Capítulo 7: 7.New Identity
As Seraphina was in deep thoughts an old hoarse voice questioned her, "Who are you? How did you come here?"
"Umm… well, you see…"
She didn't know the proper way to respond to that question as her answer might create trouble for her.
Seraphina was cautious. She wanted to know who the person asking her the question was ? A foe or a friend.
The way she replied was acceptable due to her tattered condition and dirty appearance.
The old man was kind in nature but it was impossible to fool him.
The outer appearance of the girl standing in front of him was quite troubling but her clear vivacious golden eyes were not that of a troubled person.
Jack's old eyes could see through the outer appearance of the girl.
"What is it? I asked you a question. Answer me?"
Seraphina was at loss. She did not know the proper way to proceed in this situation when she wanted a new identity and begin a new life.
Anything negative could become a problem for her to create a new identity.
"Umm…that…I don't know."
Seraphina quietly muttered. She could only try to pretend like other transmigrated novels she had read before in the past.
Maybe the old man might sympathise with her due to her pitiful appearance.
She tried to squeeze some tears out as she performed once again like before she was in the orphanage.
Poor kids like her know how to find their way in life through many hacks. It could be easy depending on the opposite person.
"I really don't know. I was in a turbulence and then I landed here. Where is this? Uncle please help me. Take me to the authorities. I want to go home."
Seraphina outright started howling in tears like a poor little girl abandoned outside.
She was aware that Angelo's family must not have registered her under their name and even though she went to the authorities no one would ever find anything about her past.
After all, she was just a stupid little girl hidden in a side house, imprisoned with her mother. Even her step siblings do not know anything about her nor did she have any information about them.
Seraphina was now Seraphina but still felt a pang of sadness in her heart for the poor lost soul.
The previous Seraphina was truly lonely.
'I promise I will fulfil your wish. Everyone will know how powerful you are'
Seraphina promised herself.
Old Jack was confused, was this girl abandoned on the garbage star but who will throw their precious daughter on this planet where birds don't shit.
It was difficult yet still acceptable. There are people in this world who do not take good care of their offspring.
"Where is the spacecraft that dropped you here?"
"I don't know. Last I know we were attacked and then I am here. I don't remember anything."
"You were attacked." Old Jack asked, concerned about her. All the previous suspicion was forgotten and he was genuinely sorry for the little girl.
After all, throwing away such a beautiful daughter was not something a sane person would do.
Even if she doesn't have any ability, old Jack could see her beauty even in this poor condition.
"Child! What is your name? Calm down! I will take you to the identification office. This is a garbage star 4320. You must have been attacked by those pirates."
Any suspicion regarding her arrival has left his mind and he was genuinely caring about the lost child.
Seraphina never expected that the old man would change his tune so fast but it was good for her. She accepted his help.
"Thanks grandpa."
She had your magical eyes to spy on the old man and found him to be ordinary so she wasn't scared of going with him.
Beside this was a garbage star and with a number so it was a nameless star, no one would be curious about this place.
Even if the news of spaceship destruction reached the ears of the Angelos family and someone with a screw loose in his head wanted to search about their bloodline, they would never think about searching for an unknown star.
It was good, nothing could be better than this.
As Seraphina expected, after arriving inside the identification centre of the federal government, her blood was taken for identification and matching DNA but nothing was found in their database.
Afterall, she was never registered in the file, since Alina, the fraud mother, wanted to replace her body.
All the hazy memory was coming back to her slowly as time passed.
Since Seraphina was pretending to lose her memory, after some counselling and interrogation it was confirmed that she was not a spy from other Nations and was not a dangerous person. She got a new identity and was registered as a new citizen of 4320 garbage star.
"Thank you, grandpa Jack and Mr uncle. I will cherish this opportunity well."
Seraphina was not aware that everything was easy because old Jack came with her and took this matter lightly without knowing the truth about the strict action taken to an unknown group of people who can't prove their identity in the federation.
Since she was an orphan, she was provided with basic amenities meant for orphans and abandoned children.
She got a small house , new light brain, free admission to school and a stipend of 5000 rial. Rial was the currency of the federation.
Every month she would get this money until she reached the age of eighteen.
Seraphina was satisfied with this condition and finally had time to look after herself.
She was in poor condition but everything was slowly repairing in her body. It might be because of the forbidden ritual. Her body was adapting.
She had to gain fame and make Angelo's family lose face in front of others for her to get out of this death trap.
Ten years.
It was a long yet short time. She had to work even harder than before.
This unique world, she was ready to experience it.
"Wow!"
Seraphina was amazed as she looked at her face in the mirror after taking a bath.
The cold pale face, dark black hair and golden eyes were strikingly gorgeous.
It was wonderful. She couldn't believe the beauty standing in front of her.
"This is me. I am so pretty. Ha ha ha! What a jackpot. I love this."
"But golden eyes? Didn't this body previously have black eyes? How did this happen?"
