not over-exaggerating; you just don't get it!.
